I really loved this video and your London video. Brought back good memories 😊
Sam, your videos are incredible but I really do love how you have an open mind about our British food. We are raising our cuppas and hobnobs (those are a type of British biscuits/cookies) to you from across the pond
Heinz beans on toast is a quick breakfast. Grate some strong cheddar cheese or similar to pimp it. Even better cook the beans in a smallish pan (that you have a lid for) and drop an egg in and 'poach' / steam it in the beans... Serve on toast.
Sam that looks like the best ever English breakfast! I knew this was gonna be a great video, and i’m gonna have to go back and rewatch your visit to London!
As a Brit, this fry-up gains my seal of approval, looks great! One thing I would say is that I think Sam (and a lot of other non-Brits) are a bit confused about the word "banger". Yes, we have the dish "bangers and mash" which is sausages and mashed potato but outside of this context nobody really calls sausages bangers in the UK. In the same way that the "toad" in "toad in the hole" is sausage, but that doesn't mean toad is a general term for sausage.
Sausages were called Bangers because the did have a tendency to split (bang) quite vigorously ... and then there was a bunch of stuff about pricking sausages to prevent that happening. and then the sausage manufacturers did stuff to make it highly unlikely with mass produced sausage cases. Sausages made with completely natural cases are still prone to volcanic popping (bangers)
@@nick260682 I shall reply as eloquently and with as much supporting evidence as you did: No they don't, you're wrong. I fart in your general direction.
Max is upset that his “that’s what she said” was banned, so he had to find an issue with something Sam says. But “let it do its thing” is something everyone understands
The beginning of the video 😂😂 I binged watched your old videos the other day and they are iconic! Btw I’ve started cooking with bacon due to these recipes 🥲
Brilliant job 10/10, Im english and obviously cooked 100s of english breakfasts, but ive never cooked any part of it in a frying pan or hot plate, except the egg, i bang every thing in the oven no messing no standarding over the cooker perfect every time.
What I really love about this channel is how entertaining it is beside the amazing food and cooking. Sam and Max the trademark duo and unscripted conversations makes it even more and more genuine. The 2 and half minutes of different British and Scottish accents in the beginning made me smash that like button even before the cooking starts. Keep it going 😄👏
They will do a great job, don’t they. Love it. I can pretty much guarantee however that the production goes into it is intense and I imagine that there is a pretty tight structure is not a loose script in place. Brilliant, brilliant production values and love the food. There was my absolute favourite TH-cam channels
Finally someone from over the pond that actually gets it, you got it spot on. Looks so good. A mug of tea is all you missed. For me the bacon was cooked too much but that is just personal preference.
Another Englishman approving of your Full English and very impressed you pulled out the HP Sauce. Three points ... 1) Bubble & Squeak ... it's not the norm for a Full English 2) A Full English tastes best in the following scenarios ... first, when camping .... second, at home ... third in a street cafe, fourth in a posh restaurant. 3) The only thing missing is a cup of tea Well done Sam
As an English man I can say with full authority - this is how you do a full English! First time in my damn life I've ever seen an American/Canadian nail it 😂
Hey Sam I'm from England, and scotch eggs are one of my favourite snacks. You'll find these in every supermarket around the UK and every market. Why not try a different style of Scotch Egg? Pork? Chorizo? ground beef? endless ideas there to play with. not yet seen a lot on TH-cam about these so why not give the people what they want to see?;)
Never seen a full English done so well outside England 👏🏻👏🏻 full marks. The only thing you for got to mention is that this is the BEST hangover cure on Earth
Ive been watching this channel for years. But you're at a new level now... you're in elite tier. As an Englishman I hold the Full English close to my heart (literally) however every time i see an American attempt it. They absolutely butcher it. However, your Jewish Canadian living in America self just absolutely bloody smashed it ol' son! Nice job! Spot on!
