Judge Weisberg stressed repeatedly that the jury was to have no external influences or bias. The jury was carefully chosen for the primary reason of being not influenced and not biased. Yet, the jury’s verdict was split clearly on male female lines. The males on the jury were unbudging from their guilty verdict - later discovered that they weren’t budging, not because of the evidence, but because they hated Leslie Abramson! I would love to know if Weisberg was aware of this. He emphasised that if any of the jurors noticed bias, they were to inform him. With the long and tedious deliberation of the jury, it seems very unlikely that Weisberg would not have picked up the bias of the male jurors. But HE DID NOTHING!
That is gross negligence at best, misconduct more likely. Especially since it was well known that Weisberg himself had an intense dislike for Abramson.
He has cost justice, he kept those brothers in prison longer than they ought to have been, and he kept awareness and responsiveness to sa in the dark for decades. I wonder if other children felt they had no one to turn to, and took their own lives? 😭
Judge Weisberg has a lot to answer for, and needs to be brought to justice.

Even if they were abused, the trial was to determine whether it was murder or manslaughter, and sadly, all evidence points to murder executed according to plan. Parents may deserve it, they surely did, but the trial was not about them. This said, 35 is a lot, however, I don't see how this new evidence of abuse can change the legal fact that the killing was planned and therefore, still murder.

If they were capable of plotting, lying, burglaries (valued at $100,000), other odd behaviour as witnessed by ex girlfriends, admitting they were under the impression their father was removing them from his will and then spending money frivolously before they got caught...shows that they are very shrewd and more than capable of an escape plan if they were being abused. At first, I was originally defending that as victims of molestation, as most victims are dependent on their abusers for housing, food etc. However, in this case they already had experience of robbery. If they are capable of deceiving the law or trying to get away with murder they should be punished regardless. What that looks like is for the new jury to make.
