@@2davivadiva Exactly. You want to force me to commute 40 min to an hour to commute to work each way. pay for parking AT WORK. And also stay downtown to have a drink or a meal? In expensive western Washington where we put a tax on the tax for the tax? No thank you.
If the businesses that these want to work from home employees are losing money because you refuse to return to the office, then how long do you think it will be before you don't have a job at all. Can't maintain a business that's losing money
@@greatfuliam412 I think the answer is truly complex. At least where I live. One key factor is crime. Throughout the western part of the state there is a hands off approach to crime here. It is not uncommon to have multiple violent felonies and still be allowed to roam the streets. A pregnant woman was SA'd inside a court house by a man who lived in the homeless encampment across the street and sadly that is not uncommon for my neck of the woods. Its safer to stay home IMHO. They are HUGE with second chances around here even if you crack a skull with a baseball bat. I don't know there are just no easy answers.
I quit a new office job after 3 weeks due to the commute and office environment. I noticed that everyone knew each other’s business and there was a toxic dynamic between the senior and junior people. Excessive micromanagement and calling out your mistakes in front of other colleagues. No structured training at all. I prefer to work remotely to not deal with this stuff. Most people just want to do their job and go home. Simple.
Remember coworkers are not your friends they are your competitors. Its why companies want people in office so there is competition for oneupmanship so they can reward the ones that work longer hours. It’s the reason why there is politics, nastiness, complaining, nitpicking and things like that.... 😂
I worked from home a few years, then they said everyone return back to the office. So I retired. One thing about working from home, as long as you had a laptop and Wi-Fi you could be in Italy, New York, Africa, you could be anywhere you wanted to be without taking vacation or filing for a leave of absence.
It’s not about working from home. It’s about people in the office, boost the economy, such as buying gas, buying coffee, happy hours. So return to work is due to the discretional spending aspect on other companies.
I've been working from home since 2018, and I work harder and longer because I sign on when I'm bored or stay on late to finish work. In the office I was out on time and did no extras.
Back to office completely wastes everyone’s time. Creates traffic congestion, air pollution. I really think the company make their employees work remotely forever is the company of the future. The one push their employees back will lose the talent slowly.
Preach! i had a 3 hour commute 1.5 eavh way, before getting a telework position in 2018 BEFORE the pandemic, no interest in returning to that wasteful time.
Corporate Real Estate is worth significantly more than residential real estate. It would be a financial disaster to make corporate property residential. Also, small businesses make up over 50% of our economy. With everyone staying home restaurants can’t survive, the local dry cleaners can’t survive and it moves into larger sectors such as transportation. Our entire economy was created around people leaving home most days of the week.
Yasss, I believe that this is a part of the reason that they want people back in the office. Taxes.....I might be mistaken but, they need to have physical bodies in the building to be able to wright off and get the tax benefit. This would include all the stuff that goes with it. When someone works at home, they get that benefit instead.
More unproductive in the office because it is straight playtime! Co-worker conversations, laughs, and good times! Work where?? Telework, you have no choice but to work, no distractions. They definitely are doing it to keep work districts alive and the revenue going. If ppl are at home dry cleaner bills decrease, gas usage decreases, lunch expenses decrease, toll bridge uses decreases, public transportation decreases, parking lot usage decreases, yeah it’s evident why they want ppl in the office and it has nothing to do with productivity.
I agree. I work in NY. They want us back in the office because there’s no way they are spending money on rent and no one is in the office. in Also businesses in the surrounding areas are suffering due to folks not buying breakfast, lunch a dinner and even happy hours. No money being spent overall.
Gas companies want it too. If people work from home they lose all that money from people paying for gas for their commutes. Cars last longer too working from home.
Yes much less money spent meaning those people cannot be squeezed so much for doing more work, as able to save money > more likely to not be wage slaves forever for the company.
Wow that's tremendous insight sir. Seriously. I've been a teleworker since before Covid and not having to drive an hour into a crime-ridden city and sit in a cubicle where conversation with one's coworkers is highly discouraged, has been a great blessing. Thank you for this video.
