love these videos man !! watched them all !! just ordered my 2016 MT-125 so excited
Thanks dude! Bet you can't wait, loved every second of mine :D
Great review, seriously considering one myself, your review helps a lot
I enjoy when people do reviews whilst riding..... Gives you a bit more to look at.... Great Video!! :)
+MiniRider Thanks for that! I do as well, my first review of this bike was just walking around the bike so i though putting it into a vlog would be better, Plus i have showed everyone different parts of llanelli that i haven't shown before :D
+BigBenMotoVlogs I did enjoy it :D
Nice vid man, have subbed :) I'm picking my MT125 in Race Blue up next Friday, really excited, have returned to biking after an almost 30 year gap lol. Cheers for the review, has sealed the deal for me 👍
Welcome back and congrats. A truly amazing bike they are! Still after 15 months of owning it, it still makes me smile :D Good luck and enjoy the bike
I bought my Mt-125 brand new first day of TT week here on the IOM and man I am loving it!
Awesome dude! Amazing bike they are, i miss mine :P
I have been riding for almost 250,000 miles, but I am buying an MT-03 for use in northern Thailand. This MT series is superb.
The MT series has been and is great, making my way through them slowly. Haven't ridden an MT-03 but from what i have heard, the engines have plenty of poke. Enjoy
got mine yesterday..weather permit out this week..looks amazing
Nice one man! They are great bikes, still miss mine some days :P
Wahey - local boy 😁 Looking at one of these myself. Good vid.
Hi man awesome video I'm thinking about buying the wife an mt 125 to learn on I have a Yamaha xv950 my self and the Yamaha's are brilliant it's nice to a local doing videos too keep it up man hopefully see you about and about 👍👍
Just bought one today can wait to pick it up! Im 6.2 tho and i found it a bit on the smaller side but better driving position than the r 125
Good vid man im getting a xsr or mt 125 as my first bike to commute back and forth to work as a cheap second car in about a month once my new car turns up lol
Thanks man. I never regretted the mt125, such a good bike. Only 125 that outdid this bike was the yzf-r125. Good luck though
Lovely bike
Adnan E Thank you 🖒
Awesome man can't believe it's been six months n ya wether has been bad I've been away few days by the sea windy n wet I've missed mine so hope to get out tomoz on it
+maz mt125 I know right, time has gone quick! Weather has been terrible, sunny one minute and chucking it down the next!! Suppose to be some decent weather tomorrow. Enjoy
ya weather looks good today i hope to get a vid up later :)
Nice looking bike
Thanks dude, i see her around sometimes. Still looks good for nearly 3 years old
Pick mine up this Friday coming :)
Barry Cheetham Excellent mate, have fun!
Love this guy, Im from and born in Swansea
Bubble Steiner Thanks dude 😁 Nice to hear from another local!
BigBenMotoVlogs im hoping to either get this one your riding in the video either the 2014 model or 2015 depending on the price or a yamaha wr125x 2013-2015 love both but im 5,7 so i might have to lower it but dont want to spend extra on that
They should be decent prices for the 2014 models, if you look hard enough you should be able to get one for around £2500ish. I was gonna go for the wr but the insurance was silly expensive, £40-50 per month but only £12 per month for the mt! Lowering kits are easy to come by if needed
Nice vid :) got also a mt 125 ;)
+edouard gosseye Thank you!
Do you find you get better mileage over standard petrol?
BEN ARE THERE A GOOD LEARNER BIKE AS I HAVE JUST FAILED MY MOD 2 THOUGHT I GET A CHEAP BIKE TO PRACTICE ON
good vid mate .
+Simon Fly Thanks mate
I have the mt 09.
+Simon Fly Oh very nice! How you finding it?
+BigBenMotoVlogs love it , had nearly 2 years now always puts a grin on my face .
+Simon Fly Awesome! That's what you want out of a bike!
did you change your backing support ?looks great !
+Niko B Whats the backing support mate?
For a 125 it sounds great, what's the stock exhaust like compared to the Scorpion? I'm also looking at a YZF-R125
+6Twisted It sounds awesome in person! The stock isn't to bad sound wise but very quite. In comparison to the stock, the scorpion is lighter, shorter, less bulky and a lot better sounding!
