I remember accidentally pulling off a lot of these glitches by complete accident as a kid, and replaying this game as an adult I somehow can't seem to pull them off anymore.
It's called getting rusty and it sucks, I could pull off a lot of these tricks too, not anymore
Even in 600% speed, the intended path to the Lonely Island still feels incredibly slow

27 seconds is faster than 34 seconds in the intended way.
Most of them do in this, like the inferno and ferris ones.

It always seems so strange & kind of unnerving that that ferris wheel has no collision. Especially to fly through it when it's going so fast.

I never did goopy inferno like that I always go in the water and jump to send water to clean the goop and then jump to the end of the level
Speedrunners: Now that's sum gud stuff-
These ate all well known speedrunning time saves and skips
Except for eely mouth dentist because its slower
Fun Fact: You only need to tear off the front two tentacles on Gooper Blooper. He can only directly attack you with those two
I beat him without tearing off any of them
I always did the ferris wheel the cheese way. Never did it the intended way. The cheese was so much easier in my opinion. Lol

I wonder ho many people knew the intended strat for Goopey Inferno, not even me that ive played that game to much as a kid
I used the spring to get rid of some goop and triple jumped to the spot with Fludd
You can skip 2 of the 3 boats on the way to the lonely island if you know what you're doing. Take Yoshi to the manhole directly behind Mario when he first spawns in the Plaza, and then spin jump out of it and flutter and you can reach the wooden platform out by where the third boat would pick you up. It cuts out most of the wait without any out of bounds shenanigans. And even then there's an easier way to clip out of bounds than lining up the spin jump with the roof of that building. If you go by the end of the fruit market nearest to the police station, and walk diagonally against the wall, you can clip right in without having to do anything but hold forward. It also puts you closer to the island so you spend less time out of bounds. People make such a big deal over the lily pad level and the way to get there but truly, if you experiment enough and are good enough at the game you can save yourself a lot of time and frustration on the way to the level and in the level itself.

As a kid my friend would come over to help me out with the hardest shines by doing some of these glitches and telling me how they basically work. Never asked myself how he knew all of that but hey.

Man, I seriously thought the Ferris wheel was intended to be able to finish the episode like that.
I found a way to get through the goop too! If you go to the water area near that area where the f.l.u.d.d pack is you can throw water on the goop making a path to it and then successfully get over it.

Another way to cheese the goopy inferno is, to swim under the short body of water that leads to a small island swim to the shore and quickly do a spin jump to sprinkle some water on the goopy inferno.
If you spin jump off of two specific ledges(which is... kinda hard, or at least was for me, but I could pull it off with some trial and error) you can complete Goopy Inferno kind of easily
I did NOT know about the underground section, so... that's how I did it at first.
The official guide allowed the ferris wheel "glitch." So its intended :P

there re more glitches but I think they got all of the ones that make that game easier not break the game. I already knew about almost every single one but still entertaining. good job Nintendo.

The game is in shock and awe that you were *NOT* supposed to be get up there...
There is a small hole in the map at that exact spot. That's why you hear the underground theme for a second. Only happens on some versions of the delfino plaza (like end of game vs middle of game)
I'm guessing the regular music didn't restart because he's on emulator. I have issues with the music sometimes.
Edit: you can tell he's on emulator because it's running at 60 frames per second.

@@gemstonegynoid7475 I meant Dolphin. Nintendo's emulator is different I'm sure. It also had bugs but they fixed a lot of them in a recent update.

If you go immediately to Pianta Village, is Yoshi unlocked or do you have to play Pinna Park first?
If I remember correctly, you have to first defeat Shadow Mario holding the Yoshi Egg to unlock Yoshi, any level that require Yoshi before that will not spawn the egg
8:02 I can guarantee you somebody accidentally stumbled upon this during their first playthrough and was totally confused about what happened
That one looks more complicated to be honest because you have to first find the invisible ledge, then use the y camera to look to the side and side step. I think the reason this was found is because of speedrunners.
