    Great video sir. I am looking to build something very similar to your truck. 80's era Chevy 3+3 3/4 ton with a 6.0 and 4l80E to a Np205 or 241 T-case. Please keep posting videos and I'll keep watching.

    Thanks for the video, looking for options on my 75 FJ40. Think I'm going with this setup in the rear. I have a current stock LSD, but not working, I'm assuming its worn out. Took it apart, didnt see any damage . Cost a small fortune to rebuild. So thinking of spartan locker.

    Important note, the roll pin is maybe a 3/16. I tried using a 5/16" punch because that's how big the hole is. and it was too big. I almost ruined the punch not knowing it. was too big. Use a much smaller punch.

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The center drivers should have a channel machined into them to allow you place the c-clips. Check out the video.th-cam.com/video/YHQJyTF7_9g/w-d-xo.html
      at 3:10 you can see them install the c-clips using those channels. Thanks for watching

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about the cross pin? Was this an open carrier? If so, did you remove the thrust washers when you removed both spider gears? If your working on a Dana 60 carrier you must remove those thrust washers. Thanks for watching and let me know if you get it figured out

    I am having problems with my Dana 30 yj front. With one piece cheroke axle. Feel scca loked all the time , even in 2vwheel drive. Ate my tires fast. I was told the locker may be out of specs. Have you ever heard of thiis?

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the locker. Check out page 9 of this link. completeoffroad.com/files/spartan_locker_installation_instructions.pdf
      You could jack up the front axle and verify that the locker is disengaging by following those directions. Unfortunately lockers like the spartan (luckbox lockers) are not the best options if you don't have selectable hubs. Especially since you changed to a one piece axle, now there is no disconnect between the front tires. There are locking hub conversion kits available but they are not cheap! Thanks for watching and I hope you get it figured out.

    • @juanbarturen2726
      @juanbarturen2726 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Offroadfarm1 Thank you for responding. I have been considering removing the solid Cherokee axle going back to the split axle. I made my disconnect mechanical. I used a heavy stainless steel cable . Worked great. I dont do rock crawling, I just like to explore, and camp. Thank you. I will just miss the greasable seal at the end of the axle. Wont fit the thick 2 piece axle. Oh well

      My truck isn't finished yet so I can't comment on their durability. But several offroaders use them with out many problems. I couldn't find a HP rating on their website but you could try to contact them, www.usastandardgear.com/ and they may be able to help you out. Thanks for watching

    • @Offroadfarm1

      Plenty of people have these and drive them all the time. Check out this link. www.pirate4x4.com/threads/spartan-lockers-on-a-dd.2585970/ The biggest issue for most people is in rain or snow. If your locker is going in the front then nothing to worry about, just keep your hubs unlocked. If going in the rear then adjust your driving style when the pavement is wet. Thanks for watching!
