I want to know if I can put cement board onto my fence as a flood barrier? Thanks for your great video!
Love the work brother 💪🏼
Appreciate it!!
Hi, you dont use waterproof membrane for exterior wall??
Tidy work lads direct apply is the way to go ,no more lath rotting after 4,5 years👍
Great job my guys 👍
Big up
Good job installing the cement board but you should have used a moisture barrier. Although, maybe the deck flashing will divert the water away from the lower wall. Great caulking/sealant will have to be used at all terminations. Good video though.
This method would not working in the Pacific Northwest! A moisture barrier with a min of 1/2" air space between the cement board would be best.
Howzit?! ❤❤❤ thank you!!!
Great job 👏
Thank you appreciate your feedback!
wonderful job from the master bricklayer. can you show us how to do a 45 degrees cut on a brick, please
Thank you, sure I'm gonna put a video together for that, cut brick 45 degrees 👍

Mi waa paint the cement board just suh mi nuh si why mi need fi add more cement pon cement. Can it work suh wid regular cement board?
Good tip with cutting out for the squer
Glad it was helpful!
Need to apply a product like tyvek drainvent rainscreen. Any moisture behind cement board will drain. Perhaps plain tyvek with 0.25 inch strapping
Good job buddy
thank you
What is the name of the waterproofer for the joints?
Should there not be tyvek or some other house wrap installed prior to the cement board?
The cement board is not waterproof itself, just water resistant. Just curious.
Thanks
Definitely a water/weather proof wrap and also a rainscreen mat of some sort before adding a cement board or stucco. This will start rotting in the first condensation, never mind the rain that will ge the plywood soaked
Ha ha ha, duuude, Great vid entrance. Nice way to get watchers attention.
Hey, thanks
Cool 👍👍👍👍
👍👍
could you have used thinset behind the cement board for a much better bond?
This is like installing the hardie board in the shower. If you don’t use tinset in a shower, why use it here?
In The Bahamas We usually covered the Plywood with Felt or Ice and Water shield, before putting up the cement board aka DuRocks
That is exterior grade plywood, meant to be used like that and water resistant. Obviously if you want you could use a covering if you want but it won't make much difference.
@@DL101ca I understand that, but this the Caribbean, Salty air and heavy Rain wud Rot that in 10 years and under. You try at most to get 15-20 years before any heavy repairs...well unless a Tropical storm speed things up
Build better house u live in the Caribbean board and plastic has no business there
I usually troll on some mastic adhesive unto the wall before installing the cement board I'm always interested in others ideas or ways of doing things
Several people have asked what product youre using to myd the seams but i dont see a reply.
Hey I went to the start to get all your secrets. Were you working out of for city
lol 😅 thats good keep watching i have lots more secrets coming 😉 😅
Hello, I need help, how to unstall stone over concrete sideboard please?
i already uploaded videos for that
Hello men! Nice ... I hope you a good day's bro. Wahib Orhan. .
Thank you, appreciate your feedback!
@@1kbconstruction824 hi bro never mind. .so no problem I'm orhan wahib happy bro...
can you do vid for doing a gable
keeping on watching its coming soon !
can you do this without the mesh on the joints just mud?
I wouldn't recommend to do it with all the mesh
It would crack and defeat the purpose of trying to waterproof the joints.
I plan to do this for a crawl space area. Instead of veneer I'll just finish with stuccoing the entire area
Why am I watching at 4:30 am 😁 😁 😁
In yr opinion what is the best method to cut cement boards fast and quick pls??
I use a knife and snap it. If I have holes I use a chisel around the circle then clean it with knife. Most of it will have Styrofoam beads to aid in cutting.
I would say a angle grinder , are a circular saw with a good blade
So what about using a circular saw to cut them when u need to cut long pieces ???
Yea any circular saw will do to cut cement board, he used the small one because it’s was more convenient for that small electrical cut out.
I was using it before it wasn't working well for me, Or maybe I need a better blade in my circlar saw
Use a diamond dry blade ,it will work fine for concrete board. Usually these are a score and snap type of product. For more intricate cuts, a hand grinder and diamond blade will work just fine.
What size cement board was used? 1/2 or 1/4?
Did you not watch the video? Also, make sure to use galvanized screw.
@@jmservice3989 no I just decided to ask a question on a video I didn’t watch 🤦🏻 idiot
7/16 3x5’
@@williamp8213 Says right on the board 7/16 x3ftx5ft...if you watched the video. You must have that Adddddddd...and anger problems. Good luck.
Where is your moisture barrier?
You a new pair of jeans lol
No space between boards, wrong ! Board may expand and may pop
It is not a correct way to do it. Plywood board required at least 2 moisture barriers prior to hanging the wonderboards. The after you tape the joints, 2 redguard coats required prior to installing to stone veneer.
Redguard not outside !!!
Actually you can use redguard and drylok outside. They use it mainly for showers but any wet enviromentvwill di
Isn't that the "this is MAGA country" guy?
daaaaaamn put a link to where to buy those windows