+6Twisted its always worth changing the exhaust ( i plan on getting the akropovic) but its still good without. the only thing is that you are lookout at at least 11000 for insurance on a YZF and 700 with the MT
Hey man, all these motovlogs have persuaded me into getting a bike haha, is it correct you can ride this bike with just a CBT? Great vids man!
Oh I noticed you still had L plates, so I take it just a CBT is needed to ride?
Yep just a CBT needed. L plates will be gone very soon :D
+BigBenMotoVlogs you're a legend mate, have a 685th subscriber and hello from Bristol 😄
Any time. Thanks man for the sub :D Oh wow, not a great deal away then! Good luck
just posted a question and then i heard you run through the numbers. is the bike comfortable? anyway great informative vlogg and a very nice bike.
Bike is comfortable but as for any bike, after a few hours riding you can get a bit stiff but you can get comfort seats that would solve that anyway. Suspension is great, not to hard and not to soft. Thank you
Nioocce
+metz15shakil Thanks bro!
I know where you are haha st elli, Im looking at one of these now
This is the bike I'm looking for for my first bike I'm trying to find a second hand one I really like the look of it f
did you get one?
Please tell mileage.
Dude is this Swansea? :D
Been looking to see if I should get the MT125 ABS, the YZF R125 or the KTM Duke 125... Cannot choose lol
Nope, just down the road in llanelli :P Its a hard decision, in the end with me, it came down to what the insurance would have cost each month! The mt was the cheapest :D Glad i made that decision
BigBenMotoVlogs yep same here gonna check how the insurance go with the 3 bikes lol! The MT125 does look very sexy! Need to pop down and check them out I guess, I don't wanna look too big for the bike and I am like 5 foot 10 :D
I’m 5.6 and my sons MT 125 is too high for me really it’s a shame because his mum would like to have a ride on it
I'm thinking about starting to ride and I'm 6 foot and about 12.5 stone will I'll i be alright on the bike
The bike would be perfect for you. I'm 5'10 and on tip toes so 6 foot would be perfect and your weight is nothing to worry about, it can support a much heavier person :D
i want one but theyre so god damn expensive!!
+Harvey They are but they are built to last! Quality is top
+A Somewhat Amused British Guy Exactly what i did
harveyuu get a second hand one
Where did u get your resevoir caps from
+James Usher From eBay james. It came with the levers
nice video, I'm deciding between mt125 and wr125x for my first bike. i love the two, What do you recommend.
+Ali Al Jaber I was originally going to go for the wr125x but found the insurance was going to be £40 per month!! checked the MT and its only £13 for the exact same cover! Both bikes are amazing, all depends on what kinda of riding you do.
+BigBenMotoVlogs
the insurance is just not fair !! because both bikes are almost the same price and the same company, i live in germany maybe the insurance is different from the uk.
I really like MT125, thank you it was very helpful :)
+Ali Al Jaber It hopefully will be, supposedly the wr bikes are the most stolen in the UK, thats why its a high insurance :(
most stolen !! WTF
my A1 driver license almost finished, I guess I'll buy The MT 125.
Thanks you a lot :)
+Ali Al Jaber Alot of bike thefts around here and the insurance reflects! Good choice, you will not be disappointed
Hey, my height is 5.4. Do you think this bike would be too high for me? Thanks.
If you kept it stock yes but you can buy lowering kit which lowers it by 40mm!
Gagandeep Sachdeva it will be fine its only 810mm seat height
Swiss Valley ;)
How tall are you. I am 191cm, will it fit?
I am 5'10/177cm and it was nearly perfect for me so you should be ok
got a link on them levers?
+AnalogMotovlog The seller doesn't sell them anymore unfortunately :(
Does it indicate what gear you're in?
JollyTechnology It doesnt have a gear indicator no
That's a shame since it's supposed to be for learners but thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I got a Peugeot Speedfight 4 about 4 months ago shortly after my 16th birthday and I'm just starting to think about what 125 to get but this bike is certainly at the top of my list. Thanks so much for making this video because it was definitely helpful and I will probably go ahead and buy one of these bikes. I was considering the CB125F from Honda but in terms of looks and basically everything, this Yamaha beats it hands down, of course it's more expensive but it's well worth it in my opinion. Thanks again
Thats where i live lol .
