How does cutting telework increase efficiency?

As long as it takes pressure off Congress, they don’t give a damn. Facts mean nothing.

If they want 3 million quiet quitters keep it up. They spend money like drunken sailors but everything is the fault of federal workers.

I retired today after 32 years. HR hasn't even assigned my package to be worked even though I submitted it 2 months ago. Back then they said first in first out. When I called to check on it they said they are working December retirees first.

The bill regarding excluding locality pay when calculating retirement is for new employees and not current ones. Please read the text I provided from the library congress’s website on this bill.
“A bill to exclude locality adjustments from average pay for purposes of computing the amount of retirement annuities of new employees.”

Wow, let’s cut cost by targeting those who keep the government running. These bills wouldn’t be a problem if the initial bill’s covering locality pay and base pay were properly established. Thanks for the update!

They can’t even pass a budget, not worried about any of these bills. What it will do is completely change who controls the house and senate

What good is an early buyout? I'm asking because I don't know. I heard a lump sum of $20,000? That doesn't sound like much.

Would the locality pay change apply to current employees or only new employees?

    • @difthong
      @difthong 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

It would only impact new employees, like when they went from CRS to FERS

As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.

I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market..

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of
information can be a big hurdle. I've been
making more than $200k passively by just
investing through an advisor, and I don't have
to do much work.. Inflation or no inflation, my
finances remain secure. So I really don't blame
      people who panic.

Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.

how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?

Workers today seem to think companies/government need to bend to their wishes, they don't. I was a fed for 40 years went to work in the office/airfield everyday, there was no such thing as "work/life balance". I am not saying supervisors ( I was one) should not try to cut some slack sometimes for situations ( family, illness ect..) that may happen to employees from time to time, but some of the entitled mentality is bogus. People are paid to work and the agencies have the right to dictate location and environment, the employees have a right to a work environment free of harassment/abuse/ and any other type of hostile work environment.
If an employee is remote working in a lower cost area then the home office they should get location pay for their work area not the home office, that just makes sense.
excluding locality pay should only happen to new employees

I agree with this. If my POD is Dallas/Dallas County, but I do more than 80% of my work as telework outside of that POD, then no. Locality should not apply.
Yes, it sucks, but the idea is to make up for the cost of living in these localities.
The "entitled" portion of your comment is just age. Things change, and my employer is not some beneficial god. They are buying my limited time of existence for a service I provide them. I'm sure folks from the 1700s would think you're some pampered baby with your access to food, medical care, and land ownership.

Laughed as I read it. How many trainees actually certified and then the full workload hits..... 50% quit within a month. Most common reason, too much work and pressure.

Some of the best services I received were from those working at home. I don't need a person to be in an office building as long as they are doing their job at home.
