But my toes are stimming, the autistic part of me is feeling icked by seeing rain drops hitting your legs in shorts and wet shoes and socks 😩 ooof, I just hate that 😂

Hi Gavin. This one is in a Luvly suburb. I am surprised that You don`t drop a dye in the pit to see where the water is draining to.
    Nice work on this one.

I think that water is the most amazing thing in the universe.
It creates such joy, gives life, can destroys nearly everthing, can be broken down to rocket fuel, oxygen, hydrogen and more.
    How friging cool is that.
Probably one of the reasons I'm a plumbing and heating engineer.
    Cheers Gav.

I'm from North Carolina in US. I for some reason addicted to this channel. I asked my husband if we could have roots in ours. He said our pipes were under the house. We do have septic and a drain fill. When we moved here we cut several big trees down. Anyway just babbling. Southerners seem to do that. Love you....ever get to NC look me up.

  • @hestheMaster

In the states we have the ability to put in what is know as a backflow preventer. It goes from the large cistern to the street connection and keeps water from the street getting into your home. This is important if you have a basement and a high
water table because days of rain will cause a big flood issue into your home. Of course you still have to keep your drains
clear of roots and the like. Congrats on cleaning out the lady's backyard pool Gav. Might come back with the camera.

Incredible video for one thing getting wet because of the flooding conditions in the yard and then raining on top of that. See it on the videos one thing but to actually be there and doing that I cannot even imagine. You are a lifesaver for a client, if it would be me I would be panicking. Hopefully when you run the camera down it’s just a bunch of roots and you can fix it for them. Great job on a rainy day.

Those tip cleaners are generally used on oxyacetylene torches but they also work good on shower heads when you have hard water and minerals start to build up around the orifices and start closing them off. I do my shower head every few months just to keep it spraying good.

You could throw some dye down the pipe on a better, drier, day and work out which outlet it is out in the street. It might be time to make a major capital investment in a new set of tip cleaners even 2 sets. Cig or Repco will have them. I'm a mechanic and we use them for cleaning out windscreen wiper nozzles when they are blocked. You can never find wire thin enough . Awesome vid and 10 points for persistence.

I love when family and friends call me with a blocked sewer pipe or drain line. Most people don't have a clue what is underground. They don't understand how there sewer lines in the house work or wich one is sewer. I have with there help dug 4ft deep trenches on there private property. Replacing with PVC. When working for gas utility I loved to dig by hand and still do I'm 60. They are surprised about location of underground sewer line and location of problem. Most lawn repairs take 2 days and I pride myself on people not knowing where the trench was. Average private property repair 5k to 7k. Friends and family feed me and make sure water and coffee are a call away. I believe 1 day I'll get a favor from them in return
