- Cadillac Deville Sedan DTS 4.9L V8 Start Up & Test Drive Cadi De Ville 85,000 Miles Video Review www.1OwnerCarGu... This is a nice 1 Owner Cadillac Deville that only has 85,000 Original Miles on it. This car is clean and a nice runner. It has one of my favorite motors in these the 4.9L V8 which is a very reliable motor and you don't have to worry about it like you do a Northstar. This car floats down the road just like a Cadillac should. It fires right up and runs, drives, and shifts great. This car is not perfect but it is nice for someone who doesn't mind fixing a few things here and there. It is dark blue in color with a matching full vogue top. The paint and top are both in good condition. The body is straight on this car. This car has a lot of chrome on it and it just shines in the sun. The interior is very nice and the leather seats and carpet show hardly any wear. It is a Cadillac so it is fully loaded with power everything and all the options.

From Wikipedia:
In 1991, a 200 hp (150 kW) 4.9-liter V8 - the largest of this type - became the new standard powerplant. Also new was a grille of an inverted trapezoid design (almost upside-down from last years egg-crate keystone design), and revised bumper and body-side moldings. The new grille held the familiar shape of the Cadillac crest itself - a styling cue that continues on to this day. The grille was now attached to the forward edge of the hood, and lifted up along with the hood when raised (similar to Mercedes-Benz). The secondary hood release latch was at the bottom of the grille instead of its previous location above the passenger side headlight. In addition to the new engine and minor front-end restyling, several previously optional features became standard this year, including the anti-lock braking system, accent striping, automatic door locks, twilight sentinel headlamp control, electrochromic inside rear-view mirror, and electric rear window and side mirror defogger. New standard features included rear-seat air conditioning vents, central door unlocking from the driver's door and luggage compartment, sun visors with shaded slide-out extensions, rear window lock-out switch, brake / transmission interlock safety switch, and an oil life indicator through the fuel data center. Other new features included the available remote keyless entry system, and the optional illuminated mirrors now featured a slide switch that offered variable intensity lighting.

Now that is a Cadillac "The Only Way to Travel It's The Cadillac Style." I seen these cars new at Monterey California Butts Cadillac well over $40,000 if I recall especially these options enclosed. There was a waiting period to order these at that time. You bring me back in time with great memories. My Best, MJL
I hate those grilles. The stock DeVille had good lines and didn't need "improvements" in the form of ill-fitting accessories. That being said, I LOVE these cars. I owned one that was a totally clapped-out junkyard rescue, and it got me from Little Rock to Portland and back with only a quick patch job in Gallup. Tough as nails, eats steep hills for breakfast, and surprisingly good on fuel with the cruise control on. It was also without a doubt the most comfortable car I ever drove and I'd gladly buy one in mint condition if and when the chance presents itself.
+Cereal Marshmallows I own one of these here in the UK. My car also has the 4.9 V8, and is Silver. I have just replaced my white walls also because they were badly cracked. I have just replaced the front brake rotors and brake pads. Car drives great, but mine has the older non digital dash. my car was originally bought from Grant Petersons in Idaho back in 1992, In 1997 it was exported to the UK. it has 105000 miles on the clock and drives great. I have just given the car an oil and filter change, and I have spark plugs and an air filter on order. I only have the car as a hobby, as gas is too expensive in the UK$7.50 per gallon.
Mate. I totally agree with you. I’m lucky enough to own an extremely good condition one. Get looks wherever I go.
So me thing about the chrome grill and top piece of chrome connected to the hood looks off. Doesn't sit straight.
I agree with everything you said. I had a lot of seat time in these from new, my father worked for a limo service that had these stretched and as funeral coaches in addition to a sedan or two. I just helped my boss buy a pristine 1992 Coupe Deville w/ 45k on it, it is absolutely perfect in every way, period. Immediate cocky throttle response, these 4.9L cars did not feel like only 200 horsepower. The aftermarket grills look like crap. Comfortable big car ride, that feels surprisingly stable in the corners. A great driver's car in every way. I'm looking for a FWD 91-93 Fleetwood to add to my fleet of Caddys.
Bro that makes the car, it’s a fashion statement.
Edit: now I see what you mean, that grille isn’t meant for that car, usually it has a clean sleek look.
Long live the 4.9!! I am the second owner of a '93 Coupe DeVille with 46K and its an absolute dream to drive. Love the honest and in-depth nature of your videos...keep em comin'!
I like the 30 minute videos. It gives me something to do after work since mostly of the garbage on television annoys me.
Reminds me of the used 87 D my father picked up some time ago. Digital dash components sucked, but boy that car rode like a dream. Great example of power and comfort.
I should take a shot for every time he says "great shape" new drinking game!
Love the sound of those 4.9's. My 93 DeVille driver window made the same sound.
