The end of this with Common People is probably the greatest live spectacle there is. Imagine being The Strokes having to follow Pulp with your one mediocre album.

Disco 2000 has to be there most iconic anthem of Britpop, I remember going to a Disco at Center Parcs, Elvedon Forest when I was 8 at the time and the DJ caught me wearing PULP t-shirt and he played Disco 2000 and now I'm 29
I miss those times....its such a long time ago. Too much nostalgia for me....and we are not ever coming back. Jarvis looks like a clerk or a teacher, but he is truly a great performer. Incredible.

I'm not sure if it was the booze that I'd consumed, but this set was more special than any other that I've seen at any festival. Jarvis was perferctly tuned into the crowd. What a man!

This is a mind blow, as this song was released in 1995 when Jarvis was 32 and I was 9. Now he's 49 and I'm 26 -- where has the time gone?

The Strokes is a legendary band on its own and all, but how they were gonna follow up this amazing set is beyond me.
That being said, with Pulp, The Strokes, Muse and MCR, for me Reading 2011 was one of the greatest lineups ever assembled back then. As great as Oxegen 2006 when The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Placebo championed the stage
Also The Offspring and Madness. Compare that to the dogshit that Reading and Leeds put out now. Worlds apart.
What's amazing about this performance is that it was 2011, 16 years after the song came out. I doubt half the crowd were out of nappies when it came out!! Yet who stole the show? Yep, 90s guitar music rocks!!

It's amazing how much people age! I saw Pulp live during the V-96 FESTIVAL in Warrington. It's been 15 years now... Jarvis hasn't lost his verve. He still looks like he was back in the day! Any one remember the 'Virgin' vodka cola? lol.

No one could be as good as bowie but he's certainly not too far off
I'm sorry but Bowie was on a whole different level. Jarvis stamped his name over the Brit Pop era but not even close to Bowie's legacy.
If only Brett Anderson has brighter and more long lasting career than he is now, he'll be the "next Bowie" although even with his swagger and all he can only be the lite version of Bowie. Both Brett and Jarvis are Britpop legends tho
