    If I was this guy's coach in high school, we would have ran two plays. The one where we throw it inside to him and let him score, and the one where he goes inside and we give him the ball and let him score.

  • @stevelau1933
    @stevelau1933 11 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I did see his last game, and yes he can legitimately dunk without jumping, but it looks like he needs to be directly under the rim and be on his toes a bit. He has a higher standing reach than 7ft 8 Paul Sturgess. That means it's literally impossible for anyone to block him without fouling if he gets it in very deep. He may be ranked 16 in his class solely based on his automatic contribution on defense, but he needs to learn the game a lot more to be successful in the NBA. Some things he might need a lot of work on are FT shooting, foot work, catching the ball,keeping it high, setting screens, defending mid-range shots, staying straight up when blocking, staying out of foul trouble, etc. It's his 3rd year of organized bball, and 1st year of college exp so it is reasonable for him to at least improve on the aspects of his game that can be fixed easily.

  • @chrisryan754
    @chrisryan754 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    1. Just because you're tall doesn't mean you'll die early, it's all about proportional body to organ composition and also a healthy lifestyle
    2. He's still in highschool and probably hasn't had a genuine coach work with him yet, so of-course his footwork is amateur
    3. We all know he could've won that tip, it's probably more painfully awkward to physically dominate someone you have a clear advantage of, so he chooses not to
    So chilllllll

    i wish he could dribble but the distance between his hand and the floor is far so if he bounces the ball once, it takes so long to go back to his hand that it gives the chance for a rival to take the ball, thats why he doesn't dribble and just holds it on the appropriate time.

    I can't help but to laugh every single time he effortlessly drops the ball into the basket or just sits under the rim then gets the ball and dunks standing

    I just noticed at 1:46 that he can elevate pretty well off 1 foot. Seeing that his head was maybe around 8ft 8 at the peak of his jump, he had to have jumped around 15 inches which was enough for him to reach the top of the white box on the backboard on the dunk.

    This man gets on his knees to dunk,
    he so tall, if he trys to do an ankle-breaker, he won't break your ankles, he'll break your neck.

    Perfect height for basketball (depending on your position) is 6'3"-6'6". Makes dunking more fun to do.

    I just checked out his latest picture, and it looks like he's in much better shape than in this video, finally starting to fill out his frame. It has only been 1 1/2 years since this video so I doubt he his skill level is up there yet, but if he gets there, he can develop quite a few moves that cannot be stopped, even at the NBA lvl. Lets hope on the next videos, we get to see alley oops and hook shots. He only needs a 33 inch vertical to get his head above the rim, or touch the top of backboard

    well, be that as it may, it seems a little unfair to him if he's just trying to have fun and hear people on youtube or the sidelines bring him down. He may never go to the NBA, it may not be in his interests. But in any even, mad respect for not backlashing as I have, really.

    He's much more mobile now about 1 1/2 years later. There's a clip of him in the drew league showing that he toned up and lost some baby fat, perhaps under 300lbs. He can also get his hand to the middle of the backboard now off raw vertical which is about an 18 inch vert for him, so he he should be able to become more athletic than Yao Ming by the time he's in the league. Hopefully his skills are improving too. I want to see another Shaq.
