One of my favorite episodes! It's based on the Richard Matheson short story "Disappearing Act". Rod Serling changed the characters to astronauts for the 1960's audience..
If you want to see the darkest, scariest TZ eps., I recommend The Hitch Hiker, The Purple Testament, The Grave, It's a Good Life, Nightmare at 20000 Feet, The Masks, etc.
That is his mouth. Snagglepuss is an example. It's a character, and the name has to do with his mouth and teeth being a mess. That's why his name is also Snaggletooth. Y'all should check out the 80s Twilight Zone episodes, too. Please fix the audio, because your voices are so loud that they're distorted, and the show's volume is pretty low.
This is one of the creepiest, disturbing TZ episodes of all time. You know what makes it so unsettling? There's no explanation of WHY this "disappearing from human memory" is happening. It's the purest form of cold-blooded mystery.
The late Rod Taylor turns in an outstanding performance.

The role of a USAF nurse is played by Sue Randall, who also was a semi regular on 'Leave It To Beaver'.

Been watching twilight zone for over 40 yrs and I never saw this one.
why are you so obsessed with the girl in the bar?
Lol.
Creepy
This story would make for a good movie poster.
'Amy'..is Col. Forbes girlfriend not his wife. Look at her 'ring finger'. 🤷🏾♂️
Lol.
I've loved TZ since I was a kid and this episode is in my top 5. As a kid TZ never scared me, but it sure made me think.