Fond memories of when this American lived in London (now in Australia) and discovering the Full Monty. Loves me some Black Pudding and Fried Bread. Well done Sam! Shout out to Max and Chance (with his dreamy eyes).
Just heard my dad the other day say that he needed a scoshe of something. Made me chuckle. I always thought that random words for measurements was a Sam thing, turns out, it's a Dad thing. Love the vids, and keep up the crazy measurement phrases.
As an American who spends a lot of time in England & Scotland, I can say that you pretty much nailed this 100%. Very well done, sir! I see some of your British followers commenting that the only thing missing is tea. Sadly, I'm not a tea person (silly American), but a tall glass of apple juice is *chef's kiss* perfect.
Brit here, good effort. Never ever seen a proper full English with bubble and squeak but maybe thats a London thing, most have hash browns. Main reason im here though is to tell you that those beans need dumping out of the little pan to smother the ingredients in tomato sauce goodness. Will elevate the bread 10 fold. Remembering the HP as well, this is why your channel is the best. 9/10 full english that.
So close to perfection! (Britt here) - Replace bubble and squeak with hash browns, make proper fried bread (using normal non fancy bread) and serve with orange juice, coffee and a hangover!
It’s a working mans breakfast, they used to eat it early in the morning before work with their mates and it allowed them to work all day without stopping for lunch apart from a small snack. Then get home say 7/8pm after a full days manual labour.
Great job lads. Black Pudding, food of champions! 🤤 If you like Black Pudding try mixing some in with the meat when you make Scotch Eggs. It's great with scallops too.
Thank you Sam, you did us brits proud, I said to my daughter “just look at that breakfast, what is it missing?” And just as she said Brown sauce you pulled out the HP. Well done. I just love it.
Where's the cabbage for the bubble and squeak, the reason bubble and squeak squeaks while frying is because of the moisture content of the cabbage. What you've made Sam is a mixed root vegetable rosti. Also, sausages are called bangers because back during World War 2 water was often put in sausages, this was fine until they were cooked when the water molecules would try to evaporate it would sound to those cooking them as if they were exploding Edit; didn't realise there was Brussels sprouts in the veg mix, but traditionally bubble and squeak is mashed potato and cabbage
As a Brit it’s funny to hear you mention the effort needed. It must be bred into us over time, I’d say most brits can smash out a full English for your average family of four in about 30mins on a Sunday morning, all while nursing a hangover 🇬🇧💪🏻😂
I've heard the "bang" of the bangers referred to as "pig's revenge" - All you need is a nice cuppa tea & you've put the full English Breakfast over the top! (Although the exploded pile of red turdy mush will make me chuckle next time I fry tomatoes)
I gotta say that looks about as authentic as you can get - just add a nice brew (mug of tea) - British Citizenship in the post! One of the greatest things about the full English is that everything goes well with everything else so you can pretty much marry any permutation of ingredients into a delicious bite making the possibilities endless.
Looks like you cooked up a great breakfast there, hope you enjoyed it and I am glad you made the effort to get the correct bacon, sausage and beans to make it authentic. Fun fact, you are correct that they are called banger's at times but the term dates back to WW2, because of food shortages the butcher would mix the meat with all sorts of things i.e breadcrumbs... they used to explode big time back then apparently. Like you said people do suggest poking holes in them these days and it does work, a couple of prods with a fork on either side of a sausage should stop them banging.
Blood sausage wise - Brits may like it, but the Polish adore it. Its called kaszanka (kah-shan-kah) and we have it at least every other week. We fry some thick bacon and them put it in for the crusty browning. Serve it with a cold beer and a brine pickle ;) Mmmmm. Great presentation of your craft. Thanks for making all of us inspired to cook! I certainly have!!
