Similar things are already out there. The device in this video seems to be an offbrand version of the Thermomix by Vorwerk that will cost u 1,2k. Lidl created a cheaper version called the monsieur cuisine that retails for about 400 Euros new, but u can get it used for cheaper.
Still have tk be able to clean it though, which will have its issues. It will no doubt immensely simplify things, but if it's that difficult to cook in general, this might not be a total saving grace
Can we get a round of applause for the food team behind the scenes on sorted. They do some amazing work, and I want to make sure they know that they are appreciated as much as the faces we see in every video.
I agree! It'd be lovely to get to know the geniuses behind the curtain. Honestly, as a Spaniard, the paella burrito bothers me much less than smugly pronouncing the *English word* Andalusian as Andaluthththian. Pretentious af.
This kind of machine is perfect for my mom with MS who loves to cook, but can’t slice, chop, knead.. stir for long periods… etc. Having something where she can still cook her own recipes and healthier foods without all of the physical work, is pretty incredible. I’m definitely going to look into a machine like this for her sometime soon. She already uses a bread machine and loves it.
@Dian Jacobs It costs a fortune! - 899€!!! and those who can't afford normal size appartment obviously can't afford such very expensive machine, that is half of a middle or even monthly minimal wage!!!
it costs about as much as two months rent of my very small appartment while i got most of my appliances used on the cheap. So no, most certainly not useful in this situation. at all. I'd have to stop eating for two months to be able to afford it pretty much :D
@@evelinholmes6401 if you can do restaurant and takeaway food two times a week we are not talking about 'budget living in a small flat' lifestyle anymore tho. I am most certainly not eating out two times a week. Try once every two months or something like that.

It is plain stupid to enter a real password you should care about in a TH-cam video, Teams/Zoom/Hangout call. Also, using kids or pet names or something from a dictionary or anything easily guessable is plain stupid. Please use a password manager that generates 20+ character passwords, and please use 2nd factor for your Google, Microsoft and other more important accounts. Better not use SMS a second factor if possible to prevent SIM swapping identity theft. Randomizing the username if possible is not a bad idea either.
"Just a prototype" My family have had our Thermomix for over 20 years. granted no internet connectivity, but the recipes came in book form. Probably made back the investment several times over just in the reduction of wasted food, because leftovers are so easily recycled into tasty soups. My mum even bought the new model a few years ago when she moved out, and my dad kept the old one.
I got the old one from my mom when I moved out and she got a new one with recipes and internet connection. I'm in love with my Thermomix, I can recommend doing Sushi rice in it! But I think that machine will probably be more accurate as they said it could sous vide and I don't think my old one could do that
so you trying to tell, that when you cook without a thermomix you can´t recycle leftovers to soups? well i didn´t know that so i better start wasting more food, since i got no thermomix.
I’ve a tm5 and a tm6. Best investments ever. The tm6 has internet functionality and the large bright screen means my visually impaired child can also use it. If it had voice too it would be perfect!
Might be useful for apartment dwellers, tiny homes, dorm dwellers, RV dwellers etc. I do find it intriguing, as though we are getting a glimpse into a futuristic kitchen.
The company making the gadget should have Ebbers voice the instructions for the British version with normal units of measure and have the nice lady do the American one.
This is a very impressive tool and all, but I don't ever see myself using it. The biggest problem: I don't usually just use one tool in my kitchen. I'll use a foodprocessor here, have something on the boil there, make a quick dipsauce in a bowl, have something else frying, etcetera. If you only have the 21 in one thing, you can only cook one thing at the time. You'll still need all your pans and things on the side. If I have to have pans and other tools on the side regardless, why would I need this 21 in 1 thing? I could see how having a sous vide machine which doubles as a slow cooker could be useful. But I'll still need a seperate blender, I'll still need a seperate scale, etcetera. I'll just buy mysel a few good tools, instead of 1 which tries to do all of the things.
This will be great in some countries. When I was living in Japan I had 1 hob and that was it. Anything else had to be bought as a separate counter top appliance. This would be perfect for someone in that situation.