I get at least 50% more done from home which I’ll be handing back if I’m asked to come back to the office. With open plan everyone’s conversation and Teams calls can’t be ignored and constant distractions from people asking you to break off. And I’m completely done with the congested commute wasting precious hours travelling.
Supervisors are uncomfortable with not being able to see what the employees are doing. They don't know how to supervise from a far, so they complain about bringing people back because they are stuck in their old ways and don't want to change.
Yesss so accurate : commercial real estate is soooo vacant in Downtown Chicago and it’s about control. People working at the beach on a laptop was not their plan. My mother loved it down there. My brother works down there but he said the same thing he loves working at home and gets more done and does have to worry about pot lucks and birthday parties.
That’s exactly right. The economic system depends on people taking the trains, buses getting lunch, gas, people shopping on the lunch breaks, the office building itself-the company has to pay the lease even if few to no one is in the building. Everything you said in this video. Everything
I believe it’s for the companies to keep better surveillance on their employees rather than working remotely. It also has created a disadvantage for them since they’re losing outstanding employees who prefer either remote or hybrid workplaces. ☺️👍
I figured this out a while ago. I loved working at home; less stress, more comfort, less money and time spent getting to work. I knew they wanted people back because of the downtown business district.
The issue as I just commented on someone else’s post under this video… It’s the “all or nothing” approach people are sick of. There are ways to give flexibility. There are also plenty of people who want to be in the building, let them go. Telling people you better go back or else isn’t working out that well overall. If you are going to have people in the building, let it be for a reason. But to have them come in the building to sit in their office and meet online is absurd. And for the people saying people are not working at home… it’s a lie. There has been data out showing that overall productivity has increased. You have people who go to work and do nothing all day (whether in the building or at home). Those are the individuals you need to remove from the company.
It's crazy that I am doing a job where I literally dont need to be in contact with my colleagues. Email, chat and calls are sufficient if needed, yet I still have to go 3 days a week. I quit 2 weeks ago cause I am sick of this non-sense.
Facts Will. Companies are exercising control, flexing their power. Also, the auxiliary community of restaurants, grocery stores gas stations and public/mass transit benefit when people return to the offices.
Going back to the day's of spending 1 hour to go to work, 1 hour for breakfast while at work, 1 hour for checking emails, 1 hour catching up with coworkers, 1 hour (or more for lunch), 1.5 hours of work, 30 minute break, 1 hour walking around because I'm now sleepy, 30 minutes of work, 1 hour trip home. Tell me again how productivity will increase by being back in the office!? I've literally been logged in working after 8pm some days while working remotely. Not because I have to, but because working from home allows the freedom to. I get tons more actually accomplished working from home than in the office. This move is truly to save these businesses and buildings.
You are correct and trust me, it will backfire. Its a ploy to fire good workers and hire desperate shit labor for cheap. When you have greedy billionaires whispering in each others ear (including the POTUS) the good honest tax paying workers suffer.
I had a tech. job where I begged my manager to lock me in the computer room, away from all the roaming slackers. I finally got another job, and THEN he offered me an office in the locked computer room....too late!
Very valid points. Cities have to be retrofitted to fit todays lifestlye. People are tired of sitting in traffic for 1hr to 1.5hr one way, to only sit on a zoom, teams call for a virtual mtg. I get you want to help downtown business, but at what cost. Work life balance, family obligations, diet, excercise, physical health, mental health, no energy for extra curricular, .....all of this comes from sitting in traffic because inner city school systems are trash, housing over priced, so you move your family to a better neighborhood in the suburbs, then fight your way thru traffic back into the city. Covid work from home, gave ppl a glimpse of a better quality of life for 5 plus years. And no one is willing to go back to the old way. If it means quitting, taking paycuts, moving to cheaper cities then so be it.
