Cass Scenic Railroad - Parade Of Steam 2023

Father's Day Weekend in Cass, West Virginia hosts a weekend celebration of Shay / Climax Steam Locomotives. A free event that takes place each year, the Cass Scenic Railroad fires and does many run bys of these steam locomotives. This year, 5 steam engines operated. This video showcases the hundreds/thousands of people in attendance for the event.
Shay #11 built in 1923 is a Class 90-3.
Shay #2 built in 1928 is a PC-13.
Climax #9 was built in 1919 as a Class 70-3.
Shay #4 was built in 1922 as a Class 70-3.
Shay #5 was built in 1905 as a Class 80-3.

Really awesome!
For me as a steam train fan, something unique that you don't see often.
Especially because of the drive concept with connecting rod crankshaft, which is not common in german steam trains, really very impressive.
Recieve the pretty old ladies it's an integral part of mobility history.