That's a pretty fair point that i didn't think of Like others have said, and like how the person who responded said, there are kitchens/situations where this is super handy. But i didn't really think about that, you can only really use one thing at a time, so you'd still have to use the rest of your kitchen to make a meal. And if you already have a slow cooker, blender and such, this product does become sorta redundant for most people. I mean, i could never afford it anyway, but yeah that is something i never thought of, soup like things is about the only meal you could make solely in it haha
@@kierancampire Yea its just one of those things. If you live in one of those apartments in a major city, New York, London, Tokyo etc where you basically have 1 small/tiny room for everything then 1 product that takes up minimal space is preferred. In the case of the Japan place the hob is beside the sink and there was 2 under cupboards of space that was all i had for kitchen space. That type of living is common in that country and is also why most things are table top and the majority of dishes only need 1 pot and a rice cooker.
I really appreciate the subtitles so much!!!!! They're always there on like, every sorted video and it's such a relief to press the CC button and not see "English- Auto Generated"
This feels really useful for singular dishes but maybe not for a few courses. Just because you have to clean the same one bot multiple times and need bowl and plates to hold the different elements. But the ability to set temperature and all the different settings seem quite interesting. Now the question is hold it survives over time. Awesome Video guys :-)
I imagine that when it goes on the market, people will have the option of buying a second mixing jug, so you can have one on the go while washing the other (much as people do with multiple kitchenaid stand mixer bowls). But as you say - and as the Indian Feast proved - it isn’t much of a time saver when you’re making multiple dishes or components at once!
We have a smiliar one here called Thermomix. Its a lifesaver. I hated it in the begining because I preffer my food to be cooked by me not by a robot :P But my wife hates cooking with a passion like no other. I started using it and well... its incredible. The part they left out is if you need to lets say steam cook the lamb for 45 minutes you just leave. Go do your thing or cook something different and it will do the melody for you to come back to. I believe it also has a smartphone app dongle that allows you to REMOTELY START IT! :-D I havent checked that up so I might be pulling this one from my buttocks but pottentialy it allows you to coming back from work start a soup or something like that so the moment you come home you have a hot meal waiting for you.
This seems really good for someone who doesn’t enjoy cooking but would still like home cooked food easy. I can’t imagine someone who likes to cook or is a skilled chef would find this enjoyable.
I love that it’s basically a one-pot concept and can complete the cooking for you with the help of manual prep. I can see this being a kitchen assistant while you can focus on preparing other dishes. Level up from a slow cooker/instant pot so I give it 👍👍
Embers does need a counterpart. That is the whole appeal, 3 normals, and 2 full time chefs that can throw new food ideas vs. the normals, as well as test themselves. (But still include our wayward child too)
It looks like a Thermomix with an Android device as the controller. There’s other devices like the Magimix Cook Expert that do similar jobs. The voice I think would get irritating. Updates would be a concern both of the custom system operating it, and security being an always connected internet device.
Aye.. I'd also be concerned with shelf-life. These companies tend to disappear as soon as the investor money runs out, so your very expensive "iBlender" could become a big plasticy brick surprisingly quickly.
That's something I want more info on because it looks like the actual manual settings (which is what they used for everything but the holandaise sauce) should be able to function without an internet connection and I'd be very concerned if it they did because that means they very much want you to always have telemetry with their servers when cooking.
This (or the thing(s) it copies - learn something new every day!) seems like such a cool idea for so many folx with different kinds of disabilities, maybe people in assisted living or other communal living/kitchen situations, or even teaching kids cooking concepts in a class setting (how to weigh things, how things mix together (how emulsification works etc.). Like so many of your reviews, Sorted, thanks for showcasing something unique that could help lots of different folks!
Whenever I see these kinds of things, I'm always impressed by the innovation and I can understand how people could use them and even need them in their kitchen, but from my perspective it kind of takes some of the joy out of cooking? Like, I love moving around, having a few pots going on a stove, stirring and tasting and checking temperature as I go, heck even the cleaning as I go so I can finish up and the kitchen isn't a bomb zone. That might just be me and my social/cultural perception and my personal love for how involved cooking can be, but I could never see myself using something like this machine.
There are people who don't want to stay in the kitchen all day because they have other important work to do or are disabled and can't stand for long. Others hate cooking, others have a very small kitchen and can't buy many kitchen gadets, pots, pans etc. There are lots of good reasons to prefer a smart cooker.