Simple solution. Use the sky scrapers for data centers. Use the open land for housing, parks, communities, schools, town centers and shopping malls. Stop having everyone coming to the same congested points at 8am. If operations are on the out skirts, great because thats where your staff are. Data centers should be in the inner cities, with mixed use commercial buildings, bottom floors shops, restaurants, bars, a few floors for condos, then data centers and a few office floors for occassional office visits, or ppl who luv the office. Those who can remote in, dial in. Opens roads for trucking, deliveries, less gas used, saves money, less drilling for oil helps environment, less vehicle emissions, less cars on road.
I think you are 100 percent absolutely correct. It's a bit of a control issue and the cities want to keep the cities going. I'm from NY and I worked in Brooklyn NY for almost 20 years. I worked for the biggest university in NYC. I could most certainly do my job from home, in fact sometimes when I knew I couldn't physically be at work I could still get my work done while I wasn't there. It took me on a good day to get to work by subway and train almost 2 hours one way. Imagine doing that for nearly 20 years!! Here comes Covid and all of the sudden we couldn't go into work, but my work got done as usual. They refused to make the jobs WFH, and it was getting harder to use the subway, I 'd have to pay a mortgage for parking if I drove...so THANK GOD...I retired. With that, they lost a valuable employee. That was 2 years ago and I still get calls of the procedures because no one was able to fill the gap. I was watching today as the Governor of NY was saying there will be more cop presence on the subways...WHY? Because NOBODY wants to use them due to crime and nobody is feeling like they NEED to be in the office. People are moving OUT of the city so they can have a better quality of life. It's like you said, these cities want to stay working backwards. I can understand that they invested a lot of money in the infrastructure of the city so they want us to keep using it an paying for it, BUT we know better. I think they better think of something else.
Madame I feel your pain. They don't take into account travel time to and from work. In the Seattle area transportation is so bad that you pretty much have to drive a car if you want to get anywhere. It takes seven minutes by car to get to my job, and an hour and 15 minutes by public transportation which they constantly shove down your throat here. And like you said, we get that they invested in the infrastructure but we the regular folks have woken up. I'm a nurse and can't WFH, but I also don't want to stay around town and waste money. Times have changed and its expensive to breath let alone eat out every night and they should understand that. But of course its profit over people
@@SmerzoneThis is a very important topic. So many 100s of millions got more time with family and it became closer, more time for walks and health improvement. If people dont quit it droves to stop this push, then the damage to society will be very bad.
It's definitely about money....when you go to work you SPEND money and keep the economy moving. If I'm a city, I give tax breaks to a company because I think that company will come in and provide economic stimulus to the area, but if the workers never actually physically come to the area, then no money is spent....so why would I give the tax incentive to a company whose workers don't actually spend money in the area businesses.
It seems to me there a variety of factors causing the push back to work. In the case of the federal government, it is a way to eliminate jobs without going through Congress. That could be true for employers as well, along with dying downtown cities, excess real estate, and other factors. When have corporations ever told their employees the truth? They don't care that you have to commute 2 to 4 hours a day. They don't care about you.
Yea companies don’t care about you. Actually if the want people back in office they should provide money for the daily commutes and pay for the lunches at the minimum.
Yep you hit it on the nail! Downtown Businesses, Restaurants, Public Transportation has taken a hit ever since Remote work became successful! Let the Billionaires pay for the shortages and leave the working class alone.
@Itwasnme just face it , there an recession coming that going to settle everything . Yall can't have your cake and eat it too on this matter , these businesses are going to go under and they going to lose jobs until it tickle down to you losing your job.
I understand both sides. Most companies are renting office spaces with 20 year leases and the building has been unoccupied for almost 5 years. Also, sir I agree with you as well that small businesses can't be sustained unless people are back to work. So while it may be good for the workers to stay at home. It is not good for the cities because for every small business that leaves, the city loses taxes. We don't want to raise taxes on the middle class. So the only other alternative is to have people to come back to work
You speak the truth .. if you look hard enough, there are still remote positions with companies for several careers. Only bad thing is they are highly competitive.
