@@madsss133 you mean you wish you had home videos of personal moments of your family? Like normal people do? Like people who don’t sell their children’s childhood to strangers and advertisers?
I love your debrief near the end of the vlog! My therapist told me about how our infant memories are still in our minds, but we just can't... view them? Properly? But our bodies and brains still remember them in their own way, and Grace will still hold on to the joy from these memories, even if she doesn't understand it. I love watching the wonderful way you parent her, it makes my heart so warm, and thank you for sharing with us!
i am a 65 year old lady. i knew i was never meant to have children. never really liked them. i got my tubes tied when i was 27. that being said, i absolutely adore your girl grace. she is a doll. i just wanted you know that she has converted this old lady to one who loves her. that little ha ha she does with stephen when he is on the stairs is priceless
Just wanted to say - you are killing it as a mom Sierra. Been following you for many years and couldn’t be prouder of you and all of your accomplishments. You and Grace keep shining your bright lights in this world ❤️ god bless you.
Never been interested in having kids of my own, but watching Grace become her own little person over the last year has been so much more fun than I ever imagined! 😊
This is absolutely precious!! Sweet memories that will last a lifetime for the both of you. Even if Grace doesn’t remember the specifics, she will remember how loved she felt 🥹 There is nothing like Disney.
I know that you’re literally her mom but I love how well you understand Grace and make sure she knows she’s being understood and that what she has to say is important!
I literally started crying when Grace was SO excited about seeing all of the characters at dinner. Since having my son these types of moments just make me tear up, always!
I also agree about bringing babies and toddlers to Disney. I bring my 14 month old girl to Disney world all the time (we are local) and it’s so fun. She might not remember but I will 😊
I do not mean this as criticism to you because if I could afford Disney more often I would definitely take advantage of it too! But I think when a lot of people say taking a child that young to Disney is a waste, they are the type of people who can only make a Disney trip possibly once in their child’s lifetime. So they want to wait until they can remember it better. At least that is the experience I had and know is true for others too. But like I said, if I could I would definitely go often! I think kids (and adults) can enjoy Disney for various reasons at all different ages!
That's somewhat true. At the same time, in my experience, my parents have decided to postpone trips/experiences because either my sister or I were "too young to enjoy it to the fullest" and because of circumstances we never ended up doing them and they regretted it. At the same time, they decided to bring me to Disneyland Paris anyway when I was about Grace's age. I don't remember it but they really cherished those memories. And I think if they had let themselves not feel held back by having kids, they would have turned out less bitter and better parents in the long run. So that's something to also take into account in my opinion
@@__sara__. I do think that’s a good point. Not all of the experience has to be just for the kids sake, the parents should enjoy the experience of getting to take them too! I think it’s just so hard for a lot of parents to get out of that mindset when it’s a trip many have to save years for.
Def agree. I just looked into a weekend stay for 2 adults and 3 kids, 3 day park ticket, and that was almost 2k. Then take in food costs, travel. It’s expensive
I absolutely loved this vlog. I am currently pregnant and watching all the Disney with your little ones vlogs and you just made me so excited for when I bring my little one. Getting to see you two together and the excitement in both of you just made me smile the whole video. Everyone tells me to wait to take my kid to Disney but I agree in the moment getting to see the joy in them and capturing these moments for her to look back on is more then enough of me. Thank you for allowing us to see how your trip went you really made me so excited!!
as someone who studies development psychology, I've always disliked the "they're not going to remember it, so why do it?" rhetoric because ages 0-3 are still integral to development regardless of whether the child remembers that stage or not. while grace may not remember her interactions with characters and cast members, she'll always remember your encouragement of her and the undivided attention you give her in those moments and that will set your relationship up to what it will be in the future. these moments are IMPORTANT. I hope you both enjoy them!
Do ALL THE THINGS with Grace. I took my daughter to Disney for our first time at 18m. She grew sooo much in that week. It’s an experience. Live life and enjoy it. You’re doing a great job, Mama!