Love the show gents. As a South African, I do enjoy a full English from time to time. One addition to the fried tomatoes would be a splash of balsamic in the pan for caramelisation 🍅

Sam is a chef yes for restaurants in California you need if you live in California near the surrounding areas which I don't I would love to try it maybe you should try it
He runs a number of restaurants and was a chef
Well he’s an actual Chef dummie 👨🍳
Everything looks great. I'll have to find a store that sells the items. Love your shows. Thank you
My son and I went hiking on Offa's Dyke National Trail in Wales a few years back. One of the B & Bs we stayed at was run by a lovely Polish woman. When we came down for breakfast she was dressed in an apron and chef's hat and I knew then she meant business 👩🍳 Full English Breakfast with the addition of handmade Polish pastries and when you've hiked 20 miles the previous day it is welcome hearty sustenance! I really loved this video and your London video. Brought back good memories 😊
As an Englishman I loved that you made this.. when I’ve made bubble and squeak I tend to use left overs from a roast (roast potatoes) 👍🏻👍🏻
Sam, your videos are incredible but I really do love how you have an open mind about our British food. We are raising our cuppas and hobnobs (those are a type of British biscuits/cookies) to you from across the pond
I spend my days trailing the interweb for Americans doing bad full English breakfasts… you sir… you have beaten me! This is outstanding
As an Englishman with over 1000 years of heritage in England… I approve of this breakfast!!!
Accents- perfection! Breakfast- perfection! Well done guys! So good even a Scottish guy like me can appreciate The Full English Breakfast!!! 👍
Needs a tottie scone though :p
The accents were horrendous! 😂 Funny, but not good!
Your 10 things to eat in London was the first time I saw your videos. Been a fan ever since.
Brilliant !! Beans go on toast. Going to try a version of this tomorrow morning. Thanks guys
Exactly thank you 😂
@Ka Pow not a snag sanga?
Sausages were called Bangers because the did have a tendency to split (bang) quite vigorously ... and then there was a bunch of stuff about pricking sausages to prevent that happening. and then the sausage manufacturers did stuff to make it highly unlikely with mass produced sausage cases. Sausages made with completely natural cases are still prone to volcanic popping (bangers)
Loss of people call them bangers. You’re wrong.
@@nick260682 I shall reply as eloquently and with as much supporting evidence as you did:
No they don't, you're wrong. I fart in your general direction.
My husband’s family is from Scotland. They call it, “The Great Fry Up”. You inspired me to make this again. 👍
A great English breakfast fit for a king. Great execution especially with the HP sauce for the requisite pork bangers. Outstanding cooking Sam!
Max is upset that his “that’s what she said” was banned, so he had to find an issue with something Sam says. But “let it do its thing” is something everyone understands
what about, ''NOW WE MIX''???
I was wondering why he doesn’t say it anymore. It was a great part of the videos.
sometimes you just need things to get to know each other
@@SpringdaleJim hey hey Jim! Let’s not fuck with “and now we mix.”
@@miket2055 I liked his "That's what he/she said" too.
The beginning of the video 😂😂 I binged watched your old videos the other day and they are iconic! Btw I’ve started cooking with bacon due to these recipes 🥲
Sam, the British would have said "brilliant" a minimum of 7 times during the filming of this episode.
Innit?
Sam should have said “Bloody Brilliant” 🤔😆😆😆😆
"Gorgeous"
Brilliant job 10/10,
Im english and obviously cooked 100s of english breakfasts, but ive never cooked any part of it in a frying pan or hot plate, except the egg, i bang every thing in the oven no messing no standarding over the cooker perfect every time.
I miss those, used to indulge in one every day when I would visit the UK/Ireland. A breakfast that stays with you all day.
One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen on this planet.
As an Englishman, just want to say that I approve. This dish brings back so many great memories!
1) Bubble & Squeak ... it's not the norm for a Full English
2) A Full English tastes best in the following scenarios ... first, when camping .... second, at home ... third in a street cafe, fourth in a posh restaurant.
3) The only thing missing is a cup of tea
Well done Sam
As an English man I can say with full authority - this is how you do a full English!