I don't disagree, however for this price it likely would not be bad for the reasons mentioned. However I can only really see it making sense as another said a wedding present or someone moving out who doesn't already have many of these things
@@whinis I'm single and I don't have many cooking gadgets, so I would absolutely use this one if I could afford it. Maybe if I win the lottery someday ^^ ... I suppose I should actually play the lottery in order to win it, right? ;-D
This is pretty awesome. A feature that I'd like to see added to it is being able to go in and say Okay I have eggs, flour, 1lb of leftover hamburger some baked chicken or raw, basically I got a bit here and there and it will search through it's preloaded recipes and show the options you can make.
I think the Thermomix (TM6) has that function, at least in Australia. It can also generate a shopping list then connect to Woolworths so you can order the ingredients you need online. Thermomix is crazy expensive & cult-like though.
Yeah it’s a thermomix clone, it’s cheaper than a brand new model, but for the same price you can pick up an older model thermo with multiple jugs and all the attachments. Bit of a nobrainer imo
I just had a flash of Arnold J. Rimmer meeting his demise while yelling "GASPACHO SOUP!" run through my mind as soon as the first course was named. Let's see if any "Red Dwarf" references/jokes happen. Nope. But, I've completely outed myself as a geek.
I will FOREVER think of Rimmer when I hear about Gazpacho soup. My first thought when they started heating it for the next dish was: "Rimmer was RIGHT!" :P
So basically this is a cheaper version of the "Vorwerk Thermomix". Over here in Germany there are a lot of knockoffs sold in ALDI or LIDL but this one looks more professional.
Lol oh my goodness, I did not know Aldi was a German based store chain. We've had one in my city (it's relatively small and.... recently had trash problems with the water) in Michigan in the US for so long, I thought they were local/regional because they just started opening a few more over the last 7 years around here.
@@adiands850 Never had a TM or one of these knock-offs … but I read a test where they compared these knock-offs with the thermomix. As far as I remember they were OK but more prone to fail because of the cheaper build quality and the motor in the TM is more powerful.
Looks cool, but I see it getting impractical with every dish that requires two components cooked in two different pots, you wold need a good way to keep one warm (and for quite a while, depending on the dish). Also I don't get the novelty aspect, it looks and works just like a Thermomix from Vorwerk, which is so well known here that there are already knockoffs from some supermarkets in-house-brands.
I love how Ben pronunced "Gazpacho" perfectly the first time, and then he tried to correct the pronunciation and he completely botched it 😂 (But thank you for trying to use our pronunciation!)
I own a Thermomix TM6 model, this is pretty much identical except the Thermomix doesn't do the creepy robot voice. Thank you guys for doing an all-in-one cooking machine video. :)
Less than half the price, can go to a higher temp for stir-frying, no subscription charge for recipes. But doesn't come with a specially designed spatula and some of the preset modes of the TM6.
@@bosozoku1000 I have it too. The spatula is a regular one, not like the Thermomix one that is designed to lift out the steam basket. I'm not saying that the Thermo is better in that way though. I'm fine with the little bucket style handle on the steam basket in the Tokit and a regular spatula. One thing I have learned after buying it though is that the Thermo tells you when it reaches temperature in kettle mode when boiling or heating water. No biggie as I have a separate kettle that does that.
Basically this is another Thermomix to take up space on the bench but much cheaper. I've seen similar for about 200 bucks in Aldi I'd rather use a book with the recipe and a gas stove. Just imagine a power blackout halfway through using that gadget. Normal >gadgets
This honestly sounds like the future of home cooking. Maybe i missed it but it would be awesome if they have a companion app for your phone so you can have the recipe while shopping. If they support a community of people creating recipes, they could expand their library immensely within no time at all
Thermomix has the cookidoo app (pay to use) and the Thermomix Recipe Community (free to use), so I'm pretty sure you could just make use of the fact that it's already available 😀
It's not, unless you only enjoy eating one component of a dish at any meal. It can only cook one thing at a time and it still takes significant input from the chef to weigh out and put in the right ingredients at the right time. I cannot find a way to justify the price with those two limitations in mind. If it could automate adding ingredients or something, maybe? I still don't think so though.
