I’m going to canal for the second time this year and I got good pointers on what I would need for this year. What type of modifications would you do to an SP minnows and magic swimmer. I’m seeing people using swivels with 4/0 hooks. I’m just trying to see what the best options are to possibly land and not lose too many fish.

Can you get away with a 1-5oz lure rated rod 10ft surf rod for the canal if your wanting to just kick back and relax?
Plus if i may say darters equal current and sp minnow you dont necessarly need current.
