That lady is my girlfriend. We drove into Pittsburgh the day before and went to the game yesterday. Sat behind home plate in the upper deck. We’re both Cubs fans and wanted to bring the excitement on the road with us. I guess that’s too bad for every other pissed off Pirates fan but I couldn’t care less! Cubs win, they can cry us an Allegheny River.

@@srellison561 Well he struck out 34% of the time in 2023 which was really bad and he's striking out 20% this year. Way better. I think it's because Counsell is only starting him against lefties which he handles far better. No way is he going to maintain a BA above .300 like he has now though.

A walk to lead off an inning is just as good as a single.
But a walk with a guy on 3rd and 2 out is NOT as good as a single. You still need guys to hit with runners on base.

@@ImRanchWilder well, we are 27th or worse in every offensive category, including 30th for slugging and runs. Our .220 batting average is abysmal and ranks 27. Reynolds has to rebound and be the guy he used to be. Right now Connor Joe’s hitting with RISP is the only thing keeping us afloat. The only good thing about our offense is that we don’t K very much.

Man our mid/ late relief bullpen is an absolute liability. That was Pittsburghs game to win, amazing plays made to keep them in it.
Suzuki was hitless today, but he's coming off an injury, so he doesn't seem to be getting better yet. It was good that the Cubs were able to win anyway.👏

If Cubs aren't harassing every team that's potentially looking to offload a bullpen arm, fire the entire front office. This current bullpen could easily be the difference between winning the division and missing the playoffs.
