- Ine, located on the Tango Peninsula, is a port town facing Wakasa Bay in the Sea of Japan where the waves are calm.
It is also a popular tourist destination with boathouses, which is rare even in Japan, and is also a historical place where the legends of Urashima and Jofuku remain.
I introduce what I learned from my travels, such as why there are funaya built in Ine, and why there are legends of Urashima and Jofuku on the Tango Peninsula.
In addition, I introduce a little history of Fukuchiyama and Maizuru on the way to Ine.
