  • Had long planned to design and build an electric lap steel guitar. However, I wanted to be able to play minor harmonies on it and the typical pedal steel guitar sounds would be great too!
    After some searching I came across the Multibender from Duesenberg (advertising!!!). The rest of the guitar I gradually developed around the Multibender.

    Im fixin to build the same style lap steel you have here, i have been toying around with the idea of doing the 2 knob 1 flip switch like my tele, and after seeing your lap steel here i really like it. Good Job...do you have any pictures whit it painted or stained and with the fret board installed, i would love to see it.

    Beautiful instrument. What wood did you use?

      Hi Kevin, for the upper part I used beech wood. The body is made of spruce. Meanwhile, I added a rosewood fingerboard for better orientation. However, I share the opinion that the type of wood does not significantly affect the sound of electric guitars.

    did you keep it 25.5" scale?