Making people go to work at an office ensures that companies invested in office space real estate get paid. People use more oil, gas, and electricity on the commute so those companies get paid. Yeah they also do spend more money at shops and restaurants in the city, but that's only an upside when it's small businesses. Corporate looks out for corporate.
This is going to come from financial institutions and government. It is all about money - going into the office forces corporations to have leased spaces, forces you to pay for gas, cars, public transportation, dining in local restaurants near work etc., and also a complete level of control over employees.
It's all about control, economy flow, and like someone said above utilizing the office spaces which are probably still being leased. It's definitely an antiquated way of working that just doesn't work for the employee of 2025.
I agree 100% with everything you said. In my case, it's a mid-sized company with about 100 people in the corporate office. It's not a public company. The owner is an uber rich old guy, who openly makes comments about how he needs to get people back in their seats so they can "get back to work". As in, if you're not here it doesn't count and you're not actually working. In some cases it's a control issue for the executives as well. He's just not comfortable not having the people he's paying within arms reach. If he can't physically see what they're doing, they must not be working. Everyone's definitely watching TV and stealing money from him! Of course he ignores the fact that the company's having it's best years financially over the last few years while everyone's working from home.
THANK YOU! The lost tax revenue from the decreased foot traffic is crushing local government budgets, many of which are already running on deficits. I also believe that’s the primary driver but have yet to see anyone mention it. * new sub
Facts. And, the major issue for the workers, we are not paid enough. We aren't paid enough to commute, to eat out every day, to deal with parking and gas, etc. They want us to come in to the office, to help keep city businesses alive and keep boosting that tax revenue base -- then _pay us more to be able to afford that!_ Too much of the economic burden is being forced on under-paid workers. An none of us care about the financial security of the companies and the owners of downtown office buildings! No one is bailing us out, we're not getting special tax breaks, we have to fend for ourselves. And the RTO b.s. is garbage being pushed by useless middle-managers who are narrow minded and paranoid (and they should be -- most of them are a waste of time and money and they're projecting those insecurities onto the workers, thereby reinforcing their perception that someone has to be watching the workers more closely to make sure that they are really doing work).
what about all the other businesses and construction if all jobs eventually become work from home it would cripple all other businesses that’s just the facts it stinks but it is what it is
Restaurant buyers actually calculate whether to purchase based upon local businesses. Picture this: a factory which has 1500 people is located one or two blocks from a small sandwich shop/restaurant. The restaurant is the closest (and tastiest) in the area. If the factory closes, that base of 1500 people is lost. A small 'mom and pop' restaurant serving just 25% of the factory can make almost $10,000 per day (average meal costing about $25) and about $50,000 per week. It makes a difference.
1000% true. I’m a software engineer and I have worked half my 20 year career at home. I’m way more productive at home. My current place of employment went remote, asked us to come back for hybrid, then saw it was dumb and sent us back fully remote for two years. Then turned around and ask us to come back hybrid, even after their own data showed that we were the most productive in the companies history. But when you build a half a billion dollar office and got tax breaks and incentives from the city, cause you promised to bust the economy in the area 🤷🏽♂️ I guess we got to go back hybrid 😂. And they tried the whole , collaborative talk, nah son just tell the truth. We aren’t kids, and speak the truth 😂
My job will remain hybrid. WFH has its advantages but for me, I’d rather go in. Not to see my colleagues but to be productive. At home, there’s too many distractions, but I’m not on a timer and I can work without being rushed.
You hit it on the head. As a cpa who supports entrepreneurship, my 2 cents is we all need side hustles if you can and build them part time among you, your friends and family and when it grows you quit. It could take 3 to 5 years, but start anyway.
Going back to office means commuting, spending money in lunch, etc. Companies just want to keep expensive buildings up and running to justify the investment. In my city, the company I work for had two 4-story buildings. After some attrition, now they can fit everyone in ONE building (using only 2 floors). That is a great way to save money and reduce cost. People are happy. But now high level management is asking to go back 3 days a week. Totally useless, and people are looking for other jobs.