@@skilletborne yeah the price is egregious. If they become affordable though u could have several for a full course meal. Im thinking one with a stovetop and oven would be a great addition. I know its a subjective thing but i actually enjoy prepping food. Once u get a routine figured out you could just do a mass prep day and freeze everything. Youve gotta prep no matter what your cooking at home
I am confused. That is basically the same thing as the “Thermomix” we have in Germany 😁 Households here have had it for yeaaars 😁 is that just a german thing??
Yes, it even looks exactly the same down to the inserts and the lid. And Thermomix does have the new update where you have the screen and can download recipes onto it. We still have the old one without the big screen and we've had it for 10 years now or something.
Have a Thermomix TM6 here in Australia. This is just a cheap imitation out of China. I'm also surprised the boys hadn't already tested the Thermomix as it is the ultimate cooking gadget.
Or, if it's like that smoker Glen and Friends (another food/cooking TH-cam channel that's good) tested, it will stop in the middle of whatever process it was doing to perform a system update instead of waiting until the cooking was done and was in standby mode.
Best case scenario that I'm hoping for is that the manual functions (which they mostly used this video) function without an internet connection. At which point it just comes down to an enterprising person to download all the recipes and scribe them to a pdf format and you can just use it entirely offline.
I'd be interested to see a stove-sized unit with multiple additional functions/pots. If you're going to have an all-in-one cooker, it should be a full function replacement for the lower-tech version that already exists.
Can someone explain how this differs from a Thermomix? Something that has been out for years already? Can't ask on the kickstarter because it's for backers only...
Having not yet looked at the Kickstarter, this is basically a thermomix clone. If it doesn’t need a subscription though, that’s a nice difference. It’s also cheaper.
@@ernestryles without a sub is nice but cheaper hmmm. You are asked to be a test person for gen 1 of a product that hasn't been really tested. It's still expensive and compared to a product that has been around for years and years and has a stable company behind it meaning it's not likely to just disappear if this one product won't make it, not sure cheaper is better. I have backed kickstarter projects if it's a new idea because then you can live with the fact that, yeah, it's a bit janky but hopefully it will be a ok product and fulfill that space you have for that thing. But this is for me, a cheaper version of something that's already out there. I agree a thermomix is expensive. But there might be a reason why that is and why not more companies are doing it... (disclaimer, have never used a thermomix but feel there is something missing in this story...)
The issue I have with such gadgets - what happens if internet dies, or even worse, the company goes bust and stops supporting and updating it - and you have a $700 paperweight.
This a million times over is why I like that I learned how to cook the old fashioned way with regular stoves, pots and pans, and other accessories that aren't "smart". I know that smart appliances can be useful and neat, but when it comes to cooking, I prefer to have my eyes, ears, and nose keeping track of what's going on so I know when something is either done, or possibly going horribly wrong instead of relying on some gadget that, like you said, could be a paperweight in a few years.
Right? If samsung has already discontinued the app that is supposed to connect to my 3 year old smart tv.... Why the heck would I trust this much smaller and more niche company to not do the same? I can't stand "smart" appliances, you can barely even be said to own them.
The other issue is that the motor will fail in a year or two, just like every modern food processor and blenders motor fails in a year or two, and then like you said you have a $700 paperweight. It's over priced smart appliance buzzword crap meant to separate stupid rich people who don't actually cook but are willing to spend tons of money on gadgets that'll make cooking at home "so much easier" from their money. You could outfit an entire kitchen with decent to good quality tabletop devices this thing is claiming to replace for half of its asking price and then you'd be able to actually cook a full meal in less time than this thing to boot.
Besides the "smart" functionality, this is just a complete piece of junk that they would happily shit on if they weren't paid to promote it. Absolutely undeserving of a video and really makes me question their credibility with the products shown in their videos.
If the internet dies then the Thermomix can still be used. Vorwerk (Thermomix creator) has been around for 50 years. I see your point about this particular machine though.
I love how Jamie looks over his shoulder to see if Mike has his hand up before arguing with Ebbers. 🤣 There was WAY too much polenta left in that bowl before you put the washing liquid in - at least another serving! 🤔 I think I'd seriously consider buying this if it came on the general market. 😊
My main way of improving it would be to make the blender attachment removable so give more surface area for searing, and include a pressure cooker built into the machine, so it could compete with the Instant Pot. Otherwise seems perfect.
