    I feel like the area I live in has an untapped market for this type of business. What do you recommend I research in order to get started, what licenses/certifications are required? Could I do this just as an independent contractor or would getting an LLC be more beneficial?

    • @raysmith9796
      @raysmith9796 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to do your research. There is a lot to know before jumping into this market. Do you want to be a CDL or non CDL driver? That will determine a lot of things. What type of equipment do you have bc you may not be able to be non CDL if your equipment is rated to high. DOT, MC number and authority, insurance costs, you must have at least an LLC with a valid EIN number, also do you want to get into factoring your loads or do you have enough money to wait the 30/45/60 days to get paid. There is a lot to consider but it is a great business to get in to. Very profitable if you know your numbers and do it right. Cut your overhead as much as possible and run the tires off your truck as often as possible. Good luck!

      @@raysmith9796 what does factoring your loads mean? And why is there a 30/45/60 day wait to get paid?

    Anybody that thinks he drove 5100 miles in one week don't know hotshot and no way that was a 7 day week more like a 10 day week this is what all you people wanting to get in this business do not realize.

    • @truckingwithbennii
      @truckingwithbennii  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So your saying you wouldn’t want to make $1,000 bucks a day ? 😂😂Okay you saying it was a 10 day week doesn’t make it look bad it actually still makes since I made 10k in 10 days 😎! And I had a vacation ! Im home now commenting back to you

      @@truckingwithbennii I do hotshot so I make more than a 1000 a day but you doing good for a beginner just don't say it's a week when a week is 7 days.

      Johnathan is probably just saying don't be misleading (as you ripped Tow Piglet for doing). I enjoy the videos, I'm proud of you and your father's success (fellow African American). I drove 5 days last week and made $6,500. I definitely take every weekend off to rest and recoup. Anyway, keep grinding just stay truthful and transparent to the beginners, like me, who watch your channel. 5100 miles in 7 days sounds tough. May set people up for unrealistic goals.
