This is a nice breath of fresh air from some of the more generic romhacks played on the channel recently (maybe it being a flash game helps that). I think playing as Bowser helps distinguish it from other fan creations that you've given a try.

This is fun, I definitely want to see more. If you like playing as Bowser, you gotta check out the DS game of Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story; half the game is you playing as Bowser and smashing enemies just like in this game.

It's great that the toad variants are just toads with different power ups from different Mario games! It really makes you feel like Bowser is fighting against the heroes

This looks like so much fun! It's got the best of so many of the super mario games, plus a bunch of other cool new Bowser stuff. I love the Yoshi's island music in the world map too (and the super mario all stars music) 😎 Would love to see more of this!

Huh... That was a surprisingly fitting boss fight with Wario. Matches his character from his old games, and fits well with the general aesthetic of this game in and of itself. Even looked to be enough of a challenge to have fun, without ending up as a complete pushover just FOR the fun.
That shuffle run on the map literally has me in tears!!!
It's always cool when we get to play as the villains, especially Bowser 😄

I think the meat being the same role as the Super Mushroom originates from Paper Mario TTYD's Bowser level side stuff that happens between chapters, though it in this fangame is used exactly as a Super Mushroom, instead of allowing you to keep getting bigger each time you pick one up. Kinda like that Paper Bowser fangame from years ago.
I think that the meat is a reference to Bowser's healing items in M&L Bowser's Inside Story, where Bowser would use meat instead of mushrooms like Mario and Luigi
This was so awesome! i love how the Toad's took the place of the Koopas different types an all, even Wario made an appearance, huge props to whoever did this hack, GG Darby, would love to see more of this! XD

i love all the sound tracks from paper mario the thousand year door... this makes me want to play that game again, but you know what i missed most from that game? the sections where you played as bowser in a mario level... which this game does! (inspiration maybe?)

This is tight. I would have totally thought it was Lunar Magic at first. I always said if I made a hack I would call it, "Hell Comes to Goomba Town" and it would be this exact game, but you play as a goomba.
