- Crisis on Infinite Earths is an American comic book published by DC Comics. The series, written by Marv Wolfman and pencilled by George Pérez, was first serialized as a 12-issue limited series from April 1985 to March 1986. As the main piece of a crossover event, some plot elements were featured in tie-in issues of other publications. Since its initial publication, the series has been reprinted in various formats and editions.

Literally just started reading Crisis on Infinite Earths today for the CW event this Sunday and you dropped this video.
Might be a small part of the reason why he dropped this thesis of a video lol.
Don't have high expectations for the TV shows. The book was long, a little confusing, but over-all amazing.
Motown Stickman same, batwoman has been a disappointment for me. I want crisis to be great, but it probably won’t.

The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece. It was more widely accepted around the 3rd century (300 BC-201 BC) The idea that the Earth floated in space was concocted circa 500 BC. Note: time was “labeled” differently back then. for example, year 3000, year 420, year 69, year 0, year 1, year 2… and so on.
Job 26:7: “. . .He [God] hangs the earth on nothing” The book of Job was supposedly written at 2100 BC.
Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC
Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC.
This one doesn’t pertain to cosmology, but it refers to divine revelation nonetheless. So you know how the Euphrates River is drying up? Well, guess what? People in the Bible are saying: “Been there, done that.” Read on to learn more.
Isaiah 11:15 “The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.”
Revelation 16:12 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”
How did they know about this? You tell me, my fellow Zoomerz.

Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection:
1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (even the disciples thought Jesus would never make the ultimate comeback)
2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs
3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (The disciples deserted Him, remember? They didn’t have any help. Everyone said, “Crucify Him!” major L to those opposed to Jesus)
4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone (they would have to break that off; there were well-trained Roman guards there as well).
5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus).
6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback. They were called to not be liars. I mean, they hung out with the Son of God/God in the flesh. Come on, now).

There are only two things I regret are not mentioned in this video:
Batman’s massive trash talk to Supes, “And let's face it "Superman", the last time when you really inspired anyone was when you were dead.”
And the showdown between the male Bat-family and Deathstroke. It shows just how powerful Deathatroke can really be. Batman constantly gets labeled as able to beat Deathstroke, but of their many clashes this is the only time Bats really wins the day. It takes Batman, Nightwing, and the Redhood to do it on top of that. It also showed a major turn from the more anti-hero aspects Deathstroke had taken on.
Anyways, awesome video, as always. Clearing up my backlog and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had doing so!

My favorite part about this whole thing is how hyped you got about the Superboy prime fight. The story is great but your reaction to it is "uhh-MA-zing!"
Conner Kent had his own 102 issue long solo title, was a mainstay in Young Justice & Teen Titans, and an occasional supporting character in Superman's books. His death wasn't because DC didn't know what to do with him. He was chosen for 3 reasons. 1) To replace Nightwing as the major death in the story. 2) To mirror Supergirl dying in Crisis. 3) Real world legal concerns led DC to stop using the Superboy name for a time. Superboy Prime was even artificially aged up and renamed Superman Prime. After the legal issues were settled, Conner returned in a story that also saw Superman Prime de-aged back to Superboy Prime.
The only thing I never understood was what was DiDio's hard on for killing Dick. Anytime anything happened or a new event was pitched, it always seemed like his first thought was "And how does Dick die? How do we kill him in the most traumatic way possible?"

more evidence for the Bible concerning cosmology and divine revelation in job 26:7, proverbs 8:27, Isaiah 40:22 (read on)
The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece. It was more widely accepted around the 3rd century (300 BC-201 BC) The idea that the Earth floated in space was concocted circa 500 BC. Note: time was “labeled” differently back then. for example, year 3000, year 420, year 69, year 0, year 1, year 2… and so on.
Job 26:7: “. . .He [God] hangs the earth on nothing” The book of Job was supposedly written at 2100 BC.
Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC
Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC.
This one doesn’t pertain to cosmology, but it refers to divine revelation nonetheless. So you know how the Euphrates River is drying up? Well, guess what? People in the Bible are saying: “Been there, done that.” Read on to learn more.
Isaiah 11:15 “The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.”
Revelation 16:12 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”
How did they know about this? You tell me, my fellow Zoomerz.
Now for evidence outside the Bible
The Holy Spirit exists. I was suicidal for 9-ish months, but then I read John 3:16, and poof- the big sad went away in one night.