I was once thinking of a response to this trend being to shop our individual talent/skillsets to other companies in perhaps reverse commute locations. Or smaller employers that are still more accommodating to work from home. Could send a notable message to companies if this takes place by a significant number of workers. We could produce for them, or produce for their competition. Or a number of the right people could collaborate together, and start their own thing.
The core of it is about insecurity. A total power and control trip. I need to see and control you. I don’t know for sure how you’re working. I need to monitor you. I have to see the whole flock together to see who to weed out by tracking. I can’t track you well if you’re at home. I also need you to be as miserable as me.
My health suffered when we were required to return to the office - migraines, gastro issues and weight gain, and much more stress. Not to mention, traffic was h3ll. I had far more interruptions and less productivity in the office.
I've worked on several outsourced projects and the results are always the same, we have to finish the project ourselves because the communication and quality of work is so poor. You get what you pay for.
@@BillClinton228all iam saying is we are not careful ALL of our American jobs will and can be outsourced. Try calling the number on the back of your your American Express card .
Then how will they keep the economy going ? If folks (the American ppl) don’t spend money then our economy falls So they want ppl back in the office to boost the economy If they outsource all the jobs and unemployment goes up then how will folks spend money to boost the economy ? Sure some but not all
A lot of these big multinational corporation also have expensive real-estate in major cities with empty offices, that they can't sell or rent out these buildings. I think this whole initiative to get people back to the office will backfire because many people simply don't want to come back, they would rather work from home and be with their families. I wouldn't be surprised if people quit these big companies and take positions with smaller companies online in order to work from home.
Grew up in NYC. I can't imagine what they are going to do since the city makes most of it's budget from commercial property taxes. Then the banks that have all the EMPTY commercial properties that are generating no income. They are just hoping to have them worth something again. This is going to be 2008 all over again but with commercial property.
RTO is a easy way to reduce payroll without liabilities. If an experienced expensive employee quits rather than RTO. They can be replaced with AI or cheaper employee. Since they quit no severence, unenployment, or wrongfull termination lawsuits.
Its a part of the WEF initiatives. The politicians, large corporations, and government contractors are acting one One (ie. One World Government) accord.
I've been working from home for the last 4-5 yrs now... prior to covid. I think there is probably more collaboration with WFH. I know I get more done working from home. I really think its a control issue. These corporations would rather see people suffer through traffic, high stress, just to keep a "leash" on people, when it's been proven that WFH works. I personally think that people might want to start shoring up their finances, so that they're not put in such a difficult situation where they're forced to choose between going back into the office or finding another WFH job. If I was told I had to return to office, I would put in my notice, and either find something else, or find other ways to generate income. But reasonably speaking, people have to do what is best for their own financial situation So much money can be made. People only need to understand how to navigate the markets and know what to trade, and the rest is history from there.
You are right. It will make people question their lifestyle and ask if they need alot of money or can they take a less paying job to have better options.
Very good video! The last point is that with people working from middle management and supervisory positions are being exposed, so they may be more willing to want people back in the office, because they have much less work. Many of these positions will go away. Self Management is on the rise. The only problem is that you have to strong disciple to work from home.
Huh? Older groups represent a very small percentage of the work force. Most "older aged groups" have retired, passed away, or in nursing homes. I'm 54 in generation X, and travel all over this country for work. So I know older aged people represent a small percentage of work force. They're not influencing anything. The Problem is Generation X and later don't fight for anything and don't stand for anything. They want corporations to just give them what they want just because they complained on social media 😂 Meanwhile older generations formed Unions to fight companies for better pay/benefits, improved work life and quality of life; stood together in Picket lines, and went on strike to shut companies down. Generation X and younger don't stand up for anything.
