The food was so good on our Romantic Rhine Cruise. The waffles were good. My routine was an omelette most mornings, loved it. We really enjoyed the daily lunches, especially the bbq on the sundeck. We expected good food, but the meals definitely exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for your comment and watching our video. Cheers 🥂

@@GJonVacay We did Prague to Paris a few years ago and loved every second. Also did the Mekong in 2019. My next one is the Danube Germany to Romania, June 2024 (not soon enough). The food, atmosphere, attention to the customer, everything is top notch.

Looks very tasty indeed--thank you for posting! Any idea how the food on Avalon might compare with Viking River Cruises? We did the Rhine on Viking this past November, and while the food was quite good, we're looking to do the Danube on another river cruise line that might step up the culinary offerings a notch or two (without costing us an arm and a leg to do so) -- thanks!

We went on that cruise this summer also and Yes the food was Very good. So good that I had a hard time picking just one main entre. So I often had two main entrees ! I also liked the fact that every day they would serve a local dish from where you were traveling through.

Thank you for your comment and watching our video. As I recall, from our experience, the cruise wasn’t like an all-inclusive type trip where you can order as much as want. It was only one entree. The breakfast was a buffet, and you could go back as many times as you wanted. Hope that that helps.

Thank you for your comment and watching our video. Avalon had a different ice cream each night which we enjoyed. There were other dessert options.
Avalon Waterways/Globus is our preferred brand, we have not travelled with Ama, but I have heard is a good cruise line.
We had an amazing Rhine River adventure with Avalon, highly recommend it.