First time in my damn life I've ever seen an American/Canadian nail it 😂
As a Brit I could do better plus beans do not belong on a break fest
@@andrewmorley3497 then your not a real Brit if you don’t like beans, we don’t claim you

Hey Sam I'm from England, and scotch eggs are one of my favourite snacks. You'll find these in every supermarket around the UK and every market. Why not try a different style of Scotch Egg? Pork? Chorizo? ground beef? endless ideas there to play with. not yet seen a lot on TH-cam about these so why not give the people what they want to see?;)
Matey, you forgot to say never buy a scotch egg from any shop or supermarket... hand made at a good farm shop only or it's on the 🚽🧻😟
Charlie, what about The Black Watch scotch eggs? Made with black pudding instead of pork sausage mince. They are phenomenal.
@@TheBilly6978 my local butcher makes them with black pudding and pork, one of my favourites to have
As an American, I’m confident in saying all of his accents were 100% accurate.
As a Brit, I can say not quite
@@joshuatm995 I was 100% joking. 😂
As an East londoner not a fucking chance!
Nice job! Spot on!
The HP sauce added to the beans takes it to another level
Try a knob of butter and black pepper!
Worcester sauce also excellent
Fond memories of when this American lived in London (now in Australia) and discovering the Full Monty. Loves me some Black Pudding and Fried Bread. Well done Sam! Shout out to Max and Chance (with his dreamy eyes).
Hello fellow North American in Australia
Just heard my dad the other day say that he needed a scoshe of something. Made me chuckle. I always thought that random words for measurements was a Sam thing, turns out, it's a Dad thing. Love the vids, and keep up the crazy measurement phrases.
Full english by a canadian/american presentation award. The fried bread makes it authentic, in my humble opinion.
"Pile of red, turdy mush" This is why everyone loves you, Sam. You are the real you on this channel.
Then they were pissing 😂
"If they blow, they blow. If not, they're just extra juicy." When kitchen wisdom meets dating advice.
As a certified Englishman, I fully approve your amazing breakfast and also your tremendous accents. Tally Ho!
Yay that looks so good. Have never had a breakfast like this for sure. Can’t wait til I try this one out.
It’s a working mans breakfast, they used to eat it early in the morning before work with their mates and it allowed them to work all day without stopping for lunch apart from a small snack. Then get home say 7/8pm after a full days manual labour.
It'll change your life
Great job lads.
Also, sausages are called bangers because back during World War 2 water was often put in sausages, this was fine until they were cooked when the water molecules would try to evaporate it would sound to those cooking them as if they were exploding
Edit; didn't realise there was Brussels sprouts in the veg mix, but traditionally bubble and squeak is mashed potato and cabbage
Bubble and squeak is a thing of beauty. You would use roast potatoes normally and then served with poached eggs and tomato ketchup
As a Brit it’s funny to hear you mention the effort needed. It must be bred into us over time, I’d say most brits can smash out a full English for your average family of four in about 30mins on a Sunday morning, all while nursing a hangover 🇬🇧💪🏻😂
Exactly !!!!!
Hey Max, we actually like when Sam takes multiple bites and use his signature phrases! Let him "do this thing"
My main criticism is when ever I make a fry up is I do everything in the same pan. Having all the cooking juices in together makes the meal perfect.
You just earned yourself British citizenship. Super accurate :)
this is exactly what we have for "big breakfast" Australia and i love it
also can you do some aussie food
Excellent effort. Just serve it on a plate (not a board) and you’ve nailed it
Blood sausage wise - Brits may like it, but the Polish adore it.
Worcestershire Sauce surely.
Tanveryen 100% correct. Worcester sauce not balsamic
No one adds any vinegar to tomatoes on a full English, especially bloody balsamic. What do you think we are, Italian?
From a Scottish man that looks damn good minus the mushroom... Love you guys and not just sayin that for a garlic press 🤣🤣🤣