Phlegon (80-140 AD), who said Jesus had the ability to predict the future, and confirmed that Jesus was crucified during Caesar’s reign, confirmed Jesus rose from the dead, and confirmed He showed His wounds to confirm He was crucified;
Celcus (175 AD), who said Jesus was born of a virgin, said His father is a carpenter, and confirmed Jesus had miraculous powers;

Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection:
1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (even the disciples thought Jesus would never make the ultimate comeback)
2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs
3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (The disciples deserted Him, remember? They didn’t have any help. Everyone said, “Crucify Him!” major L to those opposed to Jesus)
4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone (they would have to break that off; there were well-trained Roman guards there as well).
5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus).
6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback. They were called to not be liars. I mean, they hung out with the Son of God/God in the flesh. Come on, now).
faith, science, and reason, people (as we all know them today, and as it was before all those things were tarnished)

I think a point left out was that Eclipso at the time of Infinite Crisis was possessing Jean Loring, the "big bad" from Identity Crisis. So it was Jean Loring/Eclipso that seduced the Spectre into getting rid of magic.

I personally never understood the "oh these heroes have saved a countless number of lives in dozens of situations, but I just saw one of the most well known heroes kill some guy, I dont know him or the situation, but now I don't trust them anymore...." story line.

I never understood that they would ever be considered "heroes". Everything bad that happens in comic books always ties back to something that one of the supers had done.
Grant Morrison’s 7 soldiers is really a lead into Final Crisis. The “war in heaven” happened during the Mr. Miracle issues. You said in the video you where unsure of Shilo Norman. He was introduced during Kirby’s run on Mr. Miracle, but the 7 soldiers focuses on Him. I still think 7 soldiers of victory is highly underrated.

(about Superboy Prime): I never knew I could feel so bad for someone who was actively engaged in tearing the limbs off of other people.
I know this videos like two years old but I think adding the Infinite Crisis Secret Files adds a LOT to the story from the perspectives of Earth 2 Superman, Superboy Prime, and Alexander Luthor.
Jaime is pronounced "HY-meh" because it's Spanish, so it feels weird to hear it pronounced Jaymee.
It's not uncommon for the English pronunciation to become a nickname for Spanish names (Jimmy for Jaime, Charlie for Carlos, Jonny for Juan, etc.) for what I assume is for the irony. So I guess you're not pronouncing it wrong, but its not necessarily right. Feel free to pronounce it in the regular English way, but it feels weird when I hear it that way because there isn't the intentional irony in this video. So my vote is for the Spanish pronunciation for any future videos

Superboy Prime’s weakness isn’t so much a red sun, but more specifically the red sun that destroyed his Krypton.
Essentially:
Kryptonite is Superman’s weakness.
Superboy Prime’s Krypton was absorbed by its sun, and therefore filled with Kryptonite.
This means the two Supermans were weakened from the red sun, but Superboy Prime was weakened by the kryptonite that was in the sun.
You have no clue about how things work with Superman. In the Silver Age, a red sun removes all of Superman's powers. That includes invulnerability. He becomes just a dude like you or me. Flying through a red sun should have totally destroyed Superboy, but Johns has no clue. Infinite Crisis is absolute garbage.

Okay, real talk here. Can I just say how weird it is that Psycho Pirate's costume has never changed? I mean, he's not a mainstay in anyone's rouges gallery, but he's used every time they need an empath capable of completely changing a person's character around. So you would expect an update past the art style changes, but nope!

Listening to this video, it makes me feel old. I was in college, when infinite crisis was the main story. Every Wednesday, my friends and I would go to our local comic book store and get comics. Great days!

This is why these stories are my favorite comics event of all time. Most epic.
I don't know if this is a "hot take" but I like all three main Crisis events. All three, imo, are the best event comics ever.
It's 5pm, I'm in my welding booth and it looks like I just figured out my evening.
This is such a massive effort! Kudos to you! There are inaccuracies though--for example, Ted Kord didn't delete the files in the Checkmate /Brother I database. In Countdown Max thinks it is Beetle who says he didn't. In Infinite Crisis, we learn that it was Alexander Luthor who was responsible for that.
Also WW was the only Leaguer who took Beetle's claims seriously. She seeks him out to follow up when he doesn't contact her as they had agreed. You can see these yarns explored in THE OMAC PROJECT.
Another item that was obscured was Max Lord's powers. His psionic powers at base were to push/control minds to do his bidding. In COUNTDOWN we learn that he has grown more powerful in the intervening years after Justice League International. His psionic powers also now include illusion casting and the ability to induce hallucinations. However it was not a straightforward use of one psionic power that he deployed to control Superman. Instead we learn during SUPERMAN SACRIFICE and WW#219 that Max had over a period of years attained total subjugation of Superman's mind through a combination of behavioral conditioning, illusion, and his standard psionic power to push minds. Your analysis also adds paths to the dilemma that were not there. In WW's lasso, Max revealed that the only way to free Supes of Max's control was to kill him. This aligns with what Martian Manhunter learned when he entered Superman's mind during one of the chapters of SUPERMAN SACRIFICE and what we see demonstrated of the control in WW219. The psionic component of the control was sustained even though Superman and WW were fighting light years from earth near the sun itself. All of the options you list were addressed in the story. The only reason WW was immune to Max's powers was because she understands with a God's wisdom and sees through the actual eyes of a God having had her eyes at that point being bound to those of Athena herself making her immune to both components of Max's psionic powers