Gracias por tus videos sobre autos yo.aprendi mucho y es muy entretenido verlo y saver sobre .como..restaurar autos classicos. No pares desde concepcion. Chile
Ooooooohhhh!!! Caddy Deville!! I love this one! :)
this car is so sweet i need one!
One of Best Cars were ever made
Whatsup! I'm 15 and have been saving up for a caddie since I was 10! Can't wait! I like what you do and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from you. I live in Laguna Niguel and I very much wanto buy a caddie from you in the near future
Ever get your Caddy? I got one and it's pretty expensive to repair. Even doing it myself is pretty steep
Just got me one of those today. White with dark blue interior.
my fav filming location!
awesome car and great vid I will def be sharing and liking
nice car
yeah he says 2 grand. but your right ive read online the northstars arent the most reliable engines and are expensive to pick
I was looking at one and the 4.9l wasn't a Northstar.
I believe the 4.9 were not Northstars. My grandpa had one and I was looking to pick one up someday.
I've a proud owner of the the 1993 sedan DeVille 4.9lv8 my first car and it's like a dream on the street
I am surprised that no one else commented on that grill addition. It looks a bit off like someone popped it and pushed it down or something. Otherwise, I would own this car.
Always liked Caddies, but only have owned a couple.
I use to have 1990 sedan deville in white with navy blue leather int. 109,000 miles it was totaled on I 55
Hi what was the name of the grill do can you buy these and fit your self?
Man these Caddilacs of this vintage sure are beauties, are they affordable to buy even in mint condition?
Now between 800$-2000$
Sweet car. Back when Cadillac's still looked like Cadillac's. When's that 560SEL & SEC coming up ?
Just got a grille like that for my '92 DeVille, and want to do a vinyl roof. Its had those same wheels, not the usual sporty-spoke ones that a lot of the ones on TH-cam have. Any info you know about that? I like them but i can't find a set of the centercaps for a good price. Mine has 3 that snapped while taking them off, and everyone wants crazy prices for them ($80+ for one piece??? Always scuffed up too! No thanks!!!!) i want to keep using the wheels but they look so bad without the centercaps like the car is dead & not cared abiut. I want to go custom overall, the built is planned already. And i want to uae those wheels otherwise maybe swangaz idk Superfly & Bosozoku.
Love a Cimarron too. Seen a 1984 Cimarron hot hatch? Building one.....
beautiful car! is it still for sale?
Cool Car
what is the difference between Cadillac sedan Deville and Cadillac Deville? Are those the same cars but different name?
What happened to the digital dash?
hi nathan is this still for sale and how much please
It’s front wheel drive right?
Correct.
I have 92 model and I think the plastic fenders were a great idea. I live in Chicago and no signs of rust. Left side fender cracked. Not fixable would have to find new fender. Interior is like brand new.
Just love looking at it.
Question when would a '92 be considered a classic and be able to do car shows
Always great videos. Any 80's big GM Diesel cars?
Excellent video, and I appreciate your thoughts on that older Cadillac Deville. Lots of minor wear items from normal use. But, otherwise, I agree, a nice Cadillac from Southern or sunny area of the U.S. My 1990 Cadillac Deville is not quite as nice since it spent all of its life in salted road Pennsylvania and has about 200,468 mi. on it.
Cereal Marshmallows hey man, I love your videos.. Just wonderin if u ship cars outside America?
Many moons ago, 3M used to make a product called Fill-n-Glaze. It was great for restoring dull paint. For some reason they won't/don't make it anymore. I guess that they want to sell you new paint instead?
I love you white coupe with 4.5 what i have to change to 4.1 to 4.5 in a motor swap
The grille is very unique, all thats missing is the gold pakage
Prefer the longer videos when you really get upclose on the cars and get in to options and such. I fear the day when you present the car I can't resist, won't tell you what it is because I probably have to buy it. A hint is "boat" and late 60's to early 70's ;)
this car has aged very nicely
Nice car man!
hey cerealmarshmallows, i have a random question. one of my mothers friend is selling a 2001 cadillac sts. would be a good car as a first car in your opinion?
its got 180,000 km , old person car who does regular oil changes and such. was told theirs a few rust areas starting. and has the 4.6L north star v8.
This awesome Bro :D
do u have any favorite videos cerealmarshmallow man?
Are those rolls Royce grills hard to install?... And where can I find one cheap?... Love your vids too by the way
+Cereal Marshmallows scratch here broke there, but still a beautiful car and rides better then todays cars
I think all Cadillac's are beautiful but that grill has got ta go lol
would u sale those wheels
Beautiful car but that add on grille makes the car look tacky especially since it's not even mounted correctly. I owned a 92 and she was smooth as silk. Had the original grille too so classy and not a bit cheesy.
