If an island just need an animal, build a bird house on it (given you sketched that before) ;) The little dots indicate how many trinkets you can attach to a tool, if i'm not mistaken...
The pips seem to indicate how many upgrades you can put on it. For example, two pips let you sharpen AND coat the weapon whereas one pip means you have to choose only one.
Eventually you will be able to have birds on your island for eggs. You should make a bird house and also I noticed you haven’t researched everything you have in your inventory. If it shows with a yellow dot then you can research new crafting items with it. You might want to meticulously check all of the items you possess in your inventory and in storage. Once you get to the Red Cliffs islands you will find clay and start using those resources. You should also use the stones you have on your map table to unlock new areas.
Hello, love the series, got a chance to watch the stream as well. Very fun thank you for the content, PS you have so many cooking recipes in ur inventory, items that looks like a Tome, us should use them, cooking is soo good for damage, gathering faster, getting more resourced when u gathering so on..
The trough, as I understand it, is not too useful as the animals will eat in their cycle but the wool will only be one shearing. So if you are away, they may eat three hay per but you'll only get one wool from them.
the loom island is so beautiful! i got so stoked when i saw it load in >:) the stream was a great setup to get these items, and i love these update features! no more gamer vision lmho!
I would love to see them add more build sets, as well as make the traingular pieces snap into place, as well as make it to where they and the curved pieces match the orientation of the foundations and floors. I'd also like to see more support type pieces, home decor, interior walls, shelves, etc... Also, the glare indicates a knowledge stone or anchor.
Not sure if its already been mentioned, but that upgrade table rotates. So you could put it against a wall for example and only need 1 side accessible. Once you access the table it rotates to the appropriate side that you require by selecting which of the 3 tabs you need. Just an observation I made, love the playthrough so far.
You already have everything you need to start farming as well. In the farm tab, you have the compost bin. Build that, turn all the manure into compost. Then you can build the rustic farm plots, and start farming.
I found the Sawmill, its basically on the far other side of the storm, to the left, in the second layer beyond the first storm wall. It might be elsewhere in other seeds, but in mine it was on the far side and that kinda sucked to get there. But I finally upgraded to linen sails and clothes, the clothes give me 10 hotbar slots so that's awesome, so now I'm ready to go beyond the second storm wall to the Red Cliffs. Also, the little pips on the tools are trinket slots, you want as many pips as you can get, they don't affect sharpness at all. You can coat and sharpen any tool, even if it has no pips if memory serves, I've put a Sky Spirit and Storm Shell trinket on my stone sword, also if you eat foods like Stew (potatoes, carrots and water) you get the Productive bonus which give you more resources when harvesting things, and Pumpkin Loaf increases attack damage, both foods make combos able to be executed shorter than normal, increasing DPS. Food is pretty darn good for battles, and both foods give over 40 bonus health, I believe default health is 50 so eating a Stew and a Pumpkin Loaf before combat triples your HP, speeds up your attacks, makes you hit harder and gives you more resources, and drinking a cup of coffee before battle makes you dodge better on account of doubling momentum gain, as from what I can tell (not sure if its just me) but I seem a bit faster to move with the Zippy condition that coffee gives you.
On the livestream one of the devs said that the islands are designed but they're basically scattered randomly around the map, so that island likely isn't in the same spot in his save...
@@InternetGravedigger Well, regardless of where the island with the Sawmill is, I do know it only appears beyond the first stormwall. And it only sucked for me to find it because I went the wrong way around the storm by chance XD
I believe if you look around the islands, you'll notice a visual effect that looks like sunbeam circles. I think if you follow them they lead to knowledge stones.
I watched your live and there a moment where you wanted to swap your current island for a much smaller one that was yours during the demo, and while I understand nostalgic reasons it wouldn't make sense to swap. IN the demo you could get away with having a much smaller island because there was limited things to place and mess around with, but now that it's in early release the space of the demo island wouldn't hold up best to stick with your moderate sized island for now. But in the end it is your choice
the pips denote how many upgrades a particular piece of equipment can equip. none=none 1or 2= 1 or 2. Ps. introducing animals can refer to more than just the island in total. It can mean parts of the islands too. I.E A part there are no animals on, like an upper ridge, with no way for them to make it up to that area.
I've had the same thought, especially ones that already have some cool buildings or ruins. Sadly, those large islands are too big and unmoveable. You can check the map table, and if it has a "kg" symbol, it's too big to fly.
Hello im willing to mess here since i got a issue that no ones got, yesterday i started playing, got my island did everything, started navig, and i found a sheep that a feed and sent home, played a while sheep was still here, i saved and replayed today, to find out the sheep isnt here anymore ? did i do anything wrong or its just a bug ?
You need bigger space for those animals. They are getting stucked on each others to be able to aet from the trough. You might think that insted you should get rid of some of them but that will not help you. You will still need to make it bigger for the other kinds of animals . That said, while you were exploring and clearning islands during livestream, you have left some poor animals traped in the corruption. I know you cant cure them but at least check what animal it is. As I said there are other kinds that give you diferent product as well. Also I dont belive you need to make a platform circle around your island . Looks terrible. Just have a "wings" come out of the island that will hold your sails and floaters . Would look a lot better I belive. you can even make a storage on those wings or some small buildings for said animals ;)
Two pips on an item means you can have 2 upgrades... like sharpness and poison. The sword is by far the best for fighting. Also there is a limit to how many animals you can have on your island. I am using the same one as you and it is about 8-10 animals. You can not kill them or throw them off the island. They just respawn back on it. You can drop them off at a new island. All the recipes I have require eggs... which I have not found.
Gameplay looks repetitive and I suspect those areas you cannot enter might be pay for DLCs Funcom should create storms that transport your island into procedural generated areas. It would introduce some random elements into a game that provides the same experience for every player. This is another Conan Exiles nothing changes game.

