Wait after you give the caretaker the items he actually does take the realm back into the black hole? I was checking back in on my campaign now and again to check out of curiosity. I'll have to figure out if I did everything right for him to do it. I sided with him after choosing the "eat me" option with the other guy so it just happened anyway.
@JPooger whisper isn't selling the set and I didn't receive them at the end. I'm not wanting to restart a whole new character just to get the archon. So if there's no work around I just won't get it.

My god, I can finally sleep knowing I’ve gotten everything (known) in the game. My collectors side was screaming at me to figure this shit out xD I was jumping off the map in the labyrinth for the last 3 days to try and find a secret platform
Aaaand I only have like a 1/4 of the necessary gear for that lol… however I did stumble on that gate wandering around before I saw any videos on it and for a second thought I found something first 😂
Been playing since early access and I've found the door very VERY early, but truth be told I would never have found a way to get in, nor anyone one solely just playing the game... Is a real bummer...

Can confirm this works. Had all items organically except for letos amulet (what clue to actually do burpees in front of Reggie?). Additionally, items dont give any clues as to combine them for the corruption effect. Honestly, was hoping the portal would lead to Ford and then to the archetype. I did find the 3 items with treasure hunter and got the archetype, thanks for the vid.
I wonder if someone with that loadout can bring other players with them that don’t have the required items, would it auto kick them or teleport then with the host
This game is way too annoying with its secrets XD Keep an eye out for the annihilation class to get it wait 3 hours in the gluttony room naked on a Tuesday during a leap year on the fool moon while singing black parade in reverse.
@@omnizenn4559 maybe it's me, but I don't think the secrets are random... most either have hits, very nuanced I must admit, or hidden behind some exploration... but this is probably very subjective...
Sadly only thing I'm missing is the Relmwalker set which is still not showing up in the shop. I don't want to start a new character just to unlock this class, I'll wait for patch.
or alternatively you could ask for help, any player who meets the requirement can join your game and open the portal for yah... that's what I did, since I was only missing the armor set (and the shotgun, technically)...

Apparently this game favors greatly folks on PC, 1st cuz of the "data mining" requirement but also cuz no on PC seems to be bugged out of it... Real bummer in an otherwise awesome game...
But my question is why? How would anyone know how to figure this out if not for data mining? I’d love to know the clues to figuring some of this stuff out in this game.

Well, started as a little group just theorizing how to open it, until we get a way to enter the game files and saw all the things. After that was just effort from everyone in The Cult of the Door

Devs created the game so they are entitled to design however they want, that said even tho I think the game generally values/rewards player's investment, not this part, _not at all_
well, that is the lore behind it, the world is actually set in the matrix, the root is a glitch in the matrix, Ford took the red pill and tried to escape the matrix, end up bringing the root into the matrix. To get Archon, you need to become Ford, escape the matrix, and datamine the world. The random other rings and stuff are probably just to make sure you can't just stumble upon the solution
I think this lore dates back to Chronos, but only when Clementine turned herself into a USB drive to plug everyone out of the matrix, the lore begins to make sense
OK so do you actually need all that because there items there that are rng story lines and dint the dev say you don't need to re row your camping like the item in root earth is not there for me

so here's my personal opinion wow when will I admit this is more Community Based on data miners in mind but man this is going to be so much demanding requirements ( play the void heart and Ford's Scattergun ) also this doesn't give me some speculation ideas for for the other NPCs to have different classes and whatnot ( I feel like mudtooth would have basically both Gunslinger and Handler for example because he was the one who gives you these two)

Dataminers apparently figured it out. But I am calling BS on this, because it makes no sense to have it as convoluted as that. Doing 100 flops is simply dumb and I wouldn't put it past the devs to have added this as a troll.
@@georgen5882 they apparently made it impossible to figure out without datamining on purpose... this was intentional... it was intended to be the last class anyone ever found (thus requiring other advanced classes first and all that other stuff)... not to mention that the portal leads into an area that looks like and has items related to the devs...
Whisper is bugged for me, he doesn't sell the armor of the explorer I already did the campaign but he doesn't upload the shop. Anyone knows what I can do?
Did you finish the game in your own playthrough or by joining a friends game? There is ALOT the game doesnt count, if you are not the host/in your own Campain.
@@ZEROTWO-op7nn if you do, make sure you don't skip the end credits, and for good measure neither the little cutscenes during the final boss fight, although it's not confirmed, some folks who re-rolled the campaign reported this way the game didn't bug out... offline, obviously, since when in co-op the game will boot people out for some reason... Also, alternatively, if you only want to get the items inside the glitched portal, you could ask for someone to open it for yah... have them join your game and help using their treasure hunt skill... that's what I did cuz I'm not really up to grinding a new char from scratch... whatever you choose, good luck XD
So there’s no way for me to get the armor without starting a new character? So basically my main character can’t get it since you can’t start off with the explorer class without beating the game first. Great. All these hours for my main character was a waste.

