I agree narrow islands are best. I was cringing as you built those piers, widening your island. Also, adding rudders makes the island more maneuverable. You see why that’s useful now. Sketch everything you can. There’s a massive island with adobe/clay architecture. You’ll need lots of charcoal and paper. Beehives are uncommon and super useful. It’s the only way to get waxed rope. When you find a group of isles with them you may want to farm them a bit. Use the dorkip on random dirt plots occasionally. Some islands have undersurface fauna. Stockpile wool before attempting wall crossings. Don’t pass up islands. There are things you need for upgrades. And bones are quite useful. Think: all new weapons.
Twin oaks most often have bees...and wax! You need wax....all the wax. The zone for clay is a hotter and dryer zone. You need a clothing upgrade to handle it. If you find flax (to make linen) gather and grow mass quantities. There appears to be a lot ahead of you. The yellow and especially the purple moonlight flowers are important. Don't rush!!
Something I've found in farming. Wheat is harvested by the sickle, the sickle has a strike radius wider then the farm plot, you can/will loose some/all of the crop in plots adjacent to the wheat. After two partial losses, I just made a single plot away from the others for wheat only. Another thing, plots can snap/merge with each other and a single use of water will cover a 2x2 plot. Might be more that's the largest I've made so far since I paused progression to find a new home island that will have water and (ideally) some other useful resources respawning like hardwood. 15:21 You have a 'food one' now. you should create a "home base", where you keep a set of tools animals and production setups, on both sides of the wall and then create a small island to traverse between them.
Aaahh, I just want to scream. My inner OCD is so upset he put a sail on only one side but not the other?! He's not doing anything wrong per se but I can't be the only one feeling at least a little upset? My mind would've broke if I did that to myself.😝😝😝

The game is pretty good, but the travel time sucks a bit and I have the same island as you and 6 wool square sails. Also I hate finding tech I can not build because I do not have the ability to make certain parts, like Wool Fabric and after finally getting that I do not have the right flowers for the right pigments nor planks of some sort and some weird stone with a hole in it. Even the recipes are screwed as all but coffee require eggs... which I have never seen. I also do not like that rope is currently made from the fiber you get from the guys on the corrupter islands. This is made worse because the hay takes rope. The green shirt and pants give you a wider fast-build bar. I scrapped all my chests and switched back to the grass baskets as the carved wood is too rare... especially for the cogs. And yes there is a bug with the torches in some caves. I have a few islands that are missing corrupted cores, but I do not want to start the game over. It seems the anchors and rocks are not island specific to what technology they give you. I have not found clay or tomatoes... or eggs, but I have found the bees and pumpkins.
Sometimes when you find a dorkip just sticking out of the ground you can dig the ground right there and find buried chests. Same if you see a pile of stones shaped like an x

Can i suggest moving your sail to center island it's too far out
can you make a smaller ship that you can fly to the islands? could put chests on it and might be faster than wing suite
while it only shows 8 tool slots you can assign 9 and 0 to tools by hitting the number over tool in bag.
