Oh, that's pretty tricky step, try to have dried hands and connect one side first, then another one, push them harder to click

Had a lot problems
Very very very fragile, never built one, the bonnet doesn't attach due to the 2 back back hinges underneath it.
I've watched few videos and re-built it 5 times, bonnet doesn't attach as hinge is down so not only does it not move the bonnet it stops it from being attached

At 8:25 (page 68 manual) I can’t get it to engage. I’ve pushed in pretty hard too.
I believe you, it's pretty picky this step, try to push one by one, not both of them, maybe this will help, if not, try to take of each of them, install them firstly and the add the bottom details on them
I cant even get the hood on. I had to take the little green pieces off for it to even fit. It doesn’t even fit with the green pieces on it.
This Lotus has a lot of moments like this 😕
So right here 2:12 I can’t get the black piece on the grey piece😭😊

Maybe you have installed over there a piece without studs?

Yeah, this part is pretty hard, you have to push harder to install on that 2 round bits.
2:09 that one black piece won’t go with that grey piece is there another one somewhere in the set
You need 2 pieces for that, 6000606 & 6053077
Same issue the black ramp style bit will not go into the silver one
You have to push them harder. These pieces are pretty hard to connect.
I can’t do the bit where you have to connect the bits at the front
