Erik said Lyle was the only reason he didn't commit suicide and that if Lyle took his own life, Erik would take his immediately after him. That's more than 'caring' about someone, these two were entirely dependant on each other. Suggesting otherwise is plain stupid.
The two brothers were very close to each other. Lyle was the elder brother so it’s a bit normal for him to protect his little bro. Erik is younger and introverted but that does not mean he didn’t/doesn’t care about Lyle. To me the bond between them is unique ❤
