Is Mozarts K.331 (1st movement) and intermediate piece? If so, that would be great. I can play the notes but I don't feel that its flowing as it should. 😣
@@ccfliege Mozart is deceptively difficult! The notes seem so easy…and it is so hard to make it sound artistic. I should do some more Mozart soon. Thanks for the suggestion. 😊
This was great! Thanks, Janna! I loved your story examples! Burgmuller's L'Orage (The Storm) has also been very popular in my studio and I'd love to hear your ideas on teaching it too.
Hi Sara - I have a video on The Storm within the TopMusicPro academy, so I won't have one here on that piece. You can find out more about TMP membership here - members.topmusic.co/JannaWilliamson/membership
Fun Story: Years ago, I had a student who came back with a wildly-imaginative storyline about this piece. She said, "BALLADE" was an acronym for "Big Animal Likes Living At Dude's Estate", and the A section was this monster who tormented the homeowner at night (major Scarbo vibes here, ha!), and the B section was a moment where they made friends with one another and were dancing together. I can't teach it anymore without thinking about Big Animal Likes Living At Dude's Estate. :)
Великолепный урок, просвещенный этой балладе . Гениальный показ эмоциональной подкладки к каждой фразе и к каждому пассажу. Жаль, у меня не было такого преподавателя . ❤❤❤❤
I just looked up the Reverie, and found some teaching tips for this piece! Crystal, you might find this helpful: www.dennisalexander.com/aa_teaching-tips.php?daTXT=e726042d3634f764ef

Do you have other pieces in the intermediate repertoire that you'd like me to cover in a future video? Leave a comment here!

😂
My colleague that I mentioned very flamboyantly sang the "NOT THESE!" part for the shoe store story. So that is always in my head!
thank you for sharing your expertise :)
you're welcome!

Hello! Can you please make a video on Openness also one of Burgmüller pieces
Can you clarify opus and number? I think your title translation might be different than mine.
Should the broken chord in Bar 26 be played with the left hand?
Yes if you take the previous two bars with the RH. I think you could also redistribute m.24 RH, m.25 LH, m.26 RH
thx for the video, I enjoy watching your videos. Reverie in F minor by Dennis Alexander for the future video if it's appropriate. Thank you.
I don’t know that piece, but I love Dennis Alexander! I’ll look it up.
Or Chopin s waltz in A minor, B150.
The opening passage has been repeated many times. I m interested to know how to interpret them. Thx.
