    nice man and as you no they are grate bikes and after almost selling mine six months ago i think im going to keep it for as long as i can il just use it as a second bike its so cheap to run its grate and mine is pretty much same shape as yours still looks good mine was a year old 1 march i did not make a vide as i had not long done the 6k review and kind sed it there and look forwerd to meeting you on the 19th for the awesome sauce meet :)

      +Mazerbigone I wish i could keep her along side my mt07 but just haven't got the space. Maybe down the line, i will consider getting one again :D Milage reviews on your bike would make more sense anyway as you do a good few miles than me, just getting to 4250! Looking forward to meeting you as well mate, been coming up to a year subbed to each other and still not met! :P

      +BigBenMotoVlogs ya man it's a shame but you are getting a bigger better bike and I almost done 7k now on mine and I like to do the miles review just because it lets people no how good the bike holds up because like you mine is out in all wether and ya we have been subs almost a year that's gone fast to 👍

    Very good video. I'm saving up for this bike as I have my CBT on Saturday. Was going to go for a CBR 2007 for my first but then seen this.. at the min I've seen them for 2500 now on private selling sites.. well worth the extra 1k! Can I ask what is the insurance and tax like in the first year on the road.. I'm 25. Cheers
    Tim

      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Timmyturnridge91 Living The mt is definitely the better bike. My insurance was £14 per month or £168 per year so really cheap with 2 years no claims so may be a touch more if your a new rider and £17 per year tax 👍

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good choice! Yeah just filled it in with a tyre pen, simple and cheap but goes well with the look. This exhaust is a cheap universal one from china, only £40 but you need to cut the stock muffler off. If you want to get a full exhaust system, look on ebay for black widow, currently the cheapest system you can get with an amazing sound! Thank you

    Just swapped my 650 kawaski for one of these . Due in two days, You don't need a big bike unless you plan riding very long distances.n They big ones use loads of juice and you are always filling up, unlioke the 125 Duke I had pre test. Back to 125s for me ,more fun ,much cheaper.

      Exactly what I think. Everyone tells me I'll want to switch in future. But for me I think it will be enough. Very economical and has more than enough power for city riding.

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Short steep hills are fine as it has plenty of torque in lower rpm but on long steep hills the power dips and dips, so you have to keep shifting down gears

    Hi, I have an MT125 myself and I'm getting pretty bored of the sound from the stock exhaust so I checked out your Akrapovic Universal Exhaust however you said your exhaust cost £50 yet I can only find them for £350? Did you do a video on this exhaust?

      Sorry for the late reply.
      Insurance will depend on where you are living and how long you have been riding. I think my insurance was roughly £16 a month and fuel was roughly £15 for a full tank, would last 150-180 miles

      @@C0d0ps Not sure how it works in Sweden, in the UK you have to be 17 and over to ride a 125cc with a CBT. Age ranges work over here too, normally the older you are the cheaper your insurances gets.

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you press the brake to hard with abs, it will release and reapply the brake to stop the skid, its a weird feeling :P With a non-abs, the rear wheel can lock up easy if you press hard. You could probably lock it up with difficulty

      +BigBenMotoVlogs the stock one dose look nice just a shame it's not that loud I've seen some people drilling holes in them but I'm not sure how that would affect the bike

    I've seen multiple videos saying that the bike is quite tall and that for anyone that is short, will need to lower the bike. Do you know roughly how tall a person should be for this bike as a random guess?

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tomh0124 It is tall, the seat is higher than the mt07! You can get a lowering kit from eBay if needed. I'm 5'10, i can nearly flat foot both feet but not comfortable so i'm on the front of my foot instead. I would say around 6'0 and they should be fine

    • @tomh0124
      @tomh0124 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much. I guess i'll need to buy a lowering kit then as i'm 5ft8/9 so. Are the lowering kits easy to use and if so, do they change any specs of the bike? Do they make the bike any worse?

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tomh0124 You should be ok but it would be easier with the kit. Looking on ebay, it a 30min job and you only need basic tools, sounds pretty simple. It lowers the ride height from 810mm to 780mm. It shouldn't change the way the bike preforms at all, its a recommend modification and has great reviews.

    • @BigBenMotoVlogsUK
      @BigBenMotoVlogsUK  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tomh0124 It also says on there "A lowering kit also increases high speed stability and improves rear wheel traction." Sounds like it would improve the bike! Link: www.lustracing.co.uk/suspension/yamaha-mt125-lowering-kits.html
