    This was great. It brought back so many happy memories from our trip. We were in 4321 so not far away. Embarkation looked smooth. It is overwhelming at first, but it's amazing how quickly you get your head around it. Great video 🍻

    Nicely presented. Pleased that your boarding day went so well. Iona has to be one of our favourite P and O ships (along with Aurora). Looking forward to your remaining vlogs.

    We were on the same cruise ! We had an inside cabin on deck 9, couldn’t fault it. We had an excellent time..loved it. So overwhelmed at first as the ship is enormous and it was our first cruise too. We ate far too much food though 😂
    trip to the glacier at Olden was spectacular! Hopefully I’ll spot myself on other videos!

    • @littleniks

      Awh hey fellow cruiser 🤭👋🏻 thank you for watching! Yesss same, we couldn’t fault it, I’ll happily book an inside again!
      Haha I don’t think I was prepared to feel so overwhelmed on the first day, I was like this thing is huge. But, I think that was all part of the fun, finding things & exploring.
      Oh goodness don’t talk, we ended up doing nightly trips to the buffet just to see what new desserts appeared 😅🙃
      Olden was our favourite spot too, gosh I’d go back tomorrow if I could!
      Haha yes you never know you might appear, keep a wee eye out 🤭

    We have been on Iona twice, Britannia twice, Ventura once (second one on this ship will be next Feb). We, personally, have enjoyed everything we have eaten on these ships. Hooked on cruising, especially leaving from Southampton as none of the airport hassle. We also stay in Southampton the night before departure, it extends the holiday and you don't have to get up so early 😅.

    • @littleniks
      @littleniks  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow you guys have experienced a lot of them ☺️ any you think our worth checking out? Haha it’s so easy to get the cruise bug after your first cruise!
      True also easier to stay over the night before, we just tried to keep costs down on this trip but I’d defo stay over the night before to save those early morning haha 🤭
      Also thank you for watching 🥰

    So lovely to see a first time cruisers experience. I have had 15 cruises, 10 of which have been with P&O as they are always best value for a solo cruiser. My next P&O cruise is on Arcadia for a 10 day Xmas cruise to Copenhagen/Oslo/Amsterdam and Bruges. Can't wait to see Xmas markets. Also going on Queen Anne with my grandson in 6 weeks to Lisbon/Vigo and Gijon. I wonder if you will become hooked on cruising now as I did. I will certainly be following your adventures now as you put together a lovely video. 😊

      Hello ☺️ thank you so much for watching. It’s so appreciated 🥰.
      Oh my goodness you are an experienced cruiser, your next adventure sounds wonderful, you’ll have to let me know what it’s like especially with the Christmas markets, that will be fantastic.
      Haha yes, it’s very easy to catch the cruising bug after your first one. Any you recommend?
      Have a great day ☺️

      @@littleniks All cruises are fantastic as it is wonderful to get a taste of so many countries yet only have to unpack once. My first 4 cruises were with Marella, which must be the happiest and friendliest of cruises. Unfortunately as I no longer want to fly and their cruises normally start from Majorca, Corfu etc. I no longer go with them. The Adriatic is fantastic where you can visit Croatia (Split and Dubrovnic) also Venice etc. From Turkey I also visited Athens, Crete, Ephesus, Istanbul etc. Also did a Baltic trip with them from Newcastle (they no longer do this) where I visited St Petersburg (fantastic), Tallin in Estonia, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Finland etc. Happy cruising everyone 😊😊😊

      It sounds like you’ve visited some amazing places, I’ll defo have a look into some of those you mentioned ☺️, thanks again for all the tips 🥰

    Leave your TV on when you go to sleep it acts as a real time window so you know what the weather is like when you wake up.

      Ha yep - easy to fall in love with (Jules is Norwegian so we kinda had the link already but still….Oxfordshire Cotswolds > Fjords is a huge difference … just today had a Mother Moose and her x2 calves in the garden…such a sight!
      Loads of tips/places to share with you guys too!

      @PeterJulieVinje-Banfield oh my goodness no way, so you moved over to Norway from Oxfordshire 🤭 I mean I literally came home & was looking up when I could next go back!
      Also that’s sounds incredible, the nature & scenery was just something else!
      Thats amazing, defo will be thankful of any tips/places. We would love to come back & go further North & I think it’s only right we visit Oslo 🤭

      @@littleniks Yup that’s right….good ol’ Tinder strikes again!
      If you’re thinking North then you can’t get much better than Lofoten … I’ve been around the world and that one really did blow me away…you have some of the best seafood going up there and the midnight sun (if you time it right) … it’s also where our name ‘Vinje’ comes from! ;p
      My suggestion is to book as much as you can while the £GBP is so strong!

    I did the cruise to Norway in may this year on Britannia, the food was very much hit and miss,,very small portions and the food in the buffet was very poor,,this ship look’s slightly better,,,

      @littleniks  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey 👋🏻 thank you for watching! Awh I’m sorry to hear it was hit or miss. We found the main dining rooms to be more hit or miss, but honestly we ended up preferring the buffet (which we definitely did not think would happen) we show more of the food in the upcoming videos 🤭

      Awh that’s a shame you missed a port, I hope you guys still managed to have a fab time. I think once you go on one, it’s hard not to have the cruising bug 🤭
