If u r going to be a great QB, you're going to be a great QB. If ur mindset got bad because of the team around u, you would never been a great QB. Manning played on a bad Colts team his first couple of years, Aikman went 1-15, Beldsoe started for a team that was 2-14 the year before. This team is better than the ones I just listed. Maye would not be 'set back' by getting out there and getting experience.
People are nervous because of Jones, but Jones was good his first year and was ruined by a petty vindictive coach..

@@theblackflame4002 It’s a ridiculous argument! Honestly! The speed of the game, the complexity of the offenses vs college, and especially the complexity of the defenses and the ability of these DCs to confuse these young QBs in todays modern NFL is unlike anything used in college. Take a look at Sam Darnold now he looks like a stud! When he was a rookie he was seeing ghosts against Flores! A kid like CJ Stroud is the anomaly, and not the norm! Sitting behind ANY QB is the right move for the long term growth of these kids! Look at this past draft class. In 5 years, Drake Maye and JJ McCarthy will be the beat QBs out of this class. They’re getting the time to learn how to read and react to these schemes! Something they never had to do in college!

When Tom Curran asked Eliot Wolf if the Pats had the pieces in place to support a rookie QB, Wolf said he doesn’t even know what that means. I think that was Wolf’s way of saying he disagrees with that opinion. I don’t think Wolf literally didn’t know what Curran was talking about. Tom has been beating this drum since before the draft: pass on the potential franchise QB until you have the pieces in place, like a solid LT and a stud WR. I get what he’s saying, but if you turn down an opportunity to draft a high-end QB prospect, it could potentially be a long time before you get that opportunity again. Drafting Maye was the right move, and you don’t have to agree with Eliot Wolf 100 percent of the time, but he’s not an idiot, Tom.

I don’t know about this guys assessment of growing frustration in their locker room. I haven’t even listen to the video, because the Boston media toward the Patriots has always been negative. The reason Drake needs to play is because Jacoby isn’t doing anything to win us the game besides handing the ball off. Through all the games this season no qb has had perfect protection. A lot having time is on the qb to read blitzes, anticipation, and movement in the pocket. Jacoby threw to the RBs, the TEs mostly, and to the receivers maybe 5 times tops this past Sunday. That’s not going to get it done. Our receivers are just running routes for health reason. I’m telling you if don’t throw down field Thursday night. He needs to be benched

@@marquisehicks2677 all the routes are not long developing routes so kill that nonsense. And to say the line isn’t holding up is supposed to mean what exactly? I haven’t seen a bunch of free rushers coming at him. Also it’s on the qb to slide up, move left, move right, and back away from pressure. By the way Jacoby is still going out there, so he isn’t injured. The fucking defenses are going to start stacking the LOS to stop our running game that appears to be very strong. They’re also blitzing us. How do you adjust? You run screens, quick hitting routes, and attack them over the middle and deep. This mfer is playing not to lose the game while not trying to help us win. He’s giving us nothing. That to me is enough to sit his ass down. This narrative of you don’t want to get Drake injured is stupid. So play Jacoby, well if the line is that bad then Jacoby should be injured right not and Drake would be playing anyway. If they were truly about having Drake sit the entire year then they should’ve signed a vet like Flacco who also knows the system or kept Mac or Zappe. Preferably Zappe

Curran is a dolt. It’s not up to you, Dude, it’s up to the fans. They will be screaming very shortly, especially if Jacoby Brissett turns in another mediocre performance. The Jets are going to close down on the Patriots offense because there’s no threat of Jacoby throwing more than 11 1/2 yards. The Seahawks shut down the Patriots offense in the second half by playing more man coverage. We saw this last year. The Eagles played mostly zone, & the Patriots receivers found the gaps. It didn't take long for defenses to realize the Patriots receivers were slow & not nimble enough to run crisp patterns. They have some new receivers, but they're still slow.