😃😃😃
I think the pips on your tools indicate how many buffs can be applied at once
Yep, this - they're "slots" for buffs such as sharpening or applying fungicide.

Can't wait for your channel building guide videos, your one of the reasons I started on TH-cam. Keep up the awesome work 👍

Loved the stream last night

7:06 didn’t you figure out what those “pips” did in episode 3
hey Z, loving this series... keep them coming!
the loom island is so beautiful! i got so stoked when i saw it load in >:) the stream was a great setup to get these items, and i love these update features! no more gamer vision lmho!
I'm in my fifties. Using the word, "pips", is awesome! Most people my aga, don't know what a pip, is.
Not sure if you already did it and I missed it, but you can sketch the stone chest you're digging up. Holds a little more than the wood chest.

30:52 you’ve discovered things earlier that i haven’t found yet, but I’ve gotten things in the starting area that you’re only getting now
Stream again island clearing when you feel like it. I really liked watching that stream.
Good timing
I legit just got done watching the live 😂😂
You don't need cloth sails to sail through the rocks you just have to avoid the rocks.
No you need, they prevent u to trough...
they didnt prevent you in the demo i think, but i did see it prevent people in early access to pass through without stronger sails.
@@kassitherascal yes, 💯 right...

1:50 The table will rotate depending on what you access, so you don't actually need to access the table from all sides... Just one is enough.
7:24 I think the pips represent the number of upgrades a tool can get. More pips more upgrades?

You still have a bunch of items in the chests that can be put into the stockpiles.
Ecosystem fix island can be gathered but not learning stones, full corrupt means no harvest til in Ecosystem mode
36:28 it’s a sickle not a scythe , if it was a scythe it would be taller than you 😊
the pips are the option slot like sharpening & fungicide a the same time
The pips are for how many trinkets you can put on the item
You can place a habitat instead of placing an aninal on the islands that says they need animals
Has anyone tried setting one of the giant island as your home and flying it because that last island had a lot more space for building and animals.
I've had the same thought, especially ones that already have some cool buildings or ruins. Sadly, those large islands are too big and unmoveable.

You remind me of Martin Short sometimes. I like it.
The update gives you TEN slots on the hotbar, yay: 1, 2, 3, … 9, 0!
dont forget charcoal can be made in tthe campfire not just scavenged

looks like you can have 2 different food bonuses also
You can't have too many animals, just too little space. Perhaps it's time for an upgrade?
Upgrade which mean change island...
Cus quota for animals is by size of island...
you have food rescapes
You have enough keys to open all the chests in the vault on one of the starting islands
Leaving stuff in those chests. Not sure if you realized.
Don't leave the lil sheepy sheeps all alone 🥺🥺

gdamnit, i watched ep 6 before this one... im sad now...
Notice on the sharpened pickaxe one of the pips changed to a star. The pips are how many upgrades the tool can have.
Right now just 2...
Im glad im not playing this game, i think i would change my base to frequently. islands look amazing
Gameplay looks repetitive and I suspect those areas you cannot enter might be pay for DLCs

It's pretty funny how you can play a game for more than 6 hours, and STILL don't know how to do ANYTHING. In that timeframe,, I beat Halo3.