@bullydakidd2023 Although Boomers make up a smaller percentage of the workforce they're still in the highest positions of power making vital decisions on how the workforce is ran, Generation X and younger do fight for what we believe in. Boomers got rid of unions the Silent generation fought for. You're making up false facts because you sympathize for Boomers. Generation X and younger grew up rebellious my older brother (Gen X) was bumping NWA and Public Enemy when I was a kid teaching me about how corrupt our government and corporations are. In my middle school and high school we had riots when we didn't agree with the school administration they would have to call SWAT and shut our school down. Your view is very different than mine and I'm just 12 years younger than you.
Employers liked to be looked at. How else will they get the self esteem boost if they don't walk around a financially hemorrhaging building while the people that work for them tip their caps and hold the door for them?
I love this video and how you filmed it walking along a street of housing in the background. I'm from a completely different region - 2 hour drive minimum from silicon valley in a small farm town when we were able to come into the office as needed. Just been told we have to RTO 5 days a week starting March 1st and I am devastated for all the same reasons you and everyone else is talking about. How do we push back without losing our jobs that we need to pay the house payment and food? No easy option since I'm 62 and technically can't get full soc security until I'm 67 that's 5 more years?? SS may not even be there due to who is in office and I've been paying into it since I was 15!! I'm to the point where I am having trouble driving in the dark which in winter will be a problem getting to and from the office. BTW that will be 20 hours a week driving minimum not counting any major accidents slowing the commute even more. UGH - this system has to change. I've been working in corporate america for 40 years and nothing changes or gets better. I don't want younger generations to have to go their whole lives through what I've been through. The wasted personal time!! I look back and what was it all for? so depressing. Thanks for your talk - somehow it helps knowing others are seeing what I'm seeing too.

Based on different situations within the employees mangement and bssed on possible situations with the employee themself, their telework agreement can be terminated, having them to come into office five days at week. Preach! i had a 3 hour commute 1.5 eavh way, before getting a telework position in 2018 BEFORE the pandemic, no interest in returning to that wasteful time.
Its all about real estate and supporting local businesses. If only they turned the empy office buildings into affordable housing.
@@Luv2be facts on facts! 🎯💯
I agree. I work in NY. They want us back in the office because there’s no way they are spending money on rent and no one is in the office. in Also businesses in the surrounding areas are suffering due to folks not buying breakfast, lunch a dinner and even happy hours. No money being spent overall.
It's the Commercial Real Estate crisis. If they do not occupy these empty commercial buildings nationwide, the banks will need another bailout.
The money is going in thr wrong pockets. The rich want to dictate whose pockets those millions and billions of dollars go in.
Gas companies want it too. If people work from home they lose all that money from people paying for gas for their commutes. Cars last longer too working from home.
Yes much less money spent meaning those people cannot be squeezed so much for doing more work, as able to save money > more likely to not be wage slaves forever for the company.
A few CEOs finally admitted that it was a way to reduce their workforce.😈It’s pure greed and evil.💯
Who?
Wow that's tremendous insight sir. Seriously. I've been a teleworker since before Covid and not having to drive an hour into a crime-ridden city and sit in a cubicle where conversation with one's coworkers is highly discouraged, has been a great blessing. Thank you for this video.
You are welcome
I get at least 50% more done from home which I’ll be handing back if I’m asked to come back to the office. With open plan everyone’s conversation and Teams calls can’t be ignored and constant distractions from people asking you to break off. And I’m completely done with the congested commute wasting precious hours travelling.
It’s because the overhead is still being paid for those offices…that are now empty. And happy employees? We can’t have that!
Supervisors are uncomfortable with not being able to see what the employees are doing. They don't know how to supervise from a far, so they complain about bringing people back because they are stuck in their old ways and don't want to change.
This is a big part of it too. Even if you do everything asked of you and on time they are still suspicious of their employees.
It is just about showing their power, narcissists.
Commercial Real Estate's red ink is going to splash on people who thought they had nothing to do with it.
It was always about control
No computers or cell phones back then making it pretty much impossible to work from home.
They want you back bcos how dare you work from home or even a cruise ship when you can be miserable in your cubical.