Seeing Kush in small roles in the background in some of these videos feels so nostalgic. Just like James, he started out being in the background and then getting roped into videos. Can't imagine the channel without him now. All the chefs bring in new things and add such different perspectives.
honestly, I'd get that. I don't have the skills, nor the attention span to cook, so having something that does it for me and gives audio reminders for each step is a game changer.
@@MEG4nerd Personally i'd rather have a KitchenAid, even if it has less functionality. In 5 years, this company might go out of business, or might choose to stop supporting the app. If that happens this will stop working and be utterly worthless. At least the KitchenAid will still work. Not to mention the KitchenAid doesn't need to have a wifi connection.
Here in Germany we have the "Thermomix" kitchen appliances from - Vorwerk - The first model Thermomix VKM5 was from 1961 and the latest model TM6 is from 2019. The model TM5 is sold since 2014 and is what many German households prefer before buying a less expensive similar kitchen appliance. You love your Thermomix here in Germany or you don't want to have nothing to do with a Maschine like this. The new Thermomix model TM6 will cost you 1370 € and you can buy this directly by the manufacturer or a Thermomix representative. What the manufacturer Vorwerk likes to do is get in contact with you when you want to purchase a Thermomix, so you can have a "cooking Thermomix party" for your friends and family. Maybe he/she can sell more than one. I do not like kitchen appliances like this, because I like to cook and I don't feel like I'm cooking with this "Maschine".
As a Spaniard, my thought process when seeing them make Gazpacho went a bit like: - Hmm, let's see how they do, I hope they don't destroy it - Ooh, it looks good (a bit more tomato can be used, but that's depending on tastes) - Nice, they respected the recipe, that's great. Let's see the other dishes. - WAIT WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THE POOR GAZPACHO?? WHY ARE THERE MEATBALLS IN IT??
I can imagine this would be handy in a apartment or dorm without stove/oven and room for multiple appliances. But otherwise i feel like it doesn't do much for you if you already have a stove oven and blender. Maybe if you have some type off handicap/dissability this could be of use.
I totally would have considered this one if I’d come across it when I was looking for one. I went with the Magimix Cook Expert and I’m very happy with it, but this definitely would have been on my short list. Oh well.
If you came to this video and now are still trying to figure it out if it's worth it to you, Ann Reardon did an awesome review of this machine and one similar and it tests another functions, and also, if the temperature it says that reached, really matches, cause if not, with things such as sous vide can be a health risk. Search for How To Cook That - Thermomix vs Cheaper Option (and I will say that the tokit does great)
I'm impressed! Heck, I'm gobsmacked!!! All I really need to know how to do is washing the machine. Expensive, but you don't need a blender, mixer, rice cooker, ice cream maker, a food processor, or a large selection of pots and pans.
@@Lyysabeth Doesn't change the functionality of the devices being exactly the same. It's the same damned bowl and steaming basket and you don't get a Varoma or a blade cover for Sous Vide. Just because it's a MLM doesn't mean it's not a fantastic product. You don't have to sell them, just buy one and use it.
When I heard the voice, I was expecting this machine to be absolute trash. After seeing what you can do with it and how well it worked, I'm however rather impressed. How durable will a machine like this be though. Because usually machines like these tend to break quite fast.
This was the biggest issue to me. The price is one thing, yes, but what happens when, invariably, some part of it breaks? Now you're replacing a $700 machine instead of, say, a $20 food scale, or $80 immersion circulator, or a $120 blender... Is it more than the sum of its parts? Maybe to someone, but it just screams impractical to me.
Thank you for your excellent and factual review of the Tokit. Being a bit of a gadget freak, I’m lucky to have a Vitamix, ActiFry, etc - and best of all an AGA City 60 ( not a gadget! )- but was very intrigued by your presentation, and after dithering between the Thermomix and the Tokit ordered one a few days ago and it arrived yesterday afternoon. Straight out of the box we had a delicious mushroom soup for supper and it quietly beavered around in the background whilst I prepared the salad main course. My only criticism would be that it’s a little slow on picking up our otherwise excellent wireless - router just one room away and I can use my iPad happily in the back garden, but if the problem persists I can add a repeater to the kitchen area. Thanks again, Andy
Love your videos!!!! I'm from south africa and would love to see you guys try some of our food!!! Like melktert, babotie, chakalaka and pap, malva pudding, bunny chow and loadsssss more!!!!!
