While I'm not a critical on voice acting (I mean, luck of the draw!), some of these voices fall into one of five categories: The Quite Fitting Territory The Decent Territory The So Bad It's Good Territory The Unfortunate, Unfitting Territory And the God Awful Territory And by God, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei sound... Jarring. I'm sorry, but yeah.
Some of the English VA's for 9 aren't that bad. I feel that with a little more experience, they could become good. Others on the other hand, are just god-awful.

Wei Yan... he has gotten better in speaking. Unlike his other counterparts... Why is Lady Yue Ying's voice is... I rather loved her sweet voice but I don't hate this one.

Why does Ma Chao looks kinda weird and crazy for real, he's my favorite character ever 😂 (but poorly died when he was only 46 😭). That Zhang Bao and Guan Ping is so handsome btw, i can't imagine a war with this two handsome-dorks lol
The man who looks like Macho Man Randy Savage and sounds like the dinosaurs from The Transformers cartoon. I don't even know who that was supposed to be. Maybe i should have got more into dynasty warriors. These over the top simplified Saturday morning cartoon imaginings of ROTK characters are kind of hilarious.
Oof. I think Guan Yu really got the darker perspective of his death as well as Wei Yan's.................Ma Dai is going to kill him for disobeying orders. That's what historical notes say. Poor Wei Yan.
Despite there are some ups and downs with the games. The ambitious idea of going open-world I do respect. I like games that take something in a different direction. I applauded their idea of making a turn-based rpg game on the PS4. But there are things I do not agree like the fighting mechanics not being the classic combo design and it was simple just a one button mashing game which was a massive disappointment to me and I think, if the classic mechanics were left in, people would less likely have complained as badly. The plus side was all characters got their own story. Not a simple "kingdom" story. All characters had an ending and I think its a plus on a story-telling aspect. People I think got too bored of the same story told over and over again (though its kind of hard to tell a story that is suppose to be revolving around the Three Kingdom's history and the novel. You can only tell so much. But I love the idea they really went closer to the main core of both the history and famous novel. I believe the game topped the 8th game and previous. It topped the emotions more and more. Sure the Liu Bei's fury when hearing of his brother's deaths was left as a cutscene and other scenes were kind of downplayed but its not like they were not there plus they added more scenes that were not even addressed. I hope in the future they can make an improved open world game because I know it can be done. It just needs some more tweaking and added designs while retaining why we love the Musou games.