J L was it a reliable car? How was the engine in those? Did yours hold up well?
I like your videos. I got some advice for you on the digital dash not working and flickering. There's a control box under the dash where the steering wheel is. If you open it up you'll see a black rectangular chip. From the back you'll need to remelt each solder pin to seal a connection and that's it. It will work as good as new and never flicker. Just some advice in case you run into some other late 80s early 90s Caddy's. Super easy fix and costs 0 if you have a solder gun. If not they're like 15 bucks at radio shack or hardware store.
Feel free to ask any questions about the Seville or Deville I have a 4.9L 1991 Seville I'm restoring so I've already encountered and fixed a lot of issues.
-Joe
Lol.. I won't complain if not.. I'd rather avoid getting in a row with a Viking warrior! ;) But, looking forward to them. That 560SEL seems to have a non factory centre console.
How fast is the 1994 sedan deville, 4.9 v8 engine
What do u mean ?
125says the booky runs 138
my anti lock light is on the door locks keep running once I slam the passenger door. how do u turn off or unplug the anti lock
it runs my battery dead fast wen I don't catch it in time
hey! i liked and subscribed! hahaha thought i might have a bigger chance of you answering me if i said that ha! well id like to know at approximately what number of miles does this car start functioning all funky or junky like? i am getting one in the red color with great condition but the millage is 227,237 and i am not sure, of coarse it s being sold at 1,500, is that a good price? and could you please tell me any good and bad things i should know about this vehicle?, thank you very much sir! :) i am grateful for you video and will be even more if you answer :) please reply have a nice day!!!!
for the broken stuff use SUPERGLUE ! And done :DD
thanks jaymum23, he asking 2 grand but ur right ive read those v8s arent the most reliable
The problem in the dash is due to the soldering of the multi plug in the back went cold, you don't need to replace the dash,if you do yourself it will cost you around $10.,parts are online for sale
That grill looks tacky I like the type that comes from the factory.
can anyone tell me where i can find a grill like that for my 92 coupe
I have one 406 546 8748
Ebay
My uncle have a 1989 fleetwood with the 4.5
You still need a "ding" sound effect for every time you point out a ding ;-)
this car is from montana look at the licence plate
shout out from great falls! gotta love this Montana snow hell lol
these cars are tanks I own a 92 coupe deville had her for 2 years now
Those grills are the shit! It’s called a Nos !💪🏽pimpin! Shit
I had a 90 Deville with one of those Ugly Grills. It certainly dropped the Cars Price both what I paid, and what I got for it when I traded it in. The one on this car, doesn't even fit the Hood Correctly. it is likely for a pre 91, which had a Different Hood shape, but it certainly kills the Value of the Car
so now I do my homework LOL
The front fenders are plastic on these cars. I know this because I had a new 93 and the dealership cracked them while they were servicing it. Below the side moulding is plastic as well. Its too bad as I have driven new Cadillacs almost exclusively and I always thought this style was so graceful but couldn't forgive G.M. for selling me a car that cost me almost 40,000. Bucks ! My 2017 XTS has more plastic on it than the 93 but somehow I expect it 25 years later.
Not true I own a 1993 sedan DeVille and it solid steel you probably have a after market bumper replace. I know for a fact hit my mom's m3 BMW I got a dent she has a broken car
I'd buy a cat from you man. I buy cars online. And you are very upfront about condition.
if way you do you do fine don t change.
if some one give a personal opnion fine to.are ones come and go they do a message.most imported if you do fine than don t change
toooooo longgg is t good to short.you want to show everything and takes time
you could take lots of products make paint look better.
ahhhhh they use to make cars in the days
That's not a DTS. DTS was the 300hp North* DeVille model from 2000-2011.
Wrong
Deville touring sedan came out in 91 originally I own one. The one he has is not a dts it’s a sedan deville. The 91 dts has no emblems on side or hood, different trunk lock more similar to the 94 and up Sedans, peanut butter interior, and body colored door different suspension package handles. They are rare cars
4.9 liter
A whole lot of Road Noise and Engine noise - lot more than I expected !
по уму тачка
I had one of those, worst gas mileage ever smh
I had a 90..... cool car good looks transmission horrible
I love this car but unfortunately the guy got mine from ripped me off bad
im wartching
That’s not a dts that’s a sedan deville big difference the 91 dts is a rare car the sedan deville is not
The interior was such a let down on this car. Small tiny Buttons crappy digital dashes.
Omg. The 4100 engines are horrible
+Jose Vasquez This is the 4.9 although yes the 4100 (aka 4.1) is a disaster. The 4.9 is also known as HT-4900 as it is an upgraded and "fixed" version of the 4100, and it will go the distance.
An ugly rolls royce style front grill.. it's not a stock Cadillac one
