this performance literally never fails to make me tear up, knowing the weight of it, their final performance together, their final performance with the drummer, the final performance before the singers death, it seriously feels like the conclusion of a whole journey
Unfortunately Shinji Sato (lead singer and guitarist) died only a few months after this performance, really tragic and he had such huge visions for the future of the band that never came to fruition. A lot of the past and OG members still perform under Fishmans+. They are one of the best bands ever to ever make music ❤ Also Flood by Boris 😬
Yuzuru Kashiwabara's bass is just unreal, damn! After Fishmans, he went on to create Polaris, and imho among all the other post-Fishmans projects, they're my top pick! It's like they've got this incredible ability to carry the Fishmans vibe forward while also crafting their own unique sound. Yuzuru's bass injects that groovy dub influence, and Yusuke Oya's guitar playing and tenor vocals are just amazing! It's not trying to be Fishmans, but witnessing their own musical journey unfold is really nice. They're carving out their own path, and the progress is impressive! Their 2002 record "Home" Its a must listen for any Fishmans fan who feels like branching post-Fishmans. Just listen to the track "光と影 " and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about lol
Banger reaction. I think you'd like Ants From Up There - Black Country, New Road It came out just last year and has instrumentation similar to Sufjan Stevens and post-rock climaxes like Godspeed You! It was also well-received, rate your music was climaxing all over it. Keep these reactions coming
would loove to see your reaction to any of the Les Rallizes Denudes material. They are like japanese psychedelic noise rock gods. 77' Live or Heavier Than a Death in the Family would be a great start.
Whether it's because the vocalist took their own life two months later, or because the bassist is leaving the band, there's an intense, almost haunting energy to this performance.

I think this is probably gonna be completely unrelated to this album, but I think it would be really cool if you took a listen to “The Mollusk” by Ween. They certainly aren’t for everyone, but I genuinely love this album and how it’s able to blend different styles of music, but also give it a sense of humor. It also inspired SpongeBob so I think it would be cool to see your reaction.
Great reaction man If you want to experiment more with Japanese music, I really recommend the band “Lamp”. Especially the album “Tokyo Utopia Tsushin”. They are this Shibuya-kei, jazzy dream pop band that has a very unique and distinct sound and color. Love them (All of their album discography is full of bangers after bangers)
For me this song is on the same level of: - A Day In The Life - Beatles - Starless - King Crimson - Shine on You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd - Close To The Edge - Yes - Tarkus - ELP

the cut to the sunglasses has me cryingggg 😭😭😭
For me this song is on the same level of:
- A Day In The Life - Beatles
- Starless - King Crimson
- Shine on You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd
- Close To The Edge - Yes
- Tarkus - ELP
its better than all of those
@@mackevvimo starless and close to the edge are better by a tad bit
Yurameki in the air siento que es la mejor versión en vivo de una canción, simplemente escuchar esa versión hace que sienta muchas cosas
nice Tee - cowboy bebop カウボーイビバップ🥹
Can I recommend “isn’t anything” by my bloody Valentine, it’s their first record and is a mix of shoegaze and noise pop👍
