Aaron is the most down to earth dude on the scene. He genuinely appreciates his fans and is a total geek. I was one of 3 people at a vip meet and greet and he is super easy to talk to. Easily my favorite artist in the progressive scene from a personality standpoint
Love they way how Aaron started from the import models. As an Indonesian, super proud that he went for an Indonesia made guitars and trusts it. Can't wait to get my hands on one someday! Let's go Aaron!
My Indonesian Strandberg was 20 times better made than the Korean Strandberg I had! The Korean was sooo badly made for that much money. Painted by a toddler...
Been waiting for this one, Aaron is such a great player and I love that he embraces a mix of old & new while constantly trying to level up the music and the show 👏🏻
I think Aaron deserves his own series on this channel! He's such a nice guy and explains perfectly all the details about everything, like a true professor!
I like this interview 'cause you're generally interested in what he's saying. Aaron always sounds much better when an interview doesn't have to be a quick one. People shouldn't want an in depth interview with him and want it done quickly (like within 5-10 minutes). With those, he sounds like he's being rushed to answer a lot of questions by the interviewer needing the answers in a very short way. People can get a great interview with Aaron if they don't want a ton of questions answered in a short amount of time or give him enough time to answer a lot of questions. They might think that a 10 minute video is already way too long. If people are wanting to watch an Aaron Marshall interview, they're wanting to hear all he's got to say to for each question. So if the interview is a lot of questions and it's over 10 minutes long (or longer), it doesn't seem that long 'cause it'll end up being a good interview i.m.o. It all depends on the amount of questions an interviewer wants to ask him.
Such a beautiful soul on such a beautiful man. So talented, humble, down to earth and sweet! The way he explains every detail so in depth is just amazing.
After listening to Aaron speak about the GGD IRs during a Beato vid, I grabbed the Cali Oversized Plugin and couldn't be happier with just an upfront 57 as my main go-to all purpose IR. Nollys IRs really are purpose built and as Aaron explains, too many mic options and blends can sometimes lead to issues playing on stage. He's taken the approach, in a live setting, that instead of adding another mic to counter a frequency issue, we subtract it and I love that ideology because it makes sense. Less is more sometimes. Props to Aaron for doing the work for us. Love Intervals 🤘
Aaron is very into how everything in his rig works to get it to perfection. And is great at explaining it. Saw them live on that tour and the sound was mindblowing. Amazing work
Appreciate the heads up so I can start saving for the USA model. The luminlay is a nice touch too. Neither of my USA Schecs have 'em and it's kind of a headache.
I much prefer it when the artist gives us demonstrations of their guitars, amps and pedals with actual playing because at the end of the day it all about sound
His guitar description was awesome. There are gear channels that don't do as good of a job, and I see plenty of artists that can't run through all of the specs in that detail. Kudos!
@@AnthonyJamesB oh yeah. The only thing I would change about the diamond ultra firebird shape guitar. The headstock should be reversed so the low E string is at the top of the headstock. I would imagine the whole guitar would play better. Just a theory...
My Kiesel 8-string is also 3 pieces of wood. 1-piece swamp ash body, quarter sawn maple neck, birdseye maple fingerboard. There is a certain resonance. Makes sense to me. The multi laminate thing is because companies didn’t have enough to make a single guitar. It’s plywood essentially.
So the question is, he uses creambacks and V30s in those cabs but he still uses irs??? Interesting Aaron and me got the same midnight blue mexican made strat for our first guitars :) mine was rosewood fretboard tho.
With modern multi-fx units like Quad Cortex or Helix, you can set up parallel effects chains that can output different things to different... well, outputs. So in the case of Aaron, he likely sends a signal chain without a cab sim via one output to a power amp and regular cab for his stage volume. A different output with the same signal chain + the IR is given to the front-of-house guy to run it through PA and that's what the audience hears. So to put it simply he doesn't use IRs with the real cabs, but the PA signal has IRs included.
@@boarderking133 there’s no question in regards to the convenience factor. I just miss the days when there were actual “rigs” in these Rig Rundowns…where’s Ian Malcolm when you need him?
That routing for the NDSP QC sounds like a nightmare. I suspect they offered him some money to switch over from Fractal. He even says himself that they all sound good and Neural approached him. If there weren’t an incentive why change and spend all that time / money getting the new rig to work the way you want it to?
I guess this guy didn’t watch the video of that guy making a guitar with no neck or body just the pickups and electronics from an Andersen guitar ! It sounds just like his guitar. Identical. This guys are so guitarded! He balanced the tone woods. Get the hell out with this crap and bullshit !
I have watched a lot of rig rundowns and almost everyone is telling this bs about woods, tone, micro differences with type of paint/paper thin top etc. We expect an experienced opinion from musicians that do their thing professionally for 10-40 years. And all we hear: a bunch of myths and nonsence. There are 2 possible explanations: 1) part of their endorsement is a need to lie about all this; 2) They actually believe in "grandpa's myths" and don't even bother to check it. The only thing I can see as a result: don't ever believe anyone that says something without a proof and check it by yourself. In an era when people are building tons of guitars from everything they see so that these guitars magically sound exactly the same as ultra rare wood combinations - to believe in tonewood is just stupid.. P.S. Neck from roasted dog's poo has more resonance than maple! :D
@@LandsOfDespair absolutely. They don’t understand how an electro magnetic pickup works. People say 60’s rosewood Strats sound different than maple. Yes but because when they went to rosewood they changed the tone caps and they went from black bottom pickups to grey. People are as I say guitarded. More professional players they are more guitarded they are.👍🤝
This is probably the worst Rig Rundown ever. Aron does not really reveal much, but just keeps on an a repetitive and superficial sales speech for Schecter. Of cause it is the basic premise for the show, but here it is too much, too long and too uninformative.

