Hey Lauren!! As a fellow TH-camr, this was such an informational video! I highly recommend getting an external hard drive to edit on. You can click and drag your iMovie library onto the drive so that it doesn't slow down / crash your computer (and it also doesn't take up space on your computer which is GREAT!!). You just have to keep the hard drive plugged into your computer while you edit since your iMovie library would live on the drive instead of your computer. Hope this helps!! It's saved me a tonnnn of stress with editing AND is much cheaper than getting a new computer💖💖
So glad I saw this comment. Have been getting gifted on any special occasion this past year as well as getting myself all things for filming lighting editing my MacBook my camera tripods etc collecting all the things to prep for the start of this year when I told myself months ago that was going to start all of this by the end of Jan and an external hard drive was something I did get and I didn’t realize how much this saves on the computer itself, thank you for this ❤

This was a fun video, not boring at all! If anything, I think these type of videos are more relatable to a lot of people because most of us have desk jobs. I also decide my own hours and work from home a lot, but I like to keep 9-5 hours as well. It’s nice to see how other people go about that.

BUT my only feedback would be that i’d love to get some REAL tea on the job. most content creators answer the same few questions about it but id love to know like…what really goes on during brand trips, how much of a brand trip is paid for, what’s the pay range for sponsored posts / videos, PR lists, what’s the difference between “sponsored” and “partnering with”, is there a compensation difference between the two, how do creators end up with contacts that have them posting the same brand deal multiple times a month, is that where the BIG money is to be made? how much do you pay for good copyright free background music to use? the free stuff you find on youtube is usually awful but yours is very you 💘 how much do you pay your team? assistants, manager, etc. how on earth do you do your taxes, what qualifies as “write off’s” on your taxes, how much does it cost to have someone handle your taxes for you, is there any consistency to your monthly / yearly income or is it constantly fluctuating, which platform brings in the most money for you, ETC 😂 i could go on & im sure there’s a reason nobody really answers these questions with specifics but that’s the tea i’m always DYING to know

Editing long form videos for TH-cam is such a different task than researching and putting together pinterest boards versus setting up Instagram posts. I’m a retired teacher in my 60’s. I love your videos, because you are truly entertaining, bubbly, and truly a hardworking TH-camr. Not only that you are so fun to watch.
For a computer, I have the MacBook Pro 2021 with the M chip (1 or 2 I can’t remember), but it works great for me and still has space, plus it was $2000 instead of $4000 ! If you feel like you need a new one now, I’d say go with the 2021 MacBook Pro, but if you want the newer one (I’m sure it has better features), try to save for it 😊