We need to see how miserable you are so we know how hard you're working... if you're happy you're not productive
That’s exactly right. The economic system depends on people taking the trains, buses getting lunch, gas, people shopping on the lunch breaks, the office building itself-the company has to pay the lease even if few to no one is in the building. Everything you said in this video. Everything
I am so glad you see it!
I believe it’s for the companies to keep better surveillance on their employees rather than working remotely. It also has created a disadvantage for them since they’re losing outstanding employees who prefer either remote or hybrid workplaces. ☺️👍
The old work Matrix is crumbling. Excellent points, and thank you.
You're very welcome
I quit 2 weeks ago cause I am sick of this non-sense.
did you find another job?
@betsybarnicle8016 😂🤣
Yup. That time adds up
100% it is all about control. And their pockets.
Exactly!!!
Return to office is about 2 things.
1. Propping up commercial real estate values
2. stealth layoffs.
I just did a new video showing vacant retail spaces
Wow. Thanks for sharing
But of course its profit over people
@@msJjbluematrix smh 🤦♀️
@@SmerzoneThis is a very important topic. So many 100s of millions got more time with family and it became closer, more time for walks and health improvement. If people dont quit it droves to stop this push, then the damage to society will be very bad.
You hit the nail on the head. In fact, Mayor Adams of NYC popularity took a nosedive when he said working from home is destroying the local economy.
But it's probably true
I knew "remote work" wouldn't last.
They can't stand you being both happy and productive. 🤓
Yup!!! Totally control
THAT PART
Yup. Exactly! Packing my lunch every day.
You nailed it..🎯
Yep you hit it on the nail! Downtown Businesses, Restaurants, Public Transportation has taken a hit ever since Remote work became successful! Let the Billionaires pay for the shortages and leave the working class alone.
That would also mean people working in such places will likely loose their jobs.
@Itwasnme just face it , there an recession coming that going to settle everything . Yall can't have your cake and eat it too on this matter , these businesses are going to go under and they going to lose jobs until it tickle down to you losing your job.
Same reason why not eveyone can fancial responsible.in this current system it run off you spending money.
I know this wasn't the point of your video but it's SO dang relaxing! Your voice combined the sound of you walking in the snow = 👍🫶🤗
Thank you!!!
Commercial property loans are the reason. A lot of banks and companies are underwater in their portfolios.
You are abolutely correct. A lot these properties are being foreclosed on, or the mortgagor are handing the keys back over to the bank.
Working at home are helpful for mother's as well!
but not possible for all the blue collar like plumbers
They are hoping a lot won’t return and they can thin the herd without firing
It’s to stimulate the local business economy.. that’s the only reason
U on it brother. U said no lies.
Control
very valid points. They need no-brain workers AND spenders.
This is going to come from financial institutions and government. It is all about money - going into the office forces corporations to have leased spaces, forces you to pay for gas, cars, public transportation, dining in local restaurants near work etc., and also a complete level of control over employees.
This is it !! Like you said they are trying to financially stimulate all the things you mentioned.
Exactly. Its all control. My job made record profits while people were working from home during covid.
THANK YOU! The lost tax revenue from the decreased foot traffic is crushing local government budgets, many of which are already running on deficits. I also believe that’s the primary driver but have yet to see anyone mention it. * new sub
Thank you for the sub!!! I agree with what you said.
I totally agree.
what about all the other businesses and construction if all jobs eventually become work from home it would cripple all other businesses that’s just the facts it stinks but it is what it is
Restaurant buyers actually calculate whether to purchase based upon local businesses.
Its horrible to spend all day at work and go home to sleep and repeat.
Yup. It’s all about the money.
You are absolutely correct
This brother nailed it.
Seems like a way to let go of people as well.
My job will remain hybrid. WFH has its advantages but for me, I’d rather go in. Not to see my colleagues but to be productive. At home, there’s too many distractions, but I’m not on a timer and I can work without being rushed.