I agree that this is a great age for Disney. The early Toddler years have always been a favorite of mine. Kids are so interested in everything and excited, and they love to learn and can communicate pretty well, but they haven’t yet gotten to the stubbornness that comes with the terrible twos. For the voice: Harney and Sons hot Cinnamon Sunset tea plus a spoon full of orange blossom honey stirred in. It’s my go to for voice and throat issues.
responding to an older video, remember when grace was born, you couldn't believe the depth of love you had? same with child 2. you won't believe how your heart expands even further to love them just as much. same with any subsequent kids, it's just magical. do it in your own time, tho, no pressure here!! lol
JOY. a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. Sierra you bring this not only to your daughter and family but to all of us. Thank you for sharing these moments.
I HATE when people say “it’s a waste they won’t remember it”. Sure, she won’t remember a play by play. But she will remember the bond you’re building with her, and that lasts a lifetime. Plus, we all have random memories as children that our parents are shocked we remember. I vividly remember a hurricane when I was little, and how we had to prepare the house for the storm, I can recount every detail. When I told my parents that, they were shocked because I was only 18months old. You never know what’s going to stick!
I think most people say don’t bring your young kids to Disney because they won’t remember it because most people can only afford to bring their kids to Disney once during their whole childhood, if at all
I think the idea of bringing your kids to Disney when they're a bit older is more from families that will probably only have the opportunity to go once or twice in their lifetimes so they want to make sure it's something their kids remember. But it makes perfect sense for you to be taking Grace, you're both having a great time!
This was the sweetest and purest thing ever! This was so magical! The only time I went to Disney I was 4 and I remember majority of it. I know she will cherish it the vlogs when she’s older. After a really tough day, this was the best and happiest thing to watch! I love watching the Disney magic through your guys eyes 💗🎄
I have DID, so while my experiences are the result of horrific things, I want to assure you that Gracie will remember. I can consciously remember moments of being a baby, even younger than her. She might not be able to consciously recall these experiences, but the implicit memories will live within her for the rest of her life and inform so much of how she navigates her daily life.
The way you and Steven are with Grace is almost identical to how my sister and brother in law are with my nieces and they’re the best ever! I can tell Grace is soooo much like them! My husband and I always say if we have kids we want to do whatever my sister and brother in law do and now I say I want to do what you do too!
If Grace enjoyed the story times at the hotel you should consider getting a Tonies box. It's a little speaker that you put little toys on the top and the toys tell a story through the speaker with songs etc too. My little brother loves his.
Not a waste at all! Disney magic is so special. I just got back from our annual trip with my two girls (5 yrs and 14 months). I absolutely love seeing the parks through their eyes. Even if they won’t remember, I will! ❤❤❤
If we lived nearby I would definitely take our son to Disney at this age. Also, yes, she statistically won't remember all of it, but my earliest memory is from about that age and its a bad one, so you may as well give her good experiences because she may very well remember them and that way she'll have something happy to look back on!
Grace is so sweet and you’re spirit is just lovely! I’m having a mommy and me Disneyland trip with my daughter in April for my birthday. She’ll be 20 mths by then and this video just made me even more excited! 🖤
Aw i just love this vlog. You are an amazing mother. 👏 I take my baby girl who is almost the same age as Grace to places solo as my hubby works away alot. And it is truly special. Watching you take her on such a huge trip warms my heart. Just amazing!!!
When my little girl was 18months we took her to a gruffalo world (her absolute favourite thing) so many people told me not to waste my money as she'd forget about it within a week, but it was honestly our favourite trip and totally worth it! 6month on and she still asks to go back and to look at the photos, never underestimate those little minds! While I know they likely will forget at some point they'll never forget how much they were loved and the love they have for their favourite things 🥰
omg i had that same princess dress as a kid and i loved it so much that my parents bought two so they could wash one! grace is adorable in it and you two are so cute in disney together
This vlog was so wholesome and lovely to watch! My little heart was bursting as watching you both have such fun! Such a lovely bond you and grace have too, ❤
You are an amazing mom. I am a mom of 4 and I would love if you would talk about MOM Confidence. Being able to take a trip solo with a toddler and how to let go of perfection and embrace the energy and flexibility children give a situation.
