    My wife and I purchased a 2022 Gladiator Sport Altitude model and absolutely love it. It hasn't got all the insane packages but has the nice bed cover, sprayed liner, rail track system in the bed and heated seats - and tow package. Gonna replace the front bumper first then get a 3.5 inch lift kit and 35 inch tires. I have to say the gladiators are thought out very well and the v6 gets very decent mpg. We had a 2019 Renegade that we loved but the utility of the Gladiator is soo much better.

    How many adjustable track bars are needed for the lift? GREAT VIDEO. Gorgeous automobile!

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the compliment Liam!
      I am super happy with this lift.
      You technically don’t need any adjustable track bars with this lift. So the answer would be zero.
      However I chose to upgrade the front track bar since the after market one is beefier and adjustable if needed.
      The rear track bar is stock right now but I will be changing it out with a Clayton Off Road rear track bar that is molded in such a way that it allows a 37 inch tire the space to be carried in the spare tire area.
      As of now there is only about a credit card 💳 worth of space in between my spare tire and the rear track bar.
      I hope this answered your question.

    Great video... just put the mopar 2” lift and 37 on my Gladiator. I didn’t know about the adjustable track bar issue until after the lift or I would had it installed. Dealer keeps telling me I don’t need it but I’m not so sure about that.

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dealer might be correct. However I prefer the bigger beefer and adjustable track bar. It just "looks" like it could handle way more than the stock one. Congrats on your lift! I know it looks fantastic!

    Looks great! I have the Mopar lift on my Sport with 35s. The lift was originally designed for the Rubicon model, and actually gives the Sport model additional lift. Mine got about 2.75" of lift. The 37s look really good but I don't plan on changing...yet. I also got a new Track bar, track bar brace, and added a Fox stabilizer to match the shocks.

    I know you are a few years into this build now so the timing seems perfect for some questions, based on experiences since the lift and tire increase. I have a 2018 JLU Rubicon and have been waiting for the BFG tires to wear out before doing the lift and new tires. Now that I am there, I am going back and forth between the 35inch and 37inch tires. I wheel about 1 weekend a month on moderate trails with water crossings in similar terrain as Georgia (NE for me, so same mountain range). I am absolutely sold on the Fox OEM lift and steering stabilizer as well. So what kind of mileage loss did you encounter going up to the 37s both local and highway driving? Second is the handling, Did the lift and larger tires cause wandering on the road. I have been warned about that (hence wanting the steering stabilizer). Lastly, assuming you have the 3.6L, did you regear the rear for the 37s or stick with the OEM 4:11 Dana rear? If you stayed stock, how did that effect access oration and overall power on the road for you? thanks in advance. Your Gladiator looks fantastic. Thanks for the update and results you have experienced.

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Friend - Thank you for watching.
      I didn't track fuel mileage closely but I believe the jump from 35's to 37's decreased mpg by 2-3. I traveled the country on 35's with no lift for 6 months. That was the sweet spot setup if one cares even the slightest about MPG or a smooth ride. The 35 Nitto Ridge Grapplers were a great tire.
      I have not had any wandering or shake at all since lifting. I did add the mid-level fox steering stabilizer along with a much beefier trac bar. I believe that trac bar has helped a lot.
      I have the gas motor. I did not re-gear until later on when I realized attempting to get up hills in Colorado while pulling a trailer was a serious struggle. Physics has entered the chat.
      I now have 5:13 Yukon Gears. I did not notice power loss when I lifted or increased tire size but also I am not a petal to the metal driver. Now I get about 10 mpg when towing and 14 when not.
      I built my rig to be the sweet spot for off-roading and towing. I'm happy to report for me I have achieved my goal.
      If I had to do it all over again I would do everything the same.
      35's are still a good size tire. Smoother ride if you go with all terrain instead of mud terrain like I did. But I prefer the 37" with more aggressive tread. Hope this helps!

    Great video David! I love your enthusiasm! I just bought the Mopar lift for my 2021 JTR and I was wondering how it is doing? I have been viewing a lot of videos and yours is one of the best! A local shop recommended an adjustable front track bar, rear track bar bracket and a steering stabilizer along with the kit, Are all these things necessary if it is my DD 90% time and very light off-roading so basically a pavement princess! 😄 I'm just a little overwhelmed with all the different information. I have 35" Nitto tires already on it. I absolutely love my truck and I want to do the lift correctly. Thank you and keep up the great content!

    I'm putting fabtech tube fenders on my gladiator mojave and hoping that 37s will work. I've seen others do 37 with the stock fenders so I'm hoping the extra clearance of the new fenders will work out without a lift.

      Congrats on the tire upgrade. What is your reasoning for adding 37's with no lift?

    • @DaddyDog
      @DaddyDog 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidWaldrip I really want to keep the original setup the mojave comes with while gaining the lift that 37s will add. If I go with a lift that keeps the original suspension set up it's just adding extensions and I'm not sure I want to go that route. What will change that for me is if it rubs while off road.

    I don't know how youtube made your channel pop up but I have a gladiator rubicon on 35's with the mopar lift and identical track bar, have been debating 37's with a re-gear and have been looking at basecamps for the past 2 weeks hoping I can figure out if it makes sense for dirt bike road tripping.

      The 35's were good but the 37's are just perfect for me. I have no doubt that they will do great when towing. You are all set because you already have the lift and track bar. I would suggest the fox mid level steering stabilizer also. As far as re-gear goes my truck doesn't seem to need it.

      Track bar is not required but it makes the vehicle handle better with the heavier tires. Most upgrade to a beefier track bar.

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Garrett those are two excellent questions.
      The spare did fit underneath but just barely.
      - had to let some air out
      - had to purchase a wider wheel as it wouldn’t fit on the stock spare.
      Someone informed me in the comments that Clayton off road makes a rear track bar that allows for more tire space. I’ll be ordering that to put on soon.
      The Weboost definitely gets the job done in the out of the way areas. It will help if you are in a canyon or have no service at all.

      No modifications were made to any of the items you listed. I did add the trailer brake controller.

      You’re welcome.
      The bull bar is also Mopar. Designed to hold their lights ( which you can see mounted )
      Just know if you use that bar certain winches won’t fit. It’s designed to fit aWarn winch.
      Hope that helps.

    David thank you for taking the time to produce this quality video and sharing your lift experience. Did you re-gear with the 37in tires?

    Why did u go Mopar vs the aftermarket lifts that r available?

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mopar was the right height for me and made by fox 🦊 so I knew it would be quality.
      If I had an issue the Jeep dealer could fix it.

    Where is your spare tire? I really consider cos I'm thinking about 37" but I'm worried about it.

    • @DavidWaldrip

      My spare tire is located in spare tire carrier underneath the truck bed.
      My other Jeep video has details about how I fit a 37 in the spare tire carrier.

    Any issues with getting the alignment correct? I know those aren’t adjustable lower control arms just wondering if it would be better to go a different roote

      No problem aligning at all. My guy was able to adjust everything. Rides straight and great! Good luck

    With 37" is necessary to regear on the Gladiator Rubicon?

    • @DavidWaldrip
      @DavidWaldrip  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think it’s “necessary” especially if you leave in flat areas. However you will have reduced gas mileage and power without re-gearing.
      I am re-gearing my JTR tomorrow to 5.13 gears.