:-) Don't You have a pinlock pins on Your visor?
Give the thing a try i works perfect - especjaly when the weather is damp or in the slow traffic ;-)
+ZxNinjaVlog Fun Well since this video i have been using the pin lock, found my anti-fog insert and never looked back :P Thanks
Have you given up on the channel? :(
Hey i'm 5.7 will this bike be good for me?
Should be fine, you will be on your tip toes with stock setup
k thx
You live in llanelli?
I do yeah, not riding motorbikes at the moment though
+BigBenMotoVlogs what's your exhaust?
+Delfago Lp sorry for asking xD
+Delfago Lp No problem my friend :D Its a Scorpion Serket Taper in Carbon
£4000!?
O'dd dy dad di'n berchen siop beics yn murray st?
I didn’t really know my father so I am not sure sorry
I'm 5"4 and my tip toes touch 🤷🏼♂️
where did you get your brake leavers
+Jordan Keeble I bought it from this seller, doesn't have brake levers for sale at the moment but should be having more in : www.ebay.co.uk/usr/faye2678
Sweet how much did you pay, another question with your scorpion pipe!, it's the full system?, if so is the down pipe thicker than the standard exhaust? From the head to the can
+Jordan Keeble They were £59.99 i believe, much better over stock :D Yeah the scorpion is full system and the down pipe is wider than stock pipe, only by a few mm.
Okay thanks I've looked at different options are the leavers worth the money and easy fit?, sorry for all questions not very often you find someone with an mt who replies! Okay thata not to bad I may spend the money and get a full system then!
+Jordan Keeble They are yes, can you change the reach of the levers which is good if you have smaller hands as I found that slow riding wasn't easy on this bike but it is now and they were very easy to fit, just had to adjust the clutch play. No problem, here to help anytime :)
what gloves are those dude
They are ARMR Moto SHL225 :D
+BigBenMotoVlogs thanks bro
kirbdan123 Anytime dude!
Lol I only have enough money for the license but not enough for a MT😕
Oh dear that sucks :(
hey there i'm 5 foot 8 is this bike okay for me?
Its a tall bike, i could nearly flat foot it on both sides and i'm 5'10 so you may be on tip toes
Yeah I thought it might be a bit high for me but you only need to put 1 foot down though
Andrew Gardiner very true, one foot is fine :P
usually i'd think 4 grand is too much for a 125 but yamaha are doing 3 years 0% finance on it at the moment so might go and get it
Andrew Gardiner It defiantly worth it! You get what you pay for. Thats good deal they are doing, wish mine was 0% when i bought it :P
28mph in a 20 zone, naughty
+Ryan Ridout At least you watched the whole video to find that out, thank you ;-)
Think the law dictates 10% plus 3 so only 3 mph over the legal limit ... not that naughty lol
I've been told by people you can reach 86 on it,but you said 81 is top end?
It probably can but you would have to have perfect conditions (no wind, smooth road ect) and quite a light person on it which i am not :P
this or KTM duke 125?
+Nazgûl Hard decision. KTM is lighter and smaller than the MT. HP and torque are same on both. Both bikes are so good for 125s!
Yeh. I can get the KTM cheaper used too. And I'd love the Yamaha mt-07/09 as my first big bike so I might go with something different for my first motorbike
+Nazgûl They are a good price at the moment. I wanted to buy the this bike new so thats one of the reasons i went with it. The dealer didn't have a great deal of second hand 125s, mainly yamaha. MT07 i will probably be getting next year when i to my full licence.
+Nazgûl the Duke hasn't got great reviews, the yamaha seems to be built better and just be more reliable.
toby coates yeh I read around a few forums and a lot of people say their duke 125 has loads of problems. I must just get a yamaha YBR 125 and do my DAS in 6 or so months then get a 600cc
Lol you sound like Homer
Good Video, But, you're 5'10" and you have to 'Tip Toe' due to the seat height?, Seriously??
Big ben how bigs ya cok then ben. Isnt a 125 abit small for such big balls though or you so big nothing to prove so 125 is all you need? Im intrigued as a little guy can i relate or not.