You can buy it from a vendor at Ward 13. He's the guy that doesn't speak standing next to the woman you were traveling with at the beginning of the game.
1st need to beat the game once tho, craft the class item, and most importantly don't get your hopes high if yah playing on console cuz is bugged and the set is unlike to be available @ Whisper...
from the start i was thinking you had to "cosplay" in order to unlock the door, i got so incredibly close to doing it myself but i never got the amulet..
It’s a Founder Ford build; his clothes, gun, weapons, all marked as corrupted and Ford even has a picture of the location the Archon engram is in, in his office at Ward 13.
Oh well, yeah cuz "we can't have nice things anymore"... Been spoiled by cheaters, so true organic secrets/easter-eggs are no longer viable, in fact all secrets of this game have been spoiled day-one by data miners... You still can go blind, but probably take a "life time" to get stuff folks got on day-two...
One if the video included the void heart but if you can do it without it please let us know because the void heart is very RNG i think since you cant destroy n’erud but it needs to get corrupted and you need a tile to visit when its corrupted
@@no_pause_button you are correct I’ve just looked into it you need the seekers path as spawn beat the boss don’t do alt kill then speak to custodian for me it took over 12h so skip 3 days and you’ll 100% get the planet that's lock in the region go there and you'll get to corrupted heart
Kill the final boss without the override pin, then fast forward your computers time by at least 12 hours. Travel to ward 13 and then you can travel to Alepsis-Taura
confirm what exactly? if you mean the class existence and/or if that's the way to get it, then I can confirm... also can confirm the part of getting the Explorer armor is bugged for a lot of folks right now, specially on PS5...

@@auraundmare4850 indeed bugged, seems related to skipping the end credits screen after the defeating the boss, not confirmed but, folks who did beat again without skipping seem to have unlocked Whispers inventory... also if beat the boss offline, cuz otherwise the game kicks everybody out automatically for some reason, where as you should let the credits roll out till the game get's you to the start screen... hope it helps...

Garbage. Its locked behind a bug. Cant get the realmwalker set without restarting a new character since whisper isnt selling it and i didnt recieve them for beating the final boss and im good on that. So unless someones got a workaround im just not getting it.

Must be nice the game locked em out of the armor I needed then another TH-camr mentioned he might have gotten the armor form the seller by creating a new character so I did it didn’t work so I deleted the second character and instead the game deleted my main character and replaced him with the second character 👍 very nice gunfiregames
Data miners ruin everything. Imagine all that hard work making a secret you think will will be found sometime into later into the life of your game as a treat to players but nerds in their moms basements ruins it in a week....
this was meant to be datamined... the devs said so themselves they made it nearly impossible to figure this out without datamining... hence the glitchy look to the portal and dev items inside the portal referencing the company and breaking the 4th wall.

They didn't design the secret to be datamined because they knew it would be datamined eventually, they designed it to be datamined to offer a challenge and to create a community, which is exactly what happened. The secrets feel so random. I kinda prefer Soulsborne approach with items hinting at things versus what this game feels like just getting lucky

Yea apparently a lot of people on console are having issues with NPCs thinking it’s the first time they have met you. The devs are looking into it.

You get the hero sword when you complete the game on heroic difficulty it will be sold to the vendor at the shooting range

A dev stated after the egg was solved that there was no "Natural" way for these items to be unlocked other than from datamining.

Well, started as a little group just theorizing how to open it, until we get a way to enter the game files and saw all the things. After that was just effort from everyone in The Cult of the Door

Devs created the game so they are entitled to design however they want, that said even tho I think the game generally values/rewards player's investment, not this part, _not at all_

well, that is the lore behind it, the world is actually set in the matrix, the root is a glitch in the matrix, Ford took the red pill and tried to escape the matrix, end up bringing the root into the matrix. To get Archon, you need to become Ford, escape the matrix, and datamine the world. The random other rings and stuff are probably just to make sure you can't just stumble upon the solution
I think this lore dates back to Chronos, but only when Clementine turned herself into a USB drive to plug everyone out of the matrix, the lore begins to make sense

so here's my personal opinion wow when will I admit this is more Community Based on data miners in mind but man this is going to be so much demanding requirements ( play the void heart and Ford's Scattergun ) also this doesn't give me some speculation ideas for for the other NPCs to have different classes and whatnot ( I feel like mudtooth would have basically both Gunslinger and Handler for example because he was the one who gives you these two)

