I've worked out the size of the van that i would feel most comfortable and confident to drive, while also on the other side, is the size i would feel that i could live comfortably with as this is the smallest interior space i can know i would be able to enjoy. I started out looking at big RVs and then van life customised. Your information so clearly and well presented, has decided the size for me but for me i think i like the van life look. I however wont be converting it myself but going to a proper firm that is experienced and professional in their conversations. Thank you

Robert, I learned alot. Good presentation. The music was so irritating though. Gets worse as you watch it. And the cameraman seemed reluctant to get in and show the features up close. Instead he stayed back and it became dark and distant features. But you did a great job. Do it one more time without the music and with a go pro on your head.

The best video about 59k and g. Bob was perfect to-go person in every way at colonial rv. Didn't like airstream guy.
I like the idea of better gas mileage, and parking space solution...Can fit width wise in a typical parking space?
Love the K, but there are so many buttons and snaps for all the Shades and curtains...I feel like if I owned one I would have to make some different solutions. Also I love that it has a gas option!!
Also the other thing is I want a composting toilet. Can the toilet be removed in the K? It looked like the base was hidden which would make it hard to remove.

What a fantastic job of showing all the details and differences between the two. I keep changing my mind which one I prefer. Question on the compressor fridge (?) on the K. How does it work when boondocking -- off the house battery, backed up by solar? Hope that's not a stupid question. 😊
Hello Jody,Thank you for your comment and to answer your question, yes this fridge is an AC/DC Fridge and does not run on propane. While boondocking the fridge can run on 12Volts and the solar will assist to help charge the batteries.

bob robelo I agree, I don't like the bathroom in these. Who wants to deal with hanging curtains and removing the floor for the drain. I could see while setting up the shower I would be bitching the whole time. I don't like walking in and the two beds are right there. It just seems like things need to be prepped before use when there are other styles without the hassel. Of course I didn't compare the pricing. The other brand was the price of buying a house.
Good job on the presentation. If you were to turn the table around it would be centered between the two bunks . The holes for the table poles is close to the Passenger side and the receptacle on the table is offset to center it.

What Winnebago needs to offer is a rear lounge version , similar to the floor plan offered by the The now defunctRoadtrek Zion. The Trevato models are essentially a two person vehicle

This fellow, IMHO, is one of the best RV presenters that I have seen on TH-cam. The only suggestion I would make, is to drop the music entirely, and add more information about the chassis and motor performance. I want to know how much the horsepower is and the foot pounds of torque. What brand are the shocks and does it have air suspension, etc. I don't want to see just the sizzle, I want to see the whole package.

I think the G model is more for couple as couple like to share their bed and feels more like home.
Just wondering if the TV can be positioned to the outside in the 59K. That would be huge! Also, could the K be ordered without the passenger table and floor storage so as the floor is totally open and flat the whole width of the side door? I would need to ramp a powerchair into that area. I'd rather not use a hitch mount hanging off the back.

36:56 I don't think you have to worry about breathing propane gas. The camper would go up like a roman candle way before you could unknowingly breathe in that much propane. It's there to alert you of a potential explosion hazard. It's the C0 detector that protects you from the odorless gas that can kill you by displacing oxygen in your blood. I think you just mixed the two up.
These would be realy nice if it had windows you could look out while standing up.
I like the custom builds of smaller companies like Van House Customs better... But still pretty cool. I'd just like something a little more personal.
I don't remember if he talked about tank sizes. I really like the 59 K. Would not use the middle table. Can you leave the air conditioner running when you leave the van for a day? For dog owners

Why doesn't the bathroom on the 59G have a towel rack & toilet paper holder like on the 59K???? That doesn't make any sense!!! And why does the sink on the 59G circular as opposed to a rectangle on the 59K????

Hello Drwoody2,Thank you for your question about the towing capacity of the Travato. Please note the 3500 Ram Promaster chassis has a limit of only 3,500. If your car/trailer weighs more than 3,500lbs you wouldn't be able to pull it.
unusual question: How many inches are between the 2 beds?
Hello TH-camSurfer, The Travato is only 21' in length and usually you can fit the coach in a standard parking space. As for the beds please note the distance between bed frames(on the floor) is 23" wide. The Width between the two bed cushions is 16".Thank youBobby

There is no place. Exterior storage is pretty much non existant

Well he didn't tell us anything important such as the price! Also saw no closet space so wonder where you would put your clothes and shoes. And what about the engineering degree you would need to understand all the technical bits. How many miles to the gallon? And the tv is much too small.

Can the solar panels & house batteries be increased to provide more/longer power while boondocking? I thought a macerator pump was for breaking up solids & stirring the black water tank prior to dumping?

I like the comparison idea & presentation but I do not like this class B vehicle. Way too fussy, flimsy back screen & poor layout IMO. I prefer the roadtrek models or coachmen. Also wish that more manufacturers in the USA market would offer induction cooktop & propane free options.
I’d be wary of any Chrysler based product. Here in Michigan these things will be rusted out in 5 years. Just check out any Michigan plated Dodge/Ram truck. Cratered with rust.

59k -- The 'dining' setup makes no sense to me.. I would like him to show someone actually sitting at the table for a meal with no real back support, unless your thigh length is 30".. I can only see tall thin men fitting back there and still having their feet on the floor. The 59G is generally more useful, imo, but they both reflect an 'rv' style vs. a 'van life' style, so seniors and millennials alike who want a mobile full time living space that can also blend into urban areas will still prefer custom van conversions. There's no need for a generator when solar is far superior on many fronts, and there's no need for a black water tank or microwaves. All that stuff , unnecessary vestiges of a product that was meant to support a family hooked up in a campground for a few days a year, when that crowd is already served by the class c and a motorhomes or travel trailers. This is not new, but an old school 'rv' mentality in a smaller form factor, and reflects a lack of understanding of where this industry should be going.The first manufacturer that addresses the needs of a more nomadic full-time demographic (as they already have in Europe) will make a lot of money.