This could be really great for people who loose their homes in a fire or flood or tornado. Very suddenly they've lost all the appliances from their kitchen and might well be thrown into a hotel or cheap apartment, to start over with no space and no stuff. It's one appliance that does all the work without worrying that what you can afford now won't work well. All that's left is the dishes.
In such a situation a cheap stock pot, a large frying pan and a portable gas or electric cooktop burner, readily available at all home products stores, would be far more versatile, affordable and doesn't require internet. This device is a very expensive way to makes simple cooking processes more complicated.
I've had a Thermomix for about three years now and according to the stats, I have used it 282 times in the last year. I have no idea how to cook - but everyone loves what I put on the table because of it (from beans on toast to Iranian stews - it's changed our life). I don't believe it's for everyone, my partner loves throwing things together and has zero patients - so it's not for her. But for someone like me, who loves good quality food, precision and "cooking by numbers"....these kind of gadgets are life changing.
So, after looking at the kickstarter page and watching this, I would have a few questions. 1) It connects to the internet. Does it have to connect to the internet? Some companies have gone to the model where you need to be online even if you're not using the online function, and that makes things difficult. 2) How long does this thing last? The warranty is for 2 years, but if I buy this and it stops working in 4 I'm not gonna feel like it was worth $700. 3) Can you change the sound or voice setting? Because otherwise it's going to get very tiresome very quickly 4)An instant pot, a good blender, and a scale does everything this does besides knead and sous vide, for between a third and half the price. Are they saying the two extra features and taking up slightly less space is worth double the cost, or am I missing something? (I'm not including the recipes because of the million instant pot recipes online, but that still doesn't make up the difference if you include it) I don't hate this, far from it, but I'm a bit hesitant when it's this big of an investment in a kitchen.
i am a professional chef and i use a thermomix(a better and more costly version of this machine) literally every day at work and a home. once you get one of these you dont need a helping hand in the kitchen.
@@meathippie9322 Hi Meathippie, I would be interested in your views on why the Thermomix is better. Since I am considering both options at the moment. Thank you
The machine runs completely offline... wifi connection is only required to download (optional) recipes (and updates when new recipes become available). Once downloaded (over 1000), you can use these recipes offline. Or simply use the 11 modes manually Also, an all-in-one machine is especially needed for me, my kitchen is too small for too many pots. Moreover, Tokit much cheaper than the thermomix, which is the most important thing. Many people want to own the thermomix, but are intimidated by the price
@@herbertwilliam8480 Good information. Does it now have many Western recipes compared to a few months ago? This seems to be a common complaint when compared to the Thermomix.
As a chef living in an apartment with a tiny kitchen. This would actually be really handy simply due to the fact that it would compress various machines into the space of a big blender.

It is plain stupid to enter a real password you should care about in a TH-cam video, Teams/Zoom/Hangout call. Thermomix is way better and much safer.
It is 100% a copycat for Thermomix. But there are so many now: Taurus Mycook, Cecotec Mambo, Moulinex Cuisine Companion, etc.

@@KDiiX yes that's exactly what I'm saying, it's otherwise completely impossible. 🙄
INDEED. best investment of my life
I’ve a tm5 and a tm6.
I love how Mike and Jamie use the gadget like it’s Alexa but they named it Ebbers 😂
That's a pretty fair point that i didn't think of
Like others have said, and like how the person who responded said, there are kitchens/situations where this is super handy.

The security is a big thing, it can hack your whole house if something goes wrong (same goes for all the other smart objects)

That's something I want more info on because it looks like the actual manual settings (which is what they used for everything but the holandaise sauce) should be able to function without an internet connection and I'd be very concerned if it they did because that means they very much want you to always have telemetry with their servers when cooking.

@@adiands850 Never had a TM or one of these knock-offs … but I read a test where they compared these knock-offs with the thermomix.

This honestly sounds like the future of home cooking. Maybe i missed it but it would be awesome if they have a companion app for your phone so you can have the recipe while shopping. There are a lot of way cheaper models that have that function you want 😜
Im thinking one with a stovetop and oven would be a great addition. also the voice instructions sounds highly similar to something like chinese put through google translate.