Dataminers apparently figured it out. But I am calling BS on this, because it makes no sense to have it as convoluted as that. Doing 100 flops is simply dumb and I wouldn't put it past the devs to have added this as a troll.
@@georgen5882 It's not BS, it's real and according to the devs themselves it was convoluted on purpose to encourage datamiing
@@georgen5882 they apparently made it impossible to figure out without datamining on purpose... this was intentional... it was intended to be the last class anyone ever found (thus requiring other advanced classes first and all that other stuff)...
not to mention that the portal leads into an area that looks like and has items related to the devs...
So you have to start a new character ive beaten the game but never got the armour set needed got the class but not the armour

Did you finish the game in your own playthrough or by joining a friends game? There is ALOT the game doesnt count, if you are not the host/in your own Campain.

@@ZEROTWO-op7nn if you do, make sure you don't skip the end credits, and for good measure neither the little cutscenes during the final boss fight, although it's not confirmed, some folks who re-rolled the campaign reported this way the game didn't bug out... offline, obviously, since when in co-op the game will boot people out for some reason...
Also, alternatively, if you only want to get the items inside the glitched portal, you could ask for someone to open it for yah... have them join your game and help using their treasure hunt skill... that's what I did cuz I'm not really up to grinding a new char from scratch... whatever you choose, good luck XD

Honestly this is stupidly complicated and doesn’t even add up why you need all this.
So there’s no way for me to get the armor without starting a new character? So basically my main character can’t get it since you can’t start off with the explorer class without beating the game first. Great. All these hours for my main character was a waste.
I think If you equip the item ONCE, the guy in Ward 13 will sell the clothes.
once you unlock the explorer whisper sells the armor set. but its bugged for a lot of people right now.

You can buy it from a vendor at Ward 13. He's the guy that doesn't speak standing next to the woman you were traveling with at the beginning of the game.
1st need to beat the game once tho, craft the class item, and most importantly don't get your hopes high if yah playing on console cuz is bugged and the set is unlike to be available @ Whisper...

Is there a lore reason to why the requirements for this is insanely specific?
It’s a Founder Ford build; his clothes, gun, weapons, all marked as corrupted and Ford even has a picture of the location the Archon engram is in, in his office at Ward 13.

@@no_pause_button you are correct I’ve just looked into it you need the seekers path as spawn beat the boss don’t do alt kill then speak to custodian for me it took over 12h so skip 3 days and you’ll 100% get the planet that's lock in the region go there and you'll get to corrupted heart
Kill the final boss without the override pin, then fast forward your computers time by at least 12 hours. Travel to ward 13 and then you can travel to Alepsis-Taura

@@auraundmare4850 indeed bugged, seems related to skipping the end credits screen after the defeating the boss, not confirmed but, folks who did beat again without skipping seem to have unlocked Whispers inventory... also if beat the boss offline, cuz otherwise the game kicks everybody out automatically for some reason, where as you should let the credits roll out till the game get's you to the start screen... hope it helps...

Garbage. Its locked behind a bug. Cant get the realmwalker set without restarting a new character since whisper isnt selling it and i didnt recieve them for beating the final boss and im good on that. So unless someones got a workaround im just not getting it.

Must be nice the game locked em out of the armor I needed then another TH-camr mentioned he might have gotten the armor form the seller by creating a new character so I did it didn’t work so I deleted the second character and instead the game deleted my main character and replaced him with the second character 👍 very nice gunfiregames
Data miners ruin everything. Imagine all that hard work making a secret you think will will be found sometime into later into the life of your game as a treat to players but nerds in their moms basements ruins it in a week....
You realize this secret was MEANT to be datamined right? Even the devs said so
this was meant to be datamined... the devs said so themselves they made it nearly impossible to figure this out without datamining... hence the glitchy look to the portal and dev items inside the portal referencing the company and breaking the 4th wall.

They didn't design the secret to be datamined because they knew it would be datamined eventually, they designed it to be datamined to offer a challenge and to create a community, which is exactly what happened. Devs don't HAVE to do anything, they did it because they wanted to and managed to reference pop culture in the process. It's definitely rewarding for the average player and fun is subjective.

Not true... Is rewards data miners not players... No amount of time put into this would feasibly lead to unlocking this particular secret... So while I agree most of the game is rewarding player/time investment, not this cuz the bulk of the work was done OUTSIDE the game...
