Well in this episode she was right. She knew how fast and agile Aikka was (therefore able of dodging their weapons) and how dangerous his magical arrows were (as you see it took them only one to take them down) so she persuaded him to accept a race without weapons (the only way they could even the odds) No one trusted her instinct and fired the shot and of course Aikka answered back and as Eva predicted they lost
(I know this is an old comment but still...) Actually Eva nearly saved the race. As you see if Aikka wanted to fight he could as well deliberately stay behind, get a clear shot with his arrow and neutralize them and win the race without trying. Eva suggested a pure race without weapons exactly because she knew that his magic weapons were very hard to beat. She suggested this knowing full well what Aikka was capable of. In here if Eva had allowed Aikka to be hurt, then that would make her break her word even further. I doubt that anyone would appreciate a victory won by a vicious shot that your opponent wasn't prepared for

Losing the race WAS Molly's fault. If she hadn't have tried to move the ship like she did, then the shot would've hit home and Aikka would've lost :P