Best case scenario that I'm hoping for is that the manual functions (which they mostly used this video) function without an internet connection.
I have backed kickstarter projects if it's a new idea because then you can live with the fact that, yeah, it's a bit janky but hopefully it will be a ok product and fulfill that space you have for that thing.
Jamie is the Diplomat for the Iberian Region and he’s doing his job of using ‘traditional’ pronounciation of a Spanish word 😂

Good to see tiny glimpses of the food team! Would love to see more!
"You're just my puppets...be glad I'm pulling strings."
My main way of improving it would be to make the blender attachment removable so give more surface area for searing, and include a pressure cooker built into the machine, so it could compete with the Instant Pot. Otherwise seems perfect.
I'm currently backing it, looking forward to it even more after watching this video.
Seeing Kush in small roles in the background in some of these videos feels so nostalgic. Just like James, he started out being in the background and then getting roped into videos. Can't imagine the channel without him now. All the chefs bring in new things and add such different perspectives.

I mean how much more is it than a kitchenaid? It's a couple hundred more and it does a lot more. I don't think the price is unreasonable.

Here in Germany we have the "Thermomix" kitchen appliances from - Vorwerk -
The first model Thermomix VKM5 was from 1961 and the latest model TM6 is from 2019. The model TM5 is sold since 2014 and is what many German households prefer before buying a less expensive similar kitchen appliance. @@hawkanonymous2610 you can keep your Thermomix at that price
@@caramac6382 I will and my grand children will love it then they are handed it down in 50 years!
This is what we call a good sponsorship
Like guys they spent days on shooting a 18min long video basically showcasing the machine
What interests me in that machine is the heating, the ability to set a specific temperature.
As a Spaniard, my thought process when seeing them make Gazpacho went a bit like:
- Hmm, let's see how they do, I hope they don't destroy it
- Ooh, it looks good (a bit more tomato can be used, but that's depending on tastes)
- Nice, they respected the recipe, that's great. Let's see the other dishes.
- WAIT WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THE POOR GAZPACHO?? WHY ARE THERE MEATBALLS IN IT??
Wait until you see what Jamie does with paella!
@@notme222 Yeah I saw it! It didn't bother me that much, I'm not Valencian, those are the true "Paella purists", it was just strange to see, like this
'Gazpacho With Balls In' could be a name of a dish in my new Spanish-Italian Fusion Restaurant.
They just used the gazpacho as a base
Not often I dislike a sorted video. But this was one of those rare times.
Germans Thermomix owners: "Am I a joke to you?"
Yes. For supporting MLMs lol.
You can serve big portions as a starter thing. Jamie is my spirit animal
That "I'm intrigued" face of Mike's should absolutely become a meme.
This is just another version of the Thermomix, isn't it?
"This is Barry-proof!" Bold of you to assume that. We're talking about Barry, after all.
Because otherwise it's going to get very tiresome very quickly
4)An instant pot, a good blender, and a scale does everything this does besides knead and sous vide, for between a third and half the price. Are they saying the two extra features and taking up slightly less space is worth double the cost, or am I missing something? (I'm not including the recipes because of the million instant pot recipes online, but that still doesn't make up the difference if you include it)
I don't hate this, far from it, but I'm a bit hesitant when it's this big of an investment in a kitchen.
i am a professional chef and i use a thermomix(a better and more costly version of this machine) literally every day at work and a home. once you get one of these you dont need a helping hand in the kitchen.
It's gone up to just over £1000, I love it!. Please do more testing guys.
As a chef living in an apartment with a tiny kitchen. This would actually be really handy simply due to the fact that it would compress various machines into the space of a big blender.
i have a machine similar to this called the Thermomix, these kind of machines really do decluter your kitchen alot and make cooking abit more easier if you dont like doing alot of prep work ahead of time
So it's a Thermomix, yeah?
Yep
Thermomix wannabe
Thermomix TM6 smashes this!
Mike-Sound effects/Foley artist-secret talent! 😆
This is half the price of a thermomix and its doing the same and a lot more. i love it
Impressive, would like to have seen it make custard. Would be amazing if it could do fudge and have different programs to get soft and smooth or hard and granulated fudge