This guy is really into gear, like really into it.
The fact that he wanted a guitar his fans could afford is incredibly admirable.

As a QC user, this is MASSIVELY helpful when talking about IRs. Cheers Aaron, and Cheers PG!!!
Such a beautiful soul on such a beautiful man. So talented, humble, down to earth and sweet! The way he explains every detail so in depth is just amazing.
This man has the sickest riffs. Along with CHON my two fav modern bands.

Proud to say this absolute legend signed my guitar in KC last week
He looks so much like my brother in law who passed away three years ago. Every time I see Aaron, I am reminded. Love this dude though
Will have this guitar in a couple of days. So excited!!
Aaron rules, saw intervals in Boston in December and it was amazing. Can’t wait to see them again in the spring
In love with Aarons energy and love for this stuff
Professor Marshall is back! Class is in session.
That is how you design a signature model, starting with a model for the majority of players with normal budgets. I think it’s gonna be a success 👍
Schecter, esp and prs have all gotten it right imo. Love the body types.
So excited to see him live
Great job interviewing!
i‘ve been praying about the importance of cabs and IRs since i got interested in homerecording in 2014. there‘s more than 80% of your tone in it!
Eh, more like 77.5
This is all great, but I need an ID on the boots
Appreciate the heads up so I can start saving for the USA model. The luminlay is a nice touch too. Neither of my USA Schecs have 'em and it's kind of a headache.

Very well spoken and explained. Great video! Smart dude
THRICE BABY!!! If you go on tour with them I’m there for a double value hahahaha
Cab discussion was super useful.
Love that he giggled at himself for the ONE slightly off note in the intro.
You pass the salesman test.

Awesome great lnterview great guitar 🎸
You guys should do a rig rundown for for KING and country
Every rig rundown needs sound samples !
I have no idea what Aaron's talking about but it's sounds good
Awesome player. Wish he would’ve played more tho. Demo all his sounds. I was dying to hear more guitar.
ngl I finally got to play his wig schecter in a store earlier and they knocked it out of the park. I’d gladly buy one
*sig
Great specs on the guitars Aaron!!!
Jacob Umansky please :)
Just saw intervals, so I had to say it
Class act
My first good guitar was a midnight blue mexican strat with a maple board, too. He's right, it was purple.
Stilllllll wondering when I can buy one of these guitars…
Ya you can get a good tone out of most amp heads but the speaker is the most important part. Mesa standard v30 is the way to go all day
When are companies going to start to put Vega trems on their guitars? I love the gotoh 510 but the Vega trem has more play
Amazing
I've never seen myself playing a schecter but this may change my mind. Great stuff
They've really stepped up their game in the last 7 or 8 years.
Schecter diamond series ultra. damn good guitar
Schecter makes great guitars. Probably the most consistent big brand today.
@@AnthonyJamesB oh yeah. The only thing I would change about the diamond ultra firebird shape guitar. The headstock should be reversed so the low E string is at the top of the headstock. I would imagine the whole guitar would play better. Just a theory...
I got a schecter in 2016. Newer neck and the 26.5 scale really makes a huge difference on 7 string.
And I....bought them both 😅
Those Revv cabs are sweet!
In the market for a 7 and this seems really great if it also has a 5 way. Hope it comes in the green finish too though.
Any info on what's the fingerboard radius on schecter?
No rundown for Travis Levrier?
Great rundown with a genuine guy. I know this is about guitar gear, but where did Aaron get those cool “Boba Fett” styled pants? I need a pair🤘🏼
Dang... snuck that little F* bomb in there towards the end lol.
How about the one at 1:15? 🤔
'hopefully the beginning of things not going to change'
*a month later is using the axe fx 3 again*
The quad still sounded great. He’s used to the Axe.
These guitars are killer spec. Schecter needs to cough up a release date already!
A-aron seems like a nice dude
Let's Gooooo

Someone loves the cola. A good player. But that nose candy will wear you down.

There is no info anywhere on does pickups r they high output pickups ???
Duuuude Aaron Marshall x Schecter !!!!
Also turning into my favorite canadian, after Nickelback of course:-7
Pleeeeeaaaase ANYTHING besides AxeFx/Kemper/Quad Cortex.
A few moments later…
*SIGH* it’s just the times we live in, I guess.
Why? They sound good and it's way easier to lug around shows

Please let’s talk about those amazing cargo pants
TAKE..MY...MONEY!!!
I just wanna know the neck radius 😭
🤯
Schecter please let me buy this 7 without waiting a year.
Need to know the cargo pants and kicks tho
how is he powering this board? that chioks psu isnt doing all that...
he needs to lay of the coffee.
Who in their right mind would stop playing Mayones guitars to start playing schecter? Also he seems to be trying to sell it really hard.
He literally explained why.
They paid you, you sell their guitars. We get it.
This dude talks more like the Schecter PR team than a working musician
yeah, i'm out of breath.
The pants in this episode…woof. Otherwise, awesome stuff
I will never understand that fashion 🤣
We all hear Jeff Loomis's story with schecter. I think Mayones is much better than it.
*sniff*
Wow this guy speaks too fast.
Aaron is too 3 guitarists for me. I want to see him on rick beatos channel with Tim Henson and tosin abasi
I’m sure you know he’s already done a Rick Beato with the quad. It sounds great. It’s a longer interview and he plays a bit more.

Lamest rundown I've seen and I've seen a lot of them.