Love your videos, Sierra! Since the pandemic I started watching TH-cam. I have been a fan of you and your channel ever since! Rooting for you and your family always!! 🥰
i love your videos! i’m so happy to see new videos and it’s brightens my day. thank you for spending time filming and editing videos for us! you are such a great mom and wife and you set such a great example to the audience! much love ❤
I agree with you Sierra about bringing younger kids to Disneyland/world. My parents waited until I was 12, my little sister 9 and by that time it just wasn’t the same in a sense that I knew the characters weren’t real and my mom still wanted me to take photos with all of them. lol The rides were fun, but now that I’m 30, I honestly don’t really remember much anyway. I have like 2 snippets of memories from my time at Disney world and I was 12, so honestly bring your child at any age! 😂
The comment about Grace being the perfect age is what my mom said about my first trip to Disney when I was 3 and my brother was 1. We wouldn't remember it but that trip was really for her to see the joy and wonder in our eyes at every ride and meet and greet. I cannot wait to take my first kid to Disney World 🥰. I want to go more often but if I need to limit our experiences, I want to take my kids when they are under 2, 5, 10, 15, and 21 :)
We’ve been taking our daughter to Disneyland since she was 1, it’s so amazing to see them have fun it truly makes our trip worth it! We will be celebrating her 3rd birthday next month and will be staying at the Disneyland hotel as well!!
I took my 3 year olds to Disney and they had the best week of their lives! They also see mickey as mickey and not some creepy dude dressed up! They still remember bits and bobs of it and honestly me and my husband have our memories!!!!!
Am I the only one who sang "TELL THE GUARDS TO OPEN UP THE GATES" When she said yay they're opening the gates?!... No.. OK I'll just sing to myself. Carry on! 😂
We took our two year old cousin to meet the fairies in pixie hollow in fantasy land by small world and she loved it ! I love how excited she was for everything , grace is so cute !
We took my little one at just before a year, and then at 21 months, and 21 months was honestly so perfect! He was so excited and loved meeting characters, but actually understood standing in line, which he hadn’t at 12 months, and that was tough! We’re taking him again this spring when he’ll be about 2.5 and I can’t wait for that!
So I get that it would be a great age to take your child but the issue is if u can do DL more then once for how expensive it is. So waiting till they are older makes it more worth the expense.
if you have Disney land or any theme park nearby, it is good to take your kids as often as you can because they will grow up with it and remember it better than starting to take them at age 6 or so...frequency is the best
I’m curious how the next day was and if she was very overtired? Or did she adjust ok? I have 3 littles and I am always weary of keeping them out late for the next day behaviour.
I'm taking my daughter on Thursday with my toddler and I'm looking forward to seeing the tips! We live only 30 minutes away and I plan to take her back for her birthday next month so we might not stay as long
The Disney vlogs are always my favorites, but they make me SO emo 🥹 I'm a former CM, and I wish I didn't love the Midwest so much, otherwise I would move somewhere closer to justify being a passholder 😂
This video made me excited to take my toddler! 😃 We last went when he was 8 months and it was super easy. He’ll be 20 months when we go next so it will be a different experience.
Next time, if she has trouble napping, try taking her on the train. I took my niece about a month ago, we rode it around for about 45 minutes, and it was perfect.
the sweetest thing is that one day grace won’t remember this trip but she will watch these videos and see how incredibly loved she is😭
😭 that’s the sweetest thought
Unless she’s unhappy so much of her childhood, no matter if it’s the highlight reel or not, is online for strangers to watch.

This video made me excited to take my toddler! 😃 We last went when he was 8 months and it was super easy. He’ll be 20 months when we go next so it will be a different experience.
I think Grace looks so much like Uncle Austin. So Cute 💗
Next time, if she has trouble napping, try taking her on the train. I took my niece about a month ago, we rode it around for about 45 minutes, and it was perfect.
What a beautiful day for you guys!! ❤
Sierra! I am going to Disney this week and your Disney vlogs have been the best way to get me so excited!!
