Been following these guys since I saw them in 2013 open for Joyce Manor, TWIABP and Dads. Nicest dudes, got vinyl from them and everything. So cool they're getting some recognition.
They run their social media like they're still together. Kinda weird to see them (or whoever runs it) be so nostalgic about a band that broke up like a year ago.
Pavement, Built to Spill, Hum, Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh and Codeine all wrapped up into one nice package. For those of you haven't heard some of these bands listed, please check them out. Rad!
Ars Poetica I'm not exactly sure, but I do know that the bass player/singer Nick makes a lot of pedals himself that they use. Fuzz included. He sells them on his facebook or twitter I believe.
im enjoying this just cant get past the vocal mix, is it low because they are not that great at singing. Turn it up. let us decide. Otherwise excellent band.
jason mastrandrea yea man kexp has sucked at mixing the audio in that new room they are using, need to go back to that closet space they were using (plus it had more character)
Kick drum and bass are lacking. Kinda lessens the power their sound can have. Though, I do understand how hard it can be to get good live mixes, especially with level changes due to pedals and such.
Years later and Return to Love is still one of my favorite albums ever. Such an underrated band.
just saw their hoodwink'd album tour show..maybe they'll do a 10 year tour for Return to Love!
@ that would be so sick, definitely something I would travel for
@@cj.lambertone can dream 🕊️
So cool! Man, I wish these dudes were still making music! ❤
the three main songwriters all have solo projects worth checking out!

Jake D it's funny they were opening for those bands since they're better than all of them.
Saw them live in SF.. such amazing performers. Sad to see them go their separate ways.. one of my all time favorites.

Lots of Neutral Milk Hotel in their sound as well.
Pixies too
Good stuff dudes, keepin that chill but skilled college feel alive
what a special band!! so excited to see them go places!!
The Elliott homage he put in Pain was great.
Thank you college radio for helping me find these guys.
finaly found these guys , had heard , it was worth it !! PAIN BEST SONG
Rickenbacker guitar dude rules, his songs slay
Trace Mountains dude!
Hell yeah. Good stuff right here.
Sooooo good
This is 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I wish the mixing and audio levels were done better. They get so much power from Nick's bass and it's not loud enough! This band is fantastic anyways.
Are you listening through laptop speakers or something? Pretty loud through my sub.
Francis Locrius Nah. I'm using some bose headphones. Admittedly, these don't have a lot of bass.
Jackson Aldridge it's not you man, the mixes have sounded like shit ever since they started using the bigger performance room.
The Media Splash Oh well. Doesn't do them justice, but it's still good.
that snare sounds so damn good
This sounds BETTER than the record! Holy fuck, that was great.
I hate that I am late to finding these guys...they rock! Thanks✌
Yes
so fucking sick
These guys are REALLY good.. 😳
sounds like the dude was deeply influenced by Elliott Smith's Roman Candle on their track Pain
heck ya
They really hace a good sound👏 a little bit grunge
When they play with there pedals is awesome, then when all the noise clears,he starts to sing ~I dont know ~~what I'm lookin' fororor~~~

Доброго времени суток КЕХР.
При опубликовании какого нибудь музыкальную группу прошу написать стиль музыки.

saw u in chicago my friend said he wants to date the drummer real bad.
first song is a straight up Pavement cover
lol especially that one riff it’s still sick though
What pedal are they using to get that crunchy guitar sound (specially on the rickenbacker in spirit was)?
Ars Poetica I'm not exactly sure, but I do know that the bass player/singer Nick makes a lot of pedals himself that they use. Fuzz included. He sells them on his facebook or twitter I believe.
Adding some detail to Jackson's reply: spiritwas.tumblr.com/shop At least a handful of their pedals are these custom-made by bassist Nick Corbo.
how old are these dudes?

firegirk121 hush. If I was them I'd miss basement shows, I think they're the most magical out of all venues
lol basements shows
hold a special place in my heart as well
Thomas I played a basement show w the drummer way back in 2009 where we went to school together!
@@aliens106 Fredonia? What band?

I do love their albums, but to be honest, they're not very good at live performance.
elevator operator it's not them, kexp performances have sounded like shit since they got that new room for the sessions
have you ever seen them live? i saw them in like 2013 or 2014 and they were pretty amazing...
