My uterine pre cancerous cells returned to normal after going on an omad diet and cutting out all processed food. I get tested every 6 months with a biopsy to survey. It’s been over a year and all is still well but there is always the worry. I don’t want to do a hysterectomy so I’ll keep this up and soon hope to be biopsied only once a year. I watched Chris beat cancer and followed much of his advice. Praying for you!
I had a second endometrial of 11.2 mm I also bled for two months, but then it quit , I did go in for a biopsy and then also a DNC and they removed a whole bunch of polyps, luckily for me, it did come back benign but the doctor did tell me if they come back again. I might not be that lucky I just need to keep up and keep checking on it but I haven’t did it the last two years. , I do plan to make an appointment for check up. Praying for all the ladies that are going through the same thing I know it’s scary. I had this done when I was 58 years old that’s July I will turn 60 ❤🙏🏽

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it was clear, concise, non jargon words used and useful. I a 50 years old post menopausal woman and had spotting. My doctor immediately arranged a Paps smear, an ultrasound scan pelvis and transvaginal scan where it was found I have 4 fibroids, ovarian cyst and a 6mm endometrium. After being referred to a gynaecologist, she asked questions and did a pelvic exam and I had to do a blood test for cancer screening. I am scheduled hysteroscopy, D&C with endometrial biopsy, Transvaginal scan (again) and a IUD implant at the hospital in 3 weeks. Wish me luck 😀!
Thank you for your kind words. I am in the clear - no ovarian cancer, the Paps smear for cervical cancer is negative and endometrium biopsy came back as negative as well. The Merina IUD implant worked and my endometrium is now back into normal range, under 5mm. The 4 fibroids are less than 4 cm and causes me no issues at all. The ovarian cyst is not cancerous and is not causing me any issues or pain either.

Very well made video, Dr Rao. Thank you! For postmenopausal women under estrogen blockers such as Tamoxifen and Letrozole for breast cancer treatment, is 9mm considered normal?
I am in old age bracket , menopause, no bleeding for past 3,4 years and just yesterday my doc wants me to go to gynaecologist for biopsy. I am very scared. Don’t know how think is lining.
This was a good video. It explained more and but it is scary. I'm 58 and mine is 7.4mm No bleeding since Sept 2020. My doctor is checking for cancer. She couldn't do the biopsy because my cervix wouldn't open. Back to round 2 next month. I am terrified!
I had terrible pain with 2-3 week periods heavy bleeding and blood clots. I had one D&C and one normal period but it came back with heavy bleeding and clots. Because my mother died from sarcoma starting on her uterus I insisted they remove mine. I had a thickened uterine wall and after the partial hysterectomy my diagnoses was endometriosis of the uterine wall muscle. It was the size of a four month along uterus. I was 51. I had to switch doctors to get one to do the elective hysterectomy, even though I was quite anemic.
Hi Dr. Rao - I have done an ultrasound and found I have a 13mm thick endrometrium. I am 70 years old and have a history of cancers in the family. Do you recommend a hystrectomy? you have spoken about heterescopy - is this done with mild anesthesia? Please respond. Thanks
Hi just wondering as your endometrium measured 0.9cm were you spotting and what procedure did your doctor suggested that you should do? Thanks for your response.
I have heavy bleeding and lots of blood clots and lower pain I went to the hospital they did many test all my blood work was fine I'm not anemic but my ultrasound came back abnormal 26 mm thickness in my uterus and a 9.5 large uterus and my left ovary has cyts and they couldn't find my right ovary maybe because I didn't drink enough water. My period was so light for a week and this last week it's been so heavy I'm on a waiting list to see a gyn what could be wrong this is so scary for me I'm not use to this heaviness I'm use to long periods but never heavy.

I had d&c this morning due to abnormal uterine bleeding and thick endometrium. I was under spinal anesthesia so I'm awake. After the procedure, I was transferred to recovery room and OBGyn explained the d&c failed. Is there such thing? She said, my cervix isnt open, she tried inserting the instrument but can't. She did not proceed as she was scared to rupture it. Now I'm having doubts if there was a malpractice. Why they gave me anesthetic without checking first if my cervix is dilated? Prior surgery, she asked me to place 2 gelcaps of evening primrose vaginally for every 4 hours. I've done this 3x so 6 caps in total. 😔 I don't know. I'm worried. Now I'm experiencing slight bleeding and painful urination. I'm still admitted and will be discharged tomorrow. She wasn't able to get specimen so how would I know the cause of my bleeding? She told me we'll just try oral meds and see if my bleeding will be resolved. So there was other option? I wasn't informed. I was told surgery would be the only option 🙄
This happened to me. I was getting a IUD put in and my cervix had completely closed. They were going to do a D and C but ended up opening it was a surgeons knife. It is called haematometra. This means your uterus is retaining all your period. I went to the sexual health clinic and they sorted all of it out for me. They were really good. Not sure where you live. But hopefully it is sorted.

@@Moon52171 hi just wondering was the biopsy painful?
@@Moon52171 were you spotting and if so for how long? Thanks for responding.
Thanks

Much better now?

Informative Useful great explanation
Thank you for this information. Now I'm taking pills - from provera, duphaston now drosperinone. I'm okay so far. Hopefully it works 🤞🙂

Hi Dr. My endometrial lining is 14mm & I'm post menopause. My dr wants to scrape my whole lining out to test it & check for polyps. A hysteroscopy curate & dnc?
Should I say no?
Do you have or had bleeding. Always do what the doctor suggest.
I am post menopausal ,hadn't had a period in 2.5 years and on 09/08/24 started having vaginal bleeding with lower abdominal pain. They treated for uti but got was telliing me to go in for further testing. 2 urgent clinics,ER and gyn clinic. Did endometrial biopsy on 09/16/24 so just waiting for results. My endometrial stripe was 7mm.
I have googled,TH-cam and listened. As a nurse that has worked in obgyn and having a Crnp that I worked with ,stated definitely get that biopsy. Everything I ready for post menopausal is treat vaginal abnormal as of it is cancer until they rule it out. Now I'm in the waiting for results phase.
