I’d love to see a what I spend in a month video! I’m really curiously about the monthly costs associated with living in NYC since I have the dream of moving there!
I would love to see a “what I spend in a month” that includes misc things like Rent cost, overall cost for categories, business expenses as a whole, etc!! I think that would be so interesting especially since we all live all over the world so our expenses are going to be extremely different!!💰🐈
I think this would be cool, but keeping a separate column for the business expenses. That way we can have a total for living costs, and add on business expenses at the end.
It is always intriguing for me to see how others spend and considering how high the cost of living is in New York, I think you are doing as well as you can. Great video Lauren!

Would you ever consider doing a monthly eval of your spending? Like an excel spreadsheet having this like, coffee, eating out, deliveries, amazon, business, entertainment/ actives, transportation, personal items (makeup, skincare, ect) that would give a better idea of what it would cost to live there.
I wouldn’t be opposed!! It does vary between person to person so it wouldn’t give that clear on how much it cost to live here. Depends on where in the city you live, your work, if you have roommates, how much you eat out, where you buy groceries from etc.
Lauren you’re one of the most genuine and bright souls out there and I really admire you! Keep shining so bright and I love your channel!💕

It's always worth it to take an Uber for safety! I know it can be hard to stomach the cost, but your well-being and the well-being of others is always worth it!

If you have an E-Nail near you that’s my favorite place for dip nails in the city and they have good prices, especially if you go for their “happy hour” times during the week. They also give you a punch card so you can get a free mani after paying for ten.
This goes to show that everything really does add up , happy you are having fun and enjoying yourself though!

I’d be interested to see this over say a month to normalize against the one-off events and such. Maybe like average each day of the week out (eg my avg Monday was X) and include some highlights? No idea if that would actually perform well or not on here though 😅

Lived in NYC, totally get it. You will find hacks as time goes on. I'm in my budgeting era. You don't have to make a video but they have cute budgeting tools. You can track it on your computer or simply write it down. 😺

I noticed several expense’s were business related so that probably shouldn’t necessarily “count”. Lol I follow a few other channels from major cities and they agree, everything from take-out, Uber, nails and drinks are much higher on average. I enjoyed the video very much. 💰 🐈

This makes me wonder, is there a university that offers a class about Accounting for Social Media. There are the weekly expenses, but looking at the video there are other categories of spending that could be explained in academic Accounting language

This week I surprisingly didn’t!! We had a lot of sponsored events that covered the Ubers, and had food and drinks there which helped. It always differs week to week and what’s on the schedule! We also eat dinners in most nights

First it could have been WAY worse, second a majority of money spent was actual business expenses that can be written off and recompensed through taxes. Overall, it is very realistic and reasonable on what you spent!

My dad says NYC is always safe at night because there are so many people out. But it would be better to Uber?
I’ve walked at night in NYC and been fine, but when alcohol is involved and the location is over an hour away by foot, it’s easier and safer to Uber 💖
