      I feel sorry for him...
      It's his job, he needs to keep it secret as good as possible... That's stressful...
      Imagine needing to buy something to eat and drink and doing some "type 1 or 2 discharge" too after a few hours..., coming back to the car and some interested people are at the car and at the charger...

      If BMW really wants to keep secrets they can file to use the @BatteryLife patented charger cover. A stage lighting shade on a tripod that Chris uses to film Charging screens in daylight without glare. 😎

      @@BatteryLife great that you had the presence of mind to check the total and time for charging. That was a monster result 135kw per hour.

    I've been very eagerly waiting for this video! I find it interesting that you seemed to drive such short legs, at least as far as I've watched so far. Does it make sense to unplug when the car is still pulling 100kW if you could maybe skip a charging stop by charging to 70-80% and driving longer legs?

      Charging is always faster the lower the SOC, as long as you do not drive slower.

      The charge was to 75 % at 10:10 so these limits surely are optimized to reach the next destination in the lowest combined charge/drive time possible.

    MB is bringing out some great EVs, even these converted ICE cars perform really well.
    One point of criticism, kW is charging power,not charging speed. Charging speed is the product of kW and consumption to give charging speed in km/h. Allthough i see in your stats on the screen you do say charging power in kW 👌

    If you charged 270 kWh at Ionity ... at regular prices that makes 210€ ... even with the 1 year discount (which I think was the rate used in this case) the price per 100km it is much higher than that of a combustion car that will made the same route in less time and at a lower speed.
    In the end, if someone travels the same distance at 120 km / h, it will lead to far fewer charging stops, less consumption, less money spent and possibly even less total time.

    I thing you might as well just drive at 130 max :) or maybe even 120 and you might still make it in the same time with less charging?

      Maybe 150, but not too slow. It charges so fast, that fast speeds are faster.

      ...and I had 80km of construction with 80 or 60 km/h
      And many kms of 130 and 120 km/h speed limit.

      ...I don't let it go, eh? ;) Björn has also the amazing advantage of having a hpc every 10km. Here they are 140km aparts, means charging more and out of the perfect charging window.

    Sorry, but I found that to be a messy, confusing presentation. I also have a problem with people who fill their windscreens with vision obscuring devices. The Police would have stopped you in the UK back in the 70's 80's because of it.
