    I was heavily leaning towards University of Auckland for medicine but I got admitted to an Irish school instead.

    It's so weird seeing people wanting to leave their home country to come to New Zealand. I will be at UoA next year and plan on doing postgrad internationaly, so it's the same feeling just reversed.

      Does the university really not require an MCAT, especially for international students?

    Hi Anna, fellow Canadian student/ aspiring doctor here- I am wondering if you just did the CARs section of the MCAT? or if you took the whole exam? Are you able to just take the CARs section and ignore the rest? I am a psychology student in the faculty of science at my university, so I have a good background in biology but have not taken any chemistry or physics past high school, and really don't plan on it.Your story is so inspiring for me, so glad I found your channel!!

    Great video, I like your explanations it is very helpful! May I ask why you decided not to continue nursing and be a doctor? I'm a college student who's debating between med school and nursing, thanks!🥰

    Hi Anna,
    I am a registered nurse from Australia. I am also interested studying medicine in NZ. I did not do too well in nursing school my gpa 4.85. I than did a graduate diploma of diagnostics genetics and then just completed my masters in diagnostics genetics but still my gpa is not competitive. Can you please give me some advise ?
    Thanks heaps

      Anna,
      Also I have checked it’s really expensive to study if you don’t get scholarship. Do you know if it will be any cheaper for Australian citizens?

    Hi what month can i start applying? I’m also an international student applying for the next school year 😊

    • @sugariiesw33t
      @sugariiesw33t  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Xiyeon Chang I believe you can apply all year round! They usually interview you a month after you apply if you meet their GPA requirements. Just keep in mind school term starts late February/early March so if you don’t apply before then you’ll just be considered for the following academic year I assume :)

      @@sugariiesw33t omg awesome, i just received a conditional offer! was there a deposit you had to make once you accepted the offer btw?

      @sugariiesw33t  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arcticmonkeys30 Wow big congratulations to you, that's so exciting! I don't think I had to make a deposit, but you do have to make sure you pay at least your first-semester tuition fees a little before the semester starts to ensure you get your student visa processed in time before the school year starts (if you're an international student!)

    • @sugariiesw33t

      Hi Kelly, yes they do! They accept international students from all over the world and there are some US students in my cohort!
