he isn't the fastest when it comes to going in a straight line but because donkey is a floating character, it is very easy to keep momentum especially when jumping. So in the end donkey ends up being the fastest just because of momentum after turns and stalling blue boosts. Oh and the camera is further away so it is easier to see.
@@zegaskazama5980 for floaty characters, princess fiona has the same stats as donkey. Gingy is the fastest character in terms of just pure speed. Gingy accelerates a bit slowly but it is the fastest according to my tests.
