  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

That drain system is engineered to take a beating and last. Good stuff! I'm surprised they didn't blast out and make a plunge pool for that 15+ foot drop.
That hook? Looks really heavy duty. I thought maybe it was a bale hook but it's too bulky for that. Most likely a 5th wheel release puller that a truck driver lost, or it's a concrete reinforcing mesh puller. Looks to be clean and in good shape. Neat find!

This video lives the dream of little kid me, who used to always want to explore culverts I came across but was almost always too afraid I'd get in trouble either by somehow getting stuck or by my mom finding out I was trying to go into them in the first place.

  • @mademoisellekaya1438

I can remember that video! Because of the unique end of that storm culvert, those chair kind of blocks to break the water speed out of that mountain culvert..
And I honestly now again bump into this video by coincidence, it looked So new, I had to check the upload date and yep, I was right, it is from recently.
Bizarre to walk in there, almost no water.. a couple of little baby fish and that's it... normally it is raging with water!
I may hope it is not a yearly repetition.. this drought, Europe is under pressure from it too, very badly..
But I enjoyed this, it is 02:50 in the night and hot.. That cold water you felt, I am kind of feeling it too 😁
I wished I felt it, maybe I could sleep for a moment.. (no Airco in my house so.. it is hot!
But, it looked that the with concrete part is better protected then the part without.. That is a thought to stand still by by the DOT?

Another great video with a beautiful culvert and landscape, and the editing and flashbacks were lovely. The square cement portion is where a secret water society of 5 meet to worship the great water deity once a year, they sit on those baffles.
I yelled DRINK THE WATER when you mentioned you were thirsty. Walmart has Sawyer Squeeze filters, that you attach to Smart water bottles or bottles with the same cap groove. I gather the water straight into the bottle and drink out through the filter. could be useful to have in an emergency anyway if you don't already.

Ode to Post 10. Lurker of tunnels, enemy of puddles, foe of beaver and flood alike, hear my desperate plea. Leaves clog drains, my eyes impassible by wisdom. Salvation in rubber boots approaches. Leaves are hewn aside with fury, my milky eyes now clear. Water and wisdom begin to flow freely. Slow at first, but sure to rage. Ignorance flows from the drain of my mind. Like Thor and his hammer, Post 10 and his rake take their place of glory on the mount. His rest only interrupted by approaching storm clouds. Pluck thy rake from it's resting place, oh Post 10, put on the boots of righteousness. For like the rains, thy task is never ending.

That sloped entry is to control the rate of flow and provide an air path from the vent down the culvert. You're probably aware of what happens if the culvert becomes completely filled with water, but I'd expect either the culvert to crack and fail due to the forces (as it's designed to keep the earth out not the water in), or at the least the culvert going from draining water from the hillside to injecting it instead.

Them giant spiders are likely European Orbweavers, or relatives thereof. They're one of the very few spider species that are willing to be communal and share webs with others of their species (although it's pretty uncommon to find them doing so). Do not concern yourself with destroying their webs. They typically destroy their own webs every single day to make a new one (ever seen one with a loaded web? I haven't). It'll only take them about 30 minutes to have it rebuilt. They're also only mildly venomous. Unlikely to cause a serious wound unless you're allergic.

That giant culvert reminds me of the intro to a 1960s TV series called "Time Tunnel". I think some of your fans may remember the show.

Man,I like watching you, but you have to be a little bit crazy to go down in those culverts. Thanks for the entertainment. 😊😊

I really hate when you go into long culverts. I am afraid that you may have difficulties breathing or come across something harmful no one will know where you are and how to find you.

You know it's only every 42-year drought 1980s was worse than it is now here in California certain Lakes for dry could walk across them and right now those legs still have water so the drought ain't that bad so when the drug gets as bad as it did in 1980 then you can worry

I still say, you wouldn’t get me anywhere near a place with so many spiders, because not only would you walk through webs, but also 💩🕷 😆

Post, that place looks like a future set of " Stranger things" you could pass that place onto them. Congratulations on the 600K
