I got stretch marks in middle school because I had really quick growth spurts and apparently most of the girls in my gym class didn’t know what they were, so on top of being teased about my back brace for scoliosis, I also got teased about my stretch marks. I got more in each of my pregnancies, but it took me a long time to come to accept them because of the teasing. Always teach your kids about stretch marks. You can’t avoid them, especially if people you are related to got them.
Yeah, stretch marks are interesting. I've always been pretty much fine with mine since puberty but they were only on my hips, plus my mom knew they were inevitable so she never commented on mine. However, they've recently turned red as I've gained weight this year and I'm both fascinated and a little bit insecure. I'm just glad they appeared in fall, because I'll have like 6 months to get used to them before I need to put on a swimsuit!
Get a hatch light and set it to green when she can get up out of her room. This is what I’ve been doing with my twins since we swapped beds and still do at 6yo. Granted they can get up to use potty or whatever but they go back to their bed until the green light is on. Saves many mornings trust me.

For almost a decade, I thought I was very against pregnancy, but after recovering from years of depression and eating disorders, I realized it's something I want. I'm unsure if I'd have reached this conclusion if I didn't have positive role models like yourself who show the realities and joys of motherhood (because I thought it was all terrible). So, thank you for being so transparent; it helped me realize I want to be a mom, too.
I am currently going through my first miscarriage at 9 weeks and I can’t help but feel encouraged watching you glow in that pregnancy. It fills me with joy knowing it will happen again. Things are looking tough now, but I appreciate your honestly and vulnerability in your past miscarriages. It brought me comfort ❤️
Don’t let the thoughts of not doing enough get to you. I’m sure growing another human puts a lot on your body. Then Grace is in her exploring and helpful age. So rest when you can. We’ll be here waiting for the videos.
8:35 So true about stretch marks! They also aren’t only pregnancy related or even for adults! I got stretch marks on the back of my knees when I was around 11. Not really sure what the cause was, but it was likely either growing fast or the fact I was a figure skater! I also got stretch marks during puberty EVERYWHERE! Hips, boobs, stomach, butt. Some people are just more susceptible to them! 😁

Something my friend did to deal with the depression-ish is when doing your to-do list, make sure to separate it by like ‘needs to be done’ 1-3 items ‘would like if I could get this done’ again 1-2 items, and ‘would be even better if I can get this done but it’s no way near urgent’ 1 item. Of course the amount of items could vary depending on how many things you have to do, but that helped her stop and rethink about how she feels because if she crossed off the ‘needs to be done’ list, then she did her job for that day!!
It’s just so cool knowing that we are both at the same place in our pregnancy! I turned 18 weeks yesterday and I’m feeling many of the same symptoms. I’m also having a girl, however this is our first 😊 Thanks for the updates!!
Look into prenatal chiropractic for the back pain! Heat and stretching can also help. I have chronic back pain, and also had sciatica with my pregnancy. Sending lots of love!!
I’ve been watching you for about 8 years! And it’s crazy to see us both growing up together haha! I also have a toddler (3) and I’m currently pregnant (15 wks) so is just fun to see someone going through these same stages as me!🥰
It's so interesting to me how recommendations for pregnant women can vary so much in different countries. I live in a scandinavian country and it is really common to take ice baths and then warm up in the sauna. According to my midwife there is no recommendations against using a sauna or taking hot baths when pregnant, she just suggested I make sure to drink lots of water and step outside the sauna/hot tub if I started to feel too hot. Still, I can understand wanting to be extra careful and follow the recommendations you get from your ogbyn/widwife.

Im 17 weeks pregnant with our 4th! I think I've told you this before but I was pregnant at the same time as you with my 3rd when you were pregnant with Grace❤ We have 3 girls and just found out we're having our boy!💙 so neat to being going through this literally at the same exact time again🥰
I also hate coming back from daylight savings time! it would be cute if you set up some lights in the backyard so Grace can still play outside in the evening!
Girl! Take your hot baths!! They will not be damaging to your baby at all. A hot bath will not increase your body temp much and not for a prolonged time. Most have the flu or some fever during pregnancy anyway and it's no problem at all. I had no less than three sinus infections with high fevers in my last pregnancy and baby is completely healthy! He is 3months now ❤
So actually regardless of Daylight saving times the sun would set sooner and you actually feel it more. Beginning in fall and ending at the winter solstice we lose a minute of sunlight everyday. So that’s about an hour and 1/2 if not 2 hours. Sooo…
So glad you're talking about your Helix mattress again! We bought one a few months ago (also Midnight Luxe, love it so freaking much), and we're still struggling to find fitted sheets that reach all the way around the tall mattress. Any suggestions? 😴

Sierra, love, please try yoga for the back pain! I think there are specific pregnancy classes you can try. Also, organic Raspberry Leaf tea is strongly recommended for pregnant women & women who are menstruating, (ladies for real, I switched to the tea and I'm off of Tylenol & ibuprofen completely)
Im a natural small frame person so when i got pregnant with my daughter by the end it looked like i qas smugging a yoga ball everywhere. But stretch marks dont run in my damily none of the women in my family got them everyone i knew would ask how i stopped them from coming all the pregnant moms around me wanted my secrets. But it really is just genetics most people didnt believe me
