How long a set did they really play> Just that there was only 30 minutes on the highlight broadcasts... is tyhere likely to be a full longer set aired on BBC3 or 4 in the months to come?

I remember the first time Madness came back, that was a fucking embarrassment, good to see them back on form.

Burn good
There's no need for these great bands to rush their brilliant songs - Blondie do the same. People want to hear them at their proper speed. Modern pop is a quicker tempo, but that's cos it's totally lacking in substance and quality. So it requires gimmicks like thudding base and boring long vocal notes. Madness don't need to try and copy Greenday's sound. Humans will still be enjoying the 1980 version of Embarrassment in 200 years time when Green Day won't even be a footnote in the history of the brief but brilliant phenomenon that was pop music.