Ayo, I don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events. *IF* anyone is interested, read on.
*NOTE:* I can’t prove God to you. It all comes down to your choice to put your trust in Jesus Christ. That’s all faith is-TRUST. Unfortunately in these recent years, science and “religion” (as we know them today) have bastardized each other and themselves.
Point is, faith is trusting in Jesus. It’s not a blind jump into what people deem “irrational.” Billy Graham said something reminiscent of that.

james 4:8 “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

The idea that the earth was round can be dated back to 600 BC in Greece. It was more widely accepted around the 3rd century (300 BC-201 BC) The idea that the Earth floated in space was concocted circa 500 BC. Note: time was “labeled” differently back then. for example, year 3000, year 420, year 69, year 0, year 1, year 2… and so on.
Job 26:7: “. . .He [God] hangs the earth on nothing” The book of Job was supposedly written at 2100 BC.
Proverbs 8:27: “. . .when He drew a circle on the face of the deep. . .” Proverbs was possibly written between 970 and 686 BC
Isaiah 40:22: “it is He who sits above the circles of the earth. . .” Isaiah was written between 739 and 680 BC.
This one doesn’t pertain to cosmology, but it refers to divine revelation nonetheless. So you know how the Euphrates River is drying up? Well, guess what? People in the Bible are saying: “Been there, done that.” Read on to learn more.
Isaiah 11:15 “The Lord will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals.”
Revelation 16:12 “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”
How did they know about this? You tell me, my fellow Zoomerz.
Now for evidence outside the Bible
The Holy Spirit exists. I was suicidal for 9-ish months, but then I read John 3:16, and poof- the big sad went away in one night.

Phlegon (80-140 AD), who said Jesus had the ability to predict the future, and confirmed that Jesus was crucified during Caesar’s reign, confirmed Jesus rose from the dead, and confirmed He showed His wounds to confirm He was crucified;
Celcus (175 AD), who said Jesus was born of a virgin, said His father is a carpenter, and confirmed Jesus had miraculous powers;

Here’s the physical evidence of Jesus and His Resurrection:
1) No persecution would have started if He hadn’t come back (even the disciples thought Jesus would never make the ultimate comeback)
2) The Roman soldiers would have paid with their lives if they failed at their jobs
3) there was a 2-4 ton rock that 11-12 guys would have to move (The disciples deserted Him, remember? They didn’t have any help. Everyone said, “Crucify Him!” major L to those opposed to Jesus)
4) there was a Roman seal which was a metal pin that sealed the tomb stone (they would have to break that off; there were well-trained Roman guards there as well).
5) Stealing the Jesus’s body isn’t something the disciples would do (besides Judas. Although he hung himself after feeling remorse for betraying Jesus).
6) the disciples wouldn’t die for what they knew would be a lie. (The lie being Jesus never made the ultimate comeback. They were called to not be liars. I mean, they hung out with the Son of God/God in the flesh. Come on, now).
faith, science, and reason, people (as we all know them today, and as it was before all those things were tarnished)
Brothers, what have we done. look at us. look at what we've become. This isn't right. we're wasting time going on about girls and sus drawings that don't give a f*ck about us. What is the point of lust? Why do we do this? This doesn't fix our problems, doesn't make the stress and pain go away.

hell was never meant for us, my fellow youtube user. it was for the devil and his squad, and God gave us the Way out of there since we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
God knew and knows we are wack, but He decides He’ll come down and help us, despite our unfaithfulness. most relationships (like friendships, romantic relationships) aren't like this. Very few, but not a whole lot.

Describing Dan Turpin should be quite easy.
I think most people who watches comic book videos would've seen Superman The Animated Series. Dan Turpin is the guy who stood upto Darkseid when he invaded Earth using a brainwashed Superman. He was killed by Darkseids omega beams and was the main motivator for Superman to go back to Apokalips and beat up Darkseid.
He was pretty cool and his death was one of the major shock moments in the series.

I don't understand what happened with the whole Barry thing. Marv Wolfman said that he created a loophole where someone could take Barry out of his death run to do whatever, knowing that one day he'll have to return to his death. Did anyone use that? Or did they just retcon that and do the speed force thing? Obviously he vanished, but did anyone write a story where Barry was taken out of the death run?
