That boot looks really similar to the Rocket Boot you can get in Terraria, it's animation is similar also, the 'farts' are from the rockets on them. Rocket boots and wings in Terraria give flying for periods of time which really helps in getting around the environments in the world because normal jumps are around five to 6 block high.
the thing is the creator of terraria worked on something mario related before terraria but got taken down by nintendo
@@tatltael0 Yes, Andrew Sprinks made Super Mario Bros X but had to disown it because Nintendo was threatening legal action. Apparently it was also the reason that it took a while for Terraria to get Console Nintendo Releases (Mid-3ds/Wii U era). There is still a hugely devoted Super Mario Bros X community but the game has not been updated in years (Super Mario Bros X is like Mario Maker way before Mario Maker). Terraria was actually created as a way to replace Super Mario Bros X but it later got it's own identity to the huge indie game it is now known as

I've always liked the Blue Shell. It's hard to control but really satisfying. I know I'm 7 months late, but I'd totally be down to see a full playthrough with these power ups. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a way to randomize them into all the blocks that normally have power ups?

You can tell there was a lot of time put into this rom hack. The powers all seem to represent their originals pretty well! If they were set up throughout the worlds in item blocks, that'd be even more awesome.
I loved all of these powerups but I loved the Cat Bell the best because it looks so awesome, and looks very fun to play with! I'd love to see you doing a playthrough utilizing the cat bell!

The ‘bubble’ Mario is probably inspired by blue baby Yoshi from NSMBU, that one also turns enemies into bubbles
Even though the mini mushroom doesn’t have much of a purpose, it’s still so much fun to use with the floating mechanics 😎

I use to play this game back in the nineties, I remember the 96 exits, cheese bridge secret, with soda lake below. I never knew about this secret, including someone collapse cookie mountain and there’s more levels when it crumbled down leading to a cave going into the mountain, a ghost house, castle and five levels

I know that this is a year old, but I feel like the propeller power up would be really good on that one star level with all the breakable yellow blocks that you have to twirl on. Spinning all the way down through those blocks would be super satisfying

I'll definitely be giving this a try, and I'd be willing to wager that Mini-Mario could make it through most of the game, though I don't know about the Koopalings or Bowser.
Looks amazing, it's so strange that the patch only puts them in an annoying line in Top Secret Area, groups of blocks would have been better. Or placing them throughout levels.

I like the fact that everything are all powerups from future mario games. and then theres just terraria's rocket boots (even with a 16 bit rendition of the sprite)

Got a question for you, will you be doing SMM2 Christmas fan submitted levels? Cause Id love for you to see my level I made last year.
If your wondering why hammer/boomerang don't work on the ceiling boos, those boos have a different sprite property from the regular boos. They are under a table of "cluster sprites" which includes the baseball the chucks pitch, rotatinf boos, etc. They are under this table for the purpose to save CPU usage.

My guess on why this is a thing is that this was basically the testing room for power ups that Nintendo used to make sure that there weren’t any bugs or anything and they forgot to take it out before release or they decided to use it as an Easter egg/secret.

These are absolutely the Terraria Rocket boots. If you go to the rocket boots page, the sprite is almost exactly the same. With 700 hours in Terraria, I recognized them instantly.
@@pinkiest1899 The difference only seems to be a pallet change to fit to 16 bit limitations. the sprite is the sameotherwise. It's quite odd they'd add it in with all the other mario powerups.
I'd love a play-through with these!!! I love them all except Superball, Cloud Flower and bubble flower...

That is very cool, I just love the power ups in the each mario game. They are just so interesting!(also I think you run in full speed and press the down button to slide as penguin mario, but that is just what I think, don’t know where bubble mario came from tho but this is still cool)

Have you heard of Super mario bros Z? it isn't a game, but it was a fan animation spanning 9 episodes each about 30 minutes long. it is a combination of super mario and dragonball z styled fights. it is still on youtube, so if this sounds fun, check it out

Personally id like a playthrough with ice, cat and shell mario but I think if there is a way to do it with a randomizer that would be sick. Also I wish metal mario was in this but it would be kinda overpowered

You could do a playthrough where you take 2 random ones for each level (yoshi and old power ups included). You would use some online randomizer or something. Could be fun. Also why not invite Lair?

I know I’m 2 years late, but you should check which enemies can be killed with Ice/Penguin Mario, Tanooki Mario, Hammer Mario, and Boomerang Mario in SMW like you do for various other powerups/games!

That was one of my biggest negatives of SMW, only 2 powerups. My favorite is the Hammer Suit, thanks to SMB3. It was lackluster to follow up part 3 with its great powerups to SMW with only 2😒

For some reason if you shoot an Ice ball while Penguin Mario he'll glitch out and go into the belly slide animation. Definitely the Propeller Mushy
You can probably slide with the penguin suit in ice, and there is only 1 ice level in the whole game (except for the sections in normal cave levels)

Hi. My kid wants to know how you got to this level where there are all these abilities? (the one in the very beginning) He gets to an area where there are maybe 5 blocks with powers (yoshi, fireballs, cape) but not the next area to the right where there's more. What's the secret to getting there? Thanks! He's getting frustrated that when he exits right, it just sends him out of that area.