😃
I love the outdoor walking and talking videos🥰
Me too!!!
I know they are saving money on utilities when people working from home. I think people that want to come in the office can.
Control.
You are spot on!
Best comment right here! That's exactly what that is!
My health suffered when we were required to return to the office - migraines, gastro issues and weight gain, and much more stress. Not to mention, traffic was h3ll. I had far more interruptions and less productivity in the office.
I agree with the interruptions
Lmao
All the jobs, that can be done from can be easily outsourced overseas for minimum costs. Try calling your local cable company for service.
Check out my other video about this. Ai and outsourcing will replace alot of jobs
Then how will they keep the economy going ? If folks (the American ppl) don’t spend money then our economy falls
So they want ppl back in the office to boost the economy
If they outsource all the jobs and unemployment goes up then how will folks spend money to boost the economy ? Sure some but not all
They're trying to make you quit
And you have folk that go to the office and do not work! It’s about the optics too! Crazy
Perception!
Yup they want to own you, not just have you complete the work but own you
Hey Johanna! Yup
This is true. That's why the federal government wants to delete remote work. It is mainly for the employees in D.C. and major cities.
You are speaking the truth!!!
Control. That’s all.
Exactly, that was one of DC Mayor complaints and she has been pushing for everyone comes back to the office. Just want the people to spend money
She wanted jobs to be saved? How dare!
Control, but it is hurting the little people.
blue collar workers can't work from home. they are the little people vs the privileged who can work from home
Oil companies don’t like it when you work form home.
Companies like control too. They want to be able to watch people so if you say youre are busy they can see it.
It’s also because they can’t drag you into cult like behavior to put your job first …IE team building
I always hated that teamwork mentality!
U definitely right 💯also the fact that they paying for office space that isn't being utilized
I agree with you. You have a very nice deep and clear voice. You would make an excellent narrator. 😃
Sign me up!!! 😂 thanks
Agree and very calming and supportive.
But reasonably speaking, people have to do what is best for their own financial situation
So much money can be made.
💯Absolutely!!!!🌟
You got it!!!
Middle management contributes nothing...😂
Its really the older age groups that refuse to retire causing all the issues Gen X and younger all agree WFH is better for society
I agree. The older generation are stuck in that mindset
They want corporations to just give them what they want just because they complained on social media 😂
Meanwhile older generations formed Unions to fight companies for better pay/benefits, improved work life and quality of life; stood together in Picket lines, and went on strike to shut companies down.
Generation X and younger don't stand up for anything.
@bullydakidd2023
Although Boomers make up a smaller percentage of the workforce they're still in the highest positions of power making vital decisions on how the workforce is ran, Generation X and younger do fight for what we believe in.

Free speech disclaimer.
There is a huge distinction between being [1] 100% fully remote federal government employee and [2] a federal government employee that's eligible for telework, on a telework agreement.
* 100% remote employee was hired as a 100% federal government employee, no matter what geographical location they live. Their home is their work station, and as written in their official position title, are ineligible to telework, because their postion dictates their position is 100% fully remote.
*Remote work and telework is not interchangeable* .
* Employees on a telework agreement, do come into office (i.e three days at work and two days at home or vice-versa). Based on different situations within the employees mangement and bssed on possible situations with the employee themself, their telework agreement can be terminated, having them to come into office five days at week.
Also, over 50% of federal government employees are veterans of the United States Army/National Guard/Navy/ Air Force/Marines/Coast Guard 🇺🇸, that served their country overseas, putting their lives on line, for the name of freedom and democracy.
That’s my families situation. We were hired remote and our team is all over the nation. We have no office to go to and it looks like we will be forced to move and it is unclear if our agency even has money to rent a building let alone foot the moving bill for their entire agency.
You are absolutely 💯!!! I feel like the company I worked for, used me during the pandemic, I worked from home without any issues. My attendance even improved. I worked overtime for over a year ….. without any problems. Now…… no option are given, come back to the office or your fired. I do not interact with the team…. It’s all fake
